I would like to respond to Mr.*** *** ** response. I never agreed to pay Mr*** more than the agreed price of 10,000-$11,for season roomAs it was ,I had paid him $ 11,which was more than our agree price in which he had never completed the interior structures of season room and never fixed the roof which had to be dismantled and also never completed the lighting which was include in the project and price since he left the job . He has failed to this date to provide us with contract or any receipts of project. The job consisted of constructing a season room on a pre-existing deck. Unfortunately, Mr*** was unsuccessful with this project due to the fact he was unable to construct the roof without it leakingWhat kind of contracter is he if he can not build a roof without it leaking? After Mr.*** received this bill from *** *** he sent me additional bills on July for a railing kit which was already paid for and installed on the deck weeks prior; interior bead board that was paid for at *** *** and per text messages he informed me it was paid for and to pick it up at that store since I hired a new contracter and yes one of his boys did come back one day to put screening under the deck however screening needed to be reinstalled due to squeaks in deck and labor by new contractor to fix this other existing problem of Mr.*** not performing. Mr*** never returned to ** *** *** to fix the existing deckWhy would he come back and fix a deck he already put a new structure on; wouldn't he realize the deck needed repairing before he put the season room onto this deck? Mr.*** *** failed to explain what happened on this project; it was not due to reimbursing himIt was because roof was improperly installed and severe leaking occured all interior walls and wood was saturated I had paid Mr*** $all materials were paid forCost of project was estimated $10,- cap $11,000 in which still to this date I have not received any receipts or contractThe windows which I purchased thru *** *** have a Lifetime warranty however only if installed properly and surrounding structures leaked . The project was never completed due to the fact Mr*** was unable to fix the leaking roofAll interior construction had not been completed and his crew had returned 2-attempts to fix roof in which he was unableHe quit the job since he could not fix the roof in which he put over $of cauking material.(as you may know this is a temporary fix not something that is going to last & provide adequate structure. I hired a new contracter in which he agreed to reimburse since he could not fix roof properly. Mr.*** received a bill for repairs in which he then stated I owed him more weeks of labor and materials before this episode occuredThis is not true. The labor I was not responsible for since he installed the roof improperly and was triing to fix the leak; also all shingles on the season room in which he put on where improperly installed; in which I had to purchase new shingles thru my new contracterNow, this matter is going to small claims court this matter will be resolved there since he refuses to reimburse us for poorly constructed roof and season room structures
