I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below
I do not agree with his replyHe simply did not do what he said he was going to doHe put a valve in that we did not ask for and he saw where the spigot was when he agreed to do the jobHe did take me down to show me the valve I was not sure what the reason was he put it in for so I waited for my husband to come home and look at itHe knew very well that is not what we wantedHe did charge us for the valve and the work he did to install itAs far as being a reputable business that is not true eitherI wish I would have researched more because there were several complaints about him very similar to oursWe did agree on a price but he did not do what he said he was going to do

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear belowI was out of town and didn't see Allen heating responseThe public should know that another reputable larger business came to check my furnace and said Allen heating did not attach a hose that was key to making it operationalAllen's supplier also suggested I use someone elseI believe allen either doesn't know what he is doing or is intentionally trying to make money by charging customers for parts that he sends back under warranty and probably pockets the cast was explained to me that reputable companies don't pass on the cost of parts to customer when under warranty and they work with manufacturer to get their money back after they take care of their customerAnd if he can't afford to operate properly, he shouldn't be in businessSince *** *** came out to fix we've had no problemsThe doc was connect a simple hose

On 3/9/we installed a new *** high efficiency gas furnace for the *** aka *** Since that time we have had no calls except for a bad pressure swith and a dirty air filter on 1/8/ We recently had a call on 1/22/ We checked with the factory and were told what to do to correct the problem The warranty that comes with the furnace states what steps to take if you have a problem The *** do not want to follow this warranty that states that the factory will replace the parts but they do not pay the labor The *** wanted me to buy the part and not get paid I refused The claim that a tube was missing from the furnace is not true All tubes and pipes would have to be on for the furnace to work It has run since 3/9/ The whole problem is that they do not want to pay I checked with the factory service rep when I told them what they needed and they wanted me to pay I would not The problem of a bad part after three years is between the factory and the customer I install the furnace I do not make it!

On June of this year I was called to the *** residence to check out a laundry tub
pump that was very noisy and was not pumpingWe had quoted Mrs*** a price of
$for the service call and labor to do this and she agreed to thisI removed the
pump from the tub and checked it outI found that the motor was not functioning due to
bad bearingsI recommended a new" ***" pump be installed and gave her an
estimate to do this
That evening Mr*** called me and was furious that I would charge them to install the
new pumpI explained that the reason I am in business is to make a living and it is not
our policy to do free workHis phone was acting up and so I went to his house to explain
this to him so I was sure that he understoodHe thanked me and agreed to the estimate I
gave him
The next day 6/5/my helper and myself did the work and everything worked fineI
also had checked an outside hose bib valve that was leakingSomeone had installed a hot
tub on a deck right where the valve was and there was only an inch or two between the
house and the tubI said I would get the smallest valve I could find and see if it would fit
between the tub and the houseThere was not enough room
I told mrs*** that I could install a new valve in another location which would be
somewhat costly or I could install a shut off valve in the pipe in the basement and they
could turn it on when they wanted to use the valve and thus eliminate it from leaking
when they were not using the valveShe said to do thatI installed the valve and did not
charge anything for the laborI did charge for the valve
The next day Mrs*** called to complain and wanted the valve removedI have no
idea whyI took her to the basement and showed her the pump and the valve on the
When the job was done and neither my helper, myself or Mrs*** saw any water on
electronics, a TV or the floorWe had a step ladder set up to reach the pipe so I have no
idea where anything could have been near there and we also had a pail on the ladder to
catch any waterThe water was shut off and we drained the pipes before starting
Mrs*** also told me that she had called *** pumps and they gave her a low price
on the same model pump and said she could have bought it from themI called ***
and talked to their customer relations lady and she told me that it was totally falseThey
do not sell directly to customers at allI have dealt with *** for many years and
know that they only sell to distributorsI am a business and can not even buy directly
from them
I do not know what to think about this situationI gave them a price before doing the
work and kept to that priceThe work was done correctly and we saw no water anywhere
after the job was completedI try to keep my customers happy and have a lot of repeat
customers but in this case I am totally baffled as to what they want except to get
something for nothing
Thank you for bringing this to my attention
Sincerely, *** ***

On 3/9/we installed a new *** high efficiency gas furnace for the *** at ** *** ***, ***, n.y We had some venting problems and contacted the *** factory service rep We were told to drill out a drain port and told us what drill size to use The
problem stopped and we did not hear from them until 1/8/ There was another problem and we once again contacted the factory rep We were told to replace the furnace vent assembly I would like to point out that the factory warranty that comes with the furnace states that there is no warranty on labor and that parts are warranted for years The parts are sent to the factory to be checked and if there is a problem with the part any money paid for the new part will be reimbursedI have run tests as prescribed by the factory tech and have no reason to pay for the part and wait for a refund The furnace belongs to the *** and they own the warranty I told them that I can not pay for their repairs and parts and see no reason why I should The factory warranty explains this in writing and I really do not understand the ***'s problem with thisIf you have any future questions please feel free to contact me Thank you, Ashley Allen

I am not at all surprised after dealing with these people. I originally went to the ***' home to determine what was causing a noise in their old laundry tub pump and why it would not pump. We quoted them $to check this out. We determined the motor was the problem
and we could not locate a supplier for this pump. We quoted them a price of $to install a new pump which is sold in a neighboring village and parts and service are readily available.
Mrs*** said to go ahead and do the job for the quoted price. Later that night Mr*** called and was very upset that we were not going to install the new pump for free. Their phone was not working properly so I went to their house and spoke with Mr ***. We agreed on what needed to be done and returned the next day to do the job. We charged exactly what we quoted them
We were also asked to try to replace an outside hose bib valve. They have a hot tub that is outside and is only a few inched in front of the valve so I told them I would get a new valve that would be the shortest I could buy and try to see if it would fit between the tub and the house. I got the shortest valve made and it was too long to fit between the house and the tub so it could not be installed. I told Mrs*** that we could install a shut off valve inside the house so they could shut the leaky valve off when it was not in use and would therefore not leak when they were not using it. She told me to go ahead and install it. We installed the valve and did not charge for any labor. Today 6/7/she called complaining about the amount we had charged for the original job. We charged exactly what I had quoted but she said the pump could have been purchased cheaper I charged $more that what she could buy it from the factory
Later today she called me and said that she wanted the valve we had installed removed. I asked her why and she said that there was some water on the floor when we left. I have no idea what that has to do with anything and I had taken her to the basement and showed her the valve before I left and I did not see any water nor did she mention any water at that time
We did a good job and for the price we had quoted. These people do not make any sense to me. I am not going to work for free which is what they want. It is not my fault that they installed their hot tub almost against the tub so you can not get to the hose bib. There is nothing wrong with the valve we installed after Mrs*** asked us to install it. I see no reason to credit them anything

We do work for *** and part of that is to install window or portable air conditioners. We installed a portable air conditioner for Ms*** in her daughter's bedroom. Due to the type of window we could not use a window unit so we used an air conditioner that sits on the floor. We
explained that the unit would condense and create water which could be drained from the unit when it was full of water or we could use a plastic tube that came with the unit and let it run into a container. They chose the latter. They supplied a container. Later they called me back to say that the container they had was too small and did not hold enough water. I found a larger container for them and gave that to them. This container has to be dumped when it is full or of course it will overflow onto the floor. Some weeks later a maintenance man was investigating a strong odor. He discovered that the container they were using, which was right beside the bed had not been emptied and had run all over the carpeting. The *** obviously were somehow unaware that their carpeting was constantly wet or they simply did not care. I understand that the apartment owners replaced the carpeting. I do not understand why we should be responsible because they failed to dump a container of water. The unit was installed correctly and they were aware that the glass container sitting beside the bed where the daughter slept had to be dumped occasionly

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below
*** allen and his wife came to my apartment I have witnesses and
supplied an ice tea bottle we were never told there was a way to empty
the machine and the ice tea bottle was emptied every morning but
apparently leaked every night because the bottle *** supplied was not
big enough to hold a nights worth of waterthe carpet has not been
replaced but has been removed*** the owner of the property has agreed
to replace the carpet destroyed by *** bad installation for
once *** has paid that to the owner carpet will be replaced, a new
pad will be installed, and the pieces of wood that have bubbled will be
replacedas for the lies *** is telling I do have witnesses that know
what I say is true and am prepared to produce them if neededif he
would just pay for his mistake and own up to it this could be resolved
sooner
