Allen's Plumbing Supply Reviews (10)

I went to Allen's Plumbing Supply in February to get a tub shower and look at vanity tops and vanity'sI was sold a tub by Joe a worker at Allen'sThe tub did not have a tile flange on it when I got it home to install it and so I brought it back to the store I explained my issue and they they explained the tub needed to be used with fiberglass walls that are specific to itI asked to return the tub and had no issuesThey took the tub back and as they did not have another one I could use in stock gave me my money backI then got a tun at another retailer and when I needed a vanity and top I went back to Allen'sI walked the showroom and they man in the showroom was very helpful and pleasantHe showed me some really nice products and I was able to order a new vanity and top for a very reasonable priceThe vanity was all wood not MDF like [redacted] or [redacted] and the top was a quartz that my wife and I loveI would recommend Allen's, I have lived in the area of Seymour for most of my life and I have heard the horror stories about them but I really do feel they are trying to turn it around and make it a place you will choose to go spend your moneyGive them a chance they may surprise you

To whom it may concern, The sizing of a boiler should be done by the installing contractor prior to the purchase or installationAccording to this complaint, the customer purchased the boiler prior to confirmation by his installer who is unknown to Allen's Plumbing SupplyAs noted on our receipts ( [redacted] ) Allen's Plumbing Supply does not offer returns or exchanges on boilers Allen's Plumbing Supply

The customer came to Allen's Plumbing Supply looking to complete a DIY projectThe salesman at the counter provided her with all the necessary parts to complete the projectAfter purchasing the correct parts to complete the project the customer decided she was going to hire someone to complete the projectIt clearly states on all receipts that all items are non refundable

I am rejecting this response because:
If that was the case that my installer who Allen's plumbing referred to us afterwards, should be the one to properly size it rather than himself sizing it for us He shouldn't of told us that this is the one to get and then have us pay for it knowing that it might not be the proper oneIf he had any doubt and him knowing this and us unaware of this he tricked us into getting it knowing that he does not offer a return policyWe went to him for his advice and since that was his response he was fully aware that he was lying to us instead of offering us the correct advise only to make a saleI am offended at his response and would ask the Revdex.com if they thought this was fair? Thank you and please contact me with any questions.
Sincerely,

I am rejecting this response because:
Again that is the same response I got last timeBut that should of been told to us instead of the owner saying he will come down and size it for us! He lied and gave us the wrong information only to make a sale!

I am rejecting this response because: I was specifically encouraged to buy additional materials - which the salesman knew I would not need - and specifically told "I'll take back what you don't use"......I was never told about the store's "no return policy" - in fact quite the opposite I was told "I will take back whatever you don't use".....it was clear upon purchase that this project may not work at all and I would need to return everything......Again, a no return policy was never mentionedhanding me a receipt AFTER purchase that says in small letters at the bottom - no returns - is so unethical....especially when I was encouraged to buy extra un-needed material "just in case" and then told "I will take back whatever you don't need"I would understand if this was a special order situation, but these are generic PVC parts and connectors that can easily be resold Why does it matter if it was a DIY project or not? Would you take it back if I was a contractor and you could sell to me in the future? When we spoke you said you would not be in business if you took DIY stuff back.....your guy spent about min with me and added a bunch of extra materials saying he would take them backNow the store is hanging its hat on writing "no returns" on the receiptThat is incredibly dishonest and unethicalI demand a full refundThis store's dishonesty and unethical behavior makes me sickI was specifically told they would take things backI placed many, many calls to discuss this.....I never even got the courtesy of a returned call I am so angry at this point....I was mislead and taken advantage of as a consumer
