ok so I went through my check register and she is correct on the money amount. I accidentally totaled in a credit card payment from the next line. so that is my fault. I am sorry about that. I did complain several times. I am going to try to go through my paperwork to see what I wrote down.
the fact of the matter remains. it was still leaking all this time. they had from june 1st of 2013 until they stopped for the winter servicing which must be around the end of November I don't know exactly so where were they. they would have caught the leak then too. it is still a year later, there is still leaks, it still could have blown up my house with me in it. I still had to go out and buy an new stove (electric) because I didn't have enough pressure to cook cause of the leaks. and I still want half my money back! I want this thing removed! off my property it is a hazard.
the fire township inspector came out yesterday. he did not touch it! but stated this is the worst tank he has ever seen and was surprised they let this go for so long that they should have come out & changed it out.
when the guy came out to test & show me how everything worked with propane like a tutorial he got the burner to ignite after he left when I would put on the oven the pilot was lite but no blue flame and the gas would come out & the smoke, carbon, fire detector's would go off and I would smell it & turn it off.   i called & complained then too cause I was terrified & paranoid about it, so I know I talked to [redacted], I know I complained to her cause she was the one who would teach me about locking in my rate & how propane would work. I know I complained to the delivery drivers. I might not know who they are but I bhed and asked for discounts like disabled or military. I know I was blown off and apparently still am.
it is not my job to keep track of who I talked too & when!. it is theirs. if that is not done that I shouldn't be punished for it. but that is what is happening. I doubt I am the only one but I am the one that is not going to go away & roll over.
I want half my money back & this hazard removed!

To Whom it may concern,
5pt;">I am writing in response to the above filed complaint dated May 21 of 2014. Mrs. [redacted] called the office on May 21, 2014 and had reported that she felt the propane tank had been leaking since they took over the property in June of 2013. The customer then stated she was unable to get anyone to service the equipment
due to being the property of Allen’s Oil and Propane therefore she watched a video on how to perform a leak test performed the test on her own and found the tank to be leaking. All of this transpiring at the time our line was disconnected by ** Gas. When asking her why she hadn't contacted us, she stated she had on several occasions however nothing was ever done,
While reviewing the customer's account, I had found that there were no concerns of a leak or requests of a leak test documented since the time of gas check, whereas a leak test had been performed and nothing was found. When asking the Customer who she had reported these concerns to, she was unable to provide me with a name of anyone to support her claims.
Mrs. [redacted] clearly expressed that she was upset about her usage and the price per gallon she was paying. She states in her complaint that she had spent approximately $4000 this past year and disputing $2500 of it, when in fact only 3 deliveries were made, a total of 575.2 gallons, totaling $1953.40 since June of 2013. lam including a customer transaction report supporting all. We are unaware of what remains in the tank at this time, so these amounts may vary.
We are aware that this winter was financially harsh on all our Customer's as we understand they have to do what is economically best for their families. Allen’s has agreed to buy back any product remaining in the tank in addition to waiving all fees involved with the removal of our equipment. We do not agree with issuing a credit to the customer that exceeds the amount she has spent as a result of a leak we were not made aware of at anytime during the term of the customer's account until after our tank was disconnected by [redacted] Gas and their conversion completed.
Allen’s Oil and Propane value all of our customers and their safety of the utmost importance however we cannot rectify a situation if not presented with the opportunity to do so.
Sincerely,
[redacted]/ Service Department Allen's Oil and Propane

Review: I have a propane tank that came with the house I purchased last year. it was & is all rusty including the fittings. I did not know anything about propane. I complained right away that I smelled the gas coming from it last june. I complained every time I called for a fill that it was rusty & leaking. they said no it is not. I found out only the company owning the tank & the homeowner can touch it. that the township & no other company could test it. so I kept complaining to [redacted]. I got excusses that the winter was colder or the price went up. I did not know you could lock in the rate either. I asked for the owner in the middle of winter & she said she talked to him & he said no refund & it was not leaking after she had me on hold. so she said everytime do you want us to fill it. well I cant go without hot water & had no choice I could not have another company fill it either cause I found out in nj only the company that owns it can fill it. now I used a space heater and an electric blanket all winter and never put the theremasta over 65 so the pipes wouldn't freeze. I spent $4,000.00 this winter on propane! at $4.00 a gallon. which is a travesty in an of it self. I told them all along since they wouldn't come replace it or give me a better rate I was switching to [redacted] gas. so I did! but right before they cut the line today I watched a you tube video on how to detect propane tank leaks. it said get a water bottle dawn dish soap & water, squirt it & if it bubbles you have a leak. well it sure did leak a lot at the fittings. I took pictures & video & told them to cut the line so they could finish hooking up the ** gas. I called allen's propane and told [redacted] again! she said service would call me back. [redacted] in service called me back and when I told her the story she said well we don't have any record of your complaints (of course not) and we don't service during the winter but we came out last june when you complain and did a leak test & there was none. well I haven't touched the tank. well ...Desired Settlement: we haven't done anything to it and it is just me & my husband. [redacted] said they have a order in to repaint it I said no it is supposed to have been replaced last summer & wasn't. she said well you cant prove it so we will pick it up 1st thing in the morning and I will wave the pick up fee. what fee? & we re-emberse what is left in the tank. %25. I said I let the Revdex.com know & call my lawyer. cause I want half my money back. a large slow leak is like water it adds up quickly. I had to have it filled..

Review: [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because:

I showed the men who picked up the tank where the leaks where. my husband was here. I did complain over & over. when I first bought the house I did sign off because I didn't know any better but now I do! I reject the complaint. there is no protection for homeowners with propane companies.

I don't care anymore. I am moving on with my life & happily with [redacted] gas.
