February 24, I am enclosing the letter that I sent in response to [redacted] on February 5, She seemed to have sent a letter to you all before talking to meI did not refuse to change her treatment; I left a message stating that we were giving her the best treatment according to the practice parametersAfter receiving her letter of complaint I informed her that the best treatment for her would be for two shots (indoor and outdoor allergens, which cannot be mixed, necessitating two shots)I explained this to her in the office and she decided she wanted just the outdoor allergens so she could have one shotI said that that would be fineThere was no refusal to go to one shot, I just left a message for her stating that standard of care, best practices, and best treatment indicated that she should have two shots (this was before seeing her in the office, before receiving her letter of complaint)She did not talk to me directly before making the complaint, I also explained to her that I do not do the charges, that is up to her insurance and the Allergy and Asthma CenterI do not have control over how much she is chargedI will also enclose her skin testing results and the literature from the Allergy Boards stating that I offered her the best and appropriate treatmentHer accusations are unfair and inaccurateI would like to reiterate:She did not talk to me directly before going to Revdex.comI never said that we could not go to one shot wither her, I only said, that based on her allergy testing, she should get two shots, so that is the prescription I wrote for herHer skin testing (showing her sensitivity to cockroach and several pollens, which again, cannot be mixed, necessitating the two shot protocol)When she asked to go to one shot, we went over her options, and put her on one shotI have no control over what her insurance charges, and as an employee of the Allergy and Asthma Center, I do not have control over the charges made, but my understanding is that it is within the range for local allergistsHer accusations are not only inaccurate but misplacedShe can feel free to talk to the billing manager with her issuesHer care was completely appropriate and I strove to give her the best chance for the best resultsThe relevant passages from the Allergy and Immunology practice parameters are enclosed, showing that two shots are recommended for someone with her allergy profileWhen she told me she only wanted one shot, I offered her that optionI never told her that should could not have only one shot, just that it was my recommendation for her to receive the best possible treatment.I hope this clears things upI only want what is best for my patientsI think the evidence above and enclosed shows that [redacted] was treated exactly according to the best standards.Sincerely , Ifeyinwa O, MD

The recourse I requested for my original complaint was a removal of the fee and that Dr. O[redacted] order no additional serum for me. She agreed verbally, but unfortunately I do not have anything in writing to that effect.
However, I can't imagine why she would change the cost of my care so significantly without consulting me first.Sent from my [redacted]

I am enclosing the letter that I sent in response to [redacted] on February 5, 2015. She seemed to have sent a letter to you all before talking to me. I did not refuse to change her treatment; I left a message stating that we were giving her the best treatment...

according to the practice parameters. After receiving her letter of complaint I informed her that the best treatment for her would be for two shots (indoor and outdoor allergens, which cannot be mixed, necessitating two shots). I explained this to her in the office and she decided she wanted just the outdoor allergens so she could have one shot. I said that that would be fine. There was no refusal to go to one shot, I just left a message for her stating that standard of care, best practices, and best treatment indicated that she should have two shots (this was before seeing her in the office, before receiving her letter of complaint). She did not talk to me directly before making the complaint, I also explained to her that I do not do the charges, that is up to her insurance and the Allergy and Asthma Center. I do not have control over how much she is charged. I will also enclose her skin testing results and the literature from the Allergy Boards stating that I offered her the best and appropriate treatment. Her accusations are unfair and inaccurate. I would like to reiterate:1. She did not talk to me directly before going to Revdex.com. I never said that we could not go to one shot wither her, I only said, that based on her allergy testing, she should get two shots, so that is the prescription I wrote for her. Her skin testing (showing her sensitivity to cockroach and several pollens, which again, cannot be mixed, necessitating the two shot protocol). When she asked to go to one shot, we went over her options, and put her on one shot.2. I have no control over what her insurance charges, and as an employee of the Allergy and Asthma Center, I do not have control over the charges made, but my understanding is that it is within the normal range for local allergists. Her accusations are not only inaccurate but misplaced. She can feel free to talk to the billing manager with her issues.3. Her care was completely appropriate and I strove to give her the best chance for the best results. The relevant passages from the Allergy and Immunology practice parameters are enclosed, showing that two shots are recommended for someone with her allergy profile. When she told me she only wanted one shot, I offered her that option. I never told her that should could not have only one shot, just that it was my recommendation for her to receive the best possible treatment.I hope this clears things up. I only want what is best for my patients. I think the evidence above and enclosed shows that [redacted] was treated exactly according to the best standards.Sincerely ,

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted]. It is unfortunate that it was only after I filed a formal complaint that Dr. O[redacted] was willing to offer other alternatives beside she "cannot help me." Nevertheless, she has finally agreed to provide the affordable and effective care I had been receiving from Dr. O[redacted], which is all I had been asking for all along.
Thank you Revdex.com for providing such a critical service.
Regards, [redacted]
