Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: 90% of this response is wrong, she said it WOULD BE, not it COULD be $ This is not disputed It's not that difficult to look up a cost of service, -all it takes is someone competent enough to understand what they're looking at God forbid someone comes into the office that has a deductible and they have to actually look up what the cost would be!!! Using her own analogy, even a Chinese food restaurant worker knows the basic concept of a service transaction -maybe they should hire their next Office Manager from there Also to clarify, -called times, wrong - try - times over days, and that was only because I couldn't get a call back Staff was frightened - wrong, once again, -I never at any point acted unprofessionally, cursed -and certainly never made any threats, and anyone in that office would attest to that That's a ridiculous claim, but then again this is a ridiculous office manager that's obviously angry that she was forced to witness the Doctor's shining display of justice in front of her very eyes, -issuing a refund for $100, and by the woman's own admission that communicated the refund recently, -was reprimandedNot for fear, not for anything else -other than it was common sense to do so, to correct the incompetence of an office manager that has such a difficult time understanding that you cannot tell someone a cost will be $151, and then after the fact, increase it by $and expect an 'oh well', I guess I'll just pay $for her mistake' response Not sure what planet that's acceptable on Regards, [redacted]

May 27, 2015 Please find attached copy of Case # [redacted]. This is not an incorrect charge. This patient had $100 returned to him by check, #[redacted] on May 18th so that we had documented proof of payment. This was not an incorrect charge, THIS IS THE AMOUNT THAT HE OWED FOR MEDICAL SERVICES ./...

This person and all patients of the facility are given a fee schedule as a new patient. He asked the receptionist if it was $175 for the visit, she said it could be and since we are contracted with your insurance it would actually be $151.48, if that is the service you receive. Reception DOES NOT KNOW UPON ARRIVAL OF WHAT TREATMENT THE PATIENT WILL HAVE UNTIL THEY ARE LEAVING. We have to use CPT codes which have stringent guidelines of what is done for the patient at time of service. After his visit was over the CPT CODE REQUIRED AND DOCUMENTED was higher then the brief visit code that he and the receptionist had spoken about. The man went ballistic. After more the 18 calls from the man and threats to staff and two hours of my time speaking with his insurance company and the insurance company advising that we contact the police. Might I also mention a copy of the visit notes was sent to the insurance company and the visit and charge had been properly coded and charged for. The clinical staff and front end staff were becoming frightened and I DECIDED TO SEND THIS MAN $100 BACK, just to get rid of him. The insurance company informed me that was not the correct thing to do since lowering the price was not accurate coding and charging, but I will not have the staff afraid to be here and leave the premises. I am also attaching a copy of the certified receipt and the check cashed front and back. As you can see he not only wants cash back but more then he paid, and he wants the visit for free. Yes he attached a copy of the fee schedule but this is a medical facility not a Chinese restaurant, people " DON'T CIRCLE WHAT THEY WANT TO PAY".. Since there is no place to attached proof I will be faxing this and supporting documentation. Sincerely,
