Hello,
I apologize for the extended delay in respondingI have been out of the country until recently.
Your driver had no idea whether or not I was the registered ownerIn actuality, my fiance is the primary registered owner, but I am mentioned on all documentation and would have been able to authorize the releaseI felt that he did not do so because I am a Deaf woman.
This is blatant discriminationI understand that parking legally is my responsibility, but I should have been offered the option of removing my vehicle (as you admitted that you offer) from the tow for the $fee.
I would like to be refunded minus the $fee, which I think is a fair compromisePlease let me knowThank you.
Regards,

Hi [redacted],

In the first email you stated it was your car but after further review, you are not the registered owner, with that said I can not go into much detail of the vehicle that you are inquiring about.
  ...

But this is what I can tell you. This vehicle was towed through Hyattsville City Parking Enforcement in which they use a towing rotation of multiple towing companies, that handle all the accidents, abandoned vehicles, rush hour and  etc. On this day Alleycat towing was dispatched out by the Hyattsvillle City. Every meter and multiple signs are posted which have the time posted on them  when not to park because of rush hour, rush hour starts at 4pm, with that said you also stated we towed the registered owner's vehicle at 4:05pm, after further review the call from Hyattsville City came in to our office at 4:15pm and we arrived at 4:19pm which is still after the 4pm and before the 7pm allotted time for that section of Rt. 1. You also stated that you ran out and someone told you about a $25.00 fee which was the parking enforcement and that is their fee for a vehicle release form, if it were us that you ran out to we still could not have dropped the vehicle for our drop fee of $50.00 because you are not the registered owner. Now if the registered owner came out the city can order us to drop it for that drop fee of $ 50.00.   I am sure you know how frustrating it is to sit in traffic especially on Rt. 1 and the car you are inquiring about was in the way of rush hour traffic. FYI from now on please be cautious of where you park especially in high traffic areas where there may be restrictions for parking. Sorry for any inconvenience, we have to abide by the laws and rules ourselves and do the job we are assigned to do and unfortunately this was one of them.

Regards,
Alleycat Towing

Form submitted from: http://www.alleycattowing.com/contact-us.htmlName: [redacted]Email: [redacted]@[redacted].comSubject: RefundComments: I have filed a complaint with Revdex.com, written reviews on [redacted] and [redacted], and will file an EEO complaint due to the following incident: You towed my car at 4:05 when restrictions started at 4PM. I ran outside, and you refused to take the car off the towing truck. You told me it would be $25 and I could pick the car up right down the street. I let you take the car. When I went down the street, I found out it was a $25 fee to the police department AND $175 for the tow. I was lied to, and then I found out the car was over a mile away at the towing lot. You had parked it in the mud, and refused to help me navigate the crowded, dark, and rainy lot to get the car out. I felt taken advantage of because I was a woman. My friend (a male) had the same thing happen recently at the same location, and they took his car off the truck and let him pay $50 to the driver (your same company).  I would like a refund. If I am given this I will remove my reviews and cancel my complaint. You can contact me via email.Thank you.
