Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2016/04/05) */
We believed that Mr. [redacted] was smoking in the room because 1). Their end of the hallway smelled like smoke and smell right in front of their door(they were the only ones on that end of hallway) 2. We were not able to get their departure...

receipt under the door around 5:15 am(this is another sign of smoking in room) and we knew they were smokers because we saw them enter and exit the east end of building often. 3). The east end hallway window was opened(which is another sign that the smell was trying to be removed from that end of hall).
Because of the reasons above the Front desk agent decided to call the police and have them decide if they were indeed smoking or not. In the past calling up to the rooms and asking "Are you smoking in your room" never got a honest answer from any quest, so once again this is what lead to the call at 5:37 am. At 6:23 am two officers come to hotel and before they went to Mr. [redacted]'s room, the front desk agent showed them the Jucuzzi/fantasy suite contract the guest sign saying he understood no smoking or any other guest to room other than the two he is signing for. That is when the Front desk agent informed the guest the possibility of more guests but agent was not sure. At 6:31 am the two officers go up to room, knock and enter room and return at 6:31 am . They reported that they didn't smell or see any evidence that lead them to believe that they were smoking in room and only saw two adults in room. The officers then left at 6:34 am.
Around 7:06 am Mr. [redacted] comes to front desk to find out why the police were called to his room. He spoke to the front desk agent who had called the police and was told why he did what he did.
As far as the broken tooth, my question is why would she not have told or showed the two officers that came into the room what happened or when Mr. [redacted] came to desk at 7:06 inform the desk of incident. According to his claim, "she fell over a stool trying to wake me up", now if you two are in the same bed, why would she have to get up and go to the other side of the room to be able to fall over the stool. The stool is kept by the door, not any where close to bed, unless he was sleeping in the chairs(which would backup her claim for the need of extra-room comes with 5 pillows). I never knew anything about the tooth until Monday morning when I received a call from Mr. [redacted].
As far as a refund, I will not be issuing one because they both stayed and enjoyed the amenities the whole night. The call didn't happen to 6:31 am. No police report was filed so I don't feel Mr. [redacted] career is in jeopardy. Also I don't feel we are responsible for the broken tooth and no emotional damages they feel is necessary.
Respectfully submitted,
[redacted]-Hotel Manager
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 7, 2016/04/06) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
This is umexceptable because it ruined our weekend and hAve to pay for her tooth to get fixed. I feel insulted and discrimination because we are young. I want a refund plus money for broken tooth and pain and suffering. If something is not done I will take legal action.
Final Business Response /* (4000, 9, 2016/04/12) */
I have nothing new to add to this. My decision is still the same.
