Review: False advertisement! Company posed as a moving company and not a brokerage, which caused me to pay $612 for apparently no reason. Paid extra amount in the bill for weight tickest for the truck full with gas, after pick up and prior to delivery, however did not receive any tickts. Very harrasing and picky as far as payment by money order ( which could not be from [redacted] etc only postage). Also paid initial deposit with credit card and asked for a copy of my I.D and copy of the card violating privacy. The company they used was Best rate movers and they charged me for tape, blankets, boxes, wrapping and boxing. My estimate was totally incorrect from what he told me once evrything was loaded and packed. Movers were had ne regards for dates I requested for pickup and deleivery. they came 5 days late and a day early for pick up which was a big inconveinence . Also I was told I only have to pay 50% upon pick up and was told to pay 70% of entire payment instead. Customer service is also terrible in terms of which they do business in ever aspect you can imagine.Desired Settlement: Repayment of hidden fees and payment for weigh tickets that I paid for and did not receive.Also, estimate was off; I was not told I would have to pay for tape, wrapping , boxes etc. They gave me the impression everything was inclded. I was charge for storage distance and elevator fees etc.
