Review: Substandard and unfinished remodel construction including: substandard wall, trim and door painting, substandard and not working electrical, unfinished and poorly constructed baseboards and crown moldings, damage to new wood flooring , damage to ceilings and improper ceiling repairs, failure to refinish existing room flooring and damage to existing floor, failure to provide agreed living room door repairs, failure to provide agreed furniture restoration services, failure to provide agreed plans and specifications to HOA, failure to provide agreed electrical assessment, failure to provide agreed duct cleaning, and failure to provide agreed protection to existing furniture and flooring during construction. Failure to complete project in a timely manner. Failure to cure after notice of deficiencies given in writing.Desired Settlement: Refund of overpayment to enable completion of work.

This is our response to [redacted] response to our complaint filed with the BetterBusiness Bureau on September 23, 2013. Why **. [redacted] has apparently waitedalmost 1 1/2 years to file this response is unclear; however, what does seem clear isthat the passage of time has clouded his recollection of the true facts involved in thismatter and his failure to perform the agreed-upon repairs competently. Even in hisresponse, **. [redacted] fails to address most of the items included in our complaint.With respect to this belated response, our comments follow:1) Despite [redacted] claim, the painter did not walk off the job. The painter wasincompetent and **. [redacted] wholly failed to supervise his work to assure that itwas done properly. See Independent Inspection Report, Attachment, Attachment 1.2) Despite [redacted] claim, the drywall, door hardware, electrical and flooringissues were NOT 95% resolved. See [redacted] Letter of August 7, 2013, Attachment2.3) Despite [redacted] claim, he was afforded amble time to do corrective workand wholly failed to do that work. See October 2, 2103 Attorney Letter,Attachment 3.4) Despite [redacted] claim, the drawings for the HOA were not submittedtimely (and only eight days AFTER this complaint was filed and five monthsafter the drawing were due). See October 1, 2013 [redacted] e-mail, Attachment 4.5) Despite [redacted] claim, the floors were not properly done and, in fact, werebadly damaged as he wholly failed to protect them as required by the contract. SeeIndependent Inspection Report, Attachment 2.The comments regarding billing and cost to correct the deficient work done by **.[redacted] are irrelevant-- a competent contractor would have done the work right inthe first place. More significantly, some items (e.g., damaged newly installed floors)could not be repaired at all, as the repairs could not be done without tearing up andredoing the floors. Instead area rugs are being used to cover the damaged areas.Finally, **. [redacted] requests that the Revdex.com review his record with it. We suggest areview of [redacted] website. It reveals that he claims to be accredited by theRevdex.com. A claim that is not substantiated by the Revdex.com website. See Attachment 5.
