The customer states that the alarm was armed, but there is no way to know this for sureNormally we would take their word for it, but in this case where a refund of cash is requested, it must be noted that there is no verifiable way to confirm if it was actually armed or notWe did receive test
signals from the system the night before, so it was communicating with the central stationWhile it is possible that the glass break sensor failed or is faulty, our tech did trip it when we were called out after the robbery and it showed on the keypadAnother thing to consider is that it is not possible for us to know when a particular device has gone bad or is faultyThe only way to know this is for the customer to routinely test their own system. After the robbery, we offered to replace the glass break sensor and also put in some additional devices for added coverage at no cost to the customer but were deniedAt that point, the customer brought another alarm company in to test and take over monitoring of the systemThe customer had signed a contract for us to provide monitoring services through December of We are willing to allow cancellation of the contract without paying term. The $1,is for the system installation, which remains in the residence and was purchased outrightThere is no reason to refund this money as the parts are still there and operationalThe customer also requests a refund of $per quarter for three quarters of monitoringThe actual invoice amount per quarter is $+ tax ($113.66/QTR)We are willing to refund the requested three quarters of monitoring at $113.66/QTR totaling $
