Initial Business Response / [redacted] (1000, 5, 2015/10/09) */ Good afternoon [redacted] Sorry for your inconvenience. We pride ourselves on customer service and have been working directly with multiple Manufacturers as a wholesale distributor for over 30 years. Each Mfg has their own policies, procedures... and paperwork regarding warranties and/or labor claims. All paperwork and requests need to be submitted to the shop that installed the converter on 03/28/2014. You must have your original Mfg warranty card that was given to you at the time of installation along with any diagnostics done on the car. If your vehicle failed smog, you will need a copy of that printout as well. Once this paperwork has been submitted to the shop, they will contact our team for an RMA#. Please note that any credits issued by the Mfg will be passed along to the shop's account and you will need to follow up with them. Thanks Initial Consumer Rebuttal / [redacted] (3000, 8, 2015/10/22) */ Dear All Involved, Here is the paperwork in response to the BBB complaint, case #XXXXXXXX, against Allied Exhaust Systems regarding the faulty catalytic converter installed, then removed and replaced, on my 1990 VW Westfalia . The failed smog test paperwork is here, the manufacturer's warranty card is not as it was never sent to Hermosa Automotive Inc., so it could not have been given to me. You have a history of not sending the proper paperwork for your products as evidenced with the long delay of sending paperwork regarding refunding my money due to a faulty product for a month after being notified of a need to pick up the faulty catalytic converter. I will consider the case closed when I have been refunded the price of the catalytic converter and the labor cost of uninstalling the faulty cat. and reinstalling the new one. Thank you, [redacted] cc. Hermosa Automotive Inc. BBB Allied Exhaust Systems Final Consumer Response / [redacted] (4200, 21, 2015/11/23) */ I talked with [redacted] of Hermosa Auto Sat. 11/ 21/2015 and he said Allied Exhaust sent someone last week to pick up the defective catalytic converter, which they had already picked up. The guy asked [redacted] what they did with it and he responded he did not know as it was the guy's company that took it. He stated again there was no warranty card in the original box, the guy did not ask for any paperwork as you alluded to in the last response from Allied Exhaust. There has been no word as to the "inspection" of the defective cat. converter and I am STILL out a lot of money! Thank you, [redacted] Final Business Response / [redacted] (4000, 23, 2015/12/02) */ Good afternoon [redacted] A credit, on behalf of Magnaflow, was issue to Hermosa Automotive and posted to their account. Please follow up with Hermosa Automotive to reconcile your dispute Thanks
