3 blink error code - no heat
Repairman came, was very thorough in explaining the investigation strategy/process. Clearly knew what he was doing, and explained the various possible causes. Problem turned out to be a bloated dead mouse that had somehow gotten into the exhaust vent and crawled 30 feet all the way to the furnace and died totally blocking the exhaust pipe. Gross. He cleaned everything thoroughly - furnace works again! Thank you!

We had a good experience with allied. Jim came out and called around for parts for our air conditioner. A 3 day heat wave was coming, so we really appreciated him going the extra mile, so we would be comfortable. Thanks again. Marge and Darrell [redacted].

On 11/13/2014 Allied Heating and Air conditioning installed a new furnace in my home. In Feb. and most of March 2015 I was in Florida on Vacation. I had our heat set on 60 degrees and only two 40 watt security lights on timers running in the house. On 3/27/2015 I discovered that the air conditioning compressor would run when ever the furnace came on. I called Allied and was initially told that someone would come on Monday as it was Friday afternoon and all men were at jobs or the Home Show. I stated that I turned off the heat when problem was discovered and must have a serviceman come sooner. Someone did come late in the day but could not determine the problem but did shut off the circuit breaker to the A/C so I could run my furnace. He returned on Monday and fixed the problem. I called Mr. [redacted] the owner on Tuesday (Next Day) to discuss the situation and request compensation for my excess costs of utilities and possible damage To my A/C unit. Mr. [redacted] said that he was with a salesman and would call me back. He did not call back. I called the next day and Mr. ** said that He was working on it and would call me. From that time on Mr. ** has not returned my daily calls. On 4/2/2015 I had an energy audit done by [redacted] and a GAS LEAK form the furnace gas connection was detected. I called Allied immediately was told that someone would come the next day as it was late in the day. I said that we really needed someone that day and eventually a serviceman did come. He found that the fitting has "hand tightened" and that the installers had not finished the job allowing for a gas leak to have occurred since Nov. 13,2014 to April 2, 2015. More calls to Mr. [redacted] without a return call. On April 10, 2015 I sent a Certified Letter to Mr. [redacted] asking for what I thought was fair compensation and to call me by April 17, 2015.I HAVE NOT RECEIVED A CALL as of 4:35 P.M. today.Product_Or_Service: Heil Furnace Mod#[redacted]XXXXXXXDesired SettlementI have outlined in my letter to Mr. [redacted] that I feel a fair reimbursement for my excess electric usage would be $456.00. I did not request a compensation for my excess gas usage as some months were estimated by [redacted] Gas and I could determine a fair method to use. I further requested that my A/C system be completely inspected and tuned up and any repairs made as needed.Business Response To Whom It May Concern; On installation of furnace at the [redacted] Residence the installation went very professionally and smooth and was expressed by Mr. [redacted]. After completion of unit, the unit ran while he was in Florida. We found a staple in the existing wire (stated by my Technician to Mr. [redacted]) causing unit to run undetected because of the staple. Things happen, I have had and still have been dealing with family health issues. I apologize for not responding initially. I'm sure Mr. [redacted] and I can come to an agreement on compensation, I'm willing to compromise. I am very sorry for any inconvenience but our services were very responsive.I will be contacting Mr. [redacted] directly.Thank you,[redacted]Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)As of 10:24am today I have not heard from Mr. [redacted].I did hire [redacted] & [redacted] Co. to inspect the condition of my Air Conditioning system on 4-25-15. They determined that I needed to replace a Contactor and a Capacitor for which I paid $499.00. The serviceman from [redacted] also pointed out that water was accumulating at the base of the air intake pipe which was installed by Allied Heating and A/C. (The top of the new furnace was rusting.) I called Allied on Friday and they sent a serviceman today to fix the problem. (The clamps at the base of the pipe were not tightened. This as also the problem with the furnace connection to the gas line as mentioned in my original complaint.) The serviceman also fixed the CO2 unit which was dangling from wires overhead. The installers on this job appear not to have finished many steps in the installation process.I would still like to hear from Mr.[redacted] to resolve this matter.Final Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)Final Business Response We have resolved any issues with Mr [redacted].

Have notified office unhappy with recent installation, company is not responding despite numerous calls in attempt to resolve.Allied Heating & Air Conditioning recently installed a new furnace and central air conditioner unit in our homeThe install was on Sept & XX XXXX, and they have been paid in full ($8,225.00)A component of the install was to add required venting from the furnace through the exterior of the houseI was never presented any options for location of this venting, and I was a bit shocked and dismayed to see where they ended up placing the pipesThey put the pvc pipes right in the middle of the rear of the house, 5' from the ground and about 18" protruding out, creating an eyesore as well as a potential safety hazardOnce we realized the unappealing impact the pipes had to our backyard space I immediately contacted [redacted], the owner, and the next day the pipes were cut back - but that was only a partial solution and does not solve for the unappealing asthetic when in the back yardIn addition, the location will be a problem if/when I want to add a patio or deckI have contacted the office at least once, sometimes twice a week for the past 6+ weeks letting them know I am still unhappy and would like to speak to someone regarding what options we have at this pointEvery call is taken by [redacted], who tells me she'll give the message to [redacted], and that's where it ends [redacted] never callsAt this point I am beyond frustrated of being so blatantly ignored and am getting the impression the service stops after the sale is complete, even though the proposal states a year workmanship guarantee.Desired SettlementWe would like to have the venting moved to the side of the house, away from the main yard area.Business Response On finding out of the initial problem with Mr[redacted] I immediately discussed with installers and said they went through installation and penetration locations with ownner which we do with every jobIf fact they were protruding to far outside and immediately sent the installers out the very next dayHe did have a legitimate complaint on that, I personally talked with Mr [redacted] and told him that this was practice and that it would be difficult to moveI did also tell him I would look at it as soon as we slowed downWe have been working crazy hours to make sure everybody has heat (that's priority)If he is willing to absorb cost for relocation I will gladly move it even if it's possibleI apologize for my neglect of conversation but as said we have been very busy.Consumer Response For the record, I do not consider this complaint to be resolved as I have yet to receive a call despite my multiple requestsI never indicated I wanted an immediate resolution, in fact I have only been leaving messages that I would like to speak with [redacted] to discuss my optionsAt no time has anyone returned my calls, which is the basis of my complaint. Also, the response noted below is not entirely correct - I was shown a general area of penetration, but was given the impression it would only be feet from the ground in the same proximity as other vent materialAt no time did anyone tell me it would be approx5' high, nor was I given any other options for placementAnd since I never received a return call, I was never informed someone would be over to look at it after the busy season[redacted]Final Business Response As previously written, I did talk to Mr[redacted] not once but twice and told him what my men saidThat they went through the position of penetration through the wall with him initiallyIf possible and can be moved I would and still will at an added cost and Allied Heating will not be responsible for repairing initial openingsI am very sorry it came to this, Mr[redacted] is a very respectable manI hope we can come to a mutual agreementThank you, [redacted]
