Thank you for bringing this to our attention.  We respond to complaints individually because each case is different.  In this case, the home was appraised in line with the market value, but it did not appraise as high as the customer needed to be approved for a loan.  The appraiser...

did note the home was completely remodeled and that did play a part in the final value.  There is a lot of background work that is done to make sure we are considering all aspects of the value.  A lack of communication from our staff to our customer is not acceptable to us.  Please contact me directly and we will work out an accommodation for your appraisal fee as a small gesture of customer satisfaction.
