Thank you for bringing this to our attention We respond to complaints individually because each case is different In this case, the home was appraised in line with the market value, but it did not appraise as high as the customer needed to be approved for a loan The appraiser did note the home was completely remodeled and that did play a part in the final value There is a lot of background work that is done to make sure we are considering all aspects of the value A lack of communication from our staff to our customer is not acceptable to us Please contact me directly and we will work out an accommodation for your appraisal fee as a small gesture of customer satisfaction

Review: My husband and I applied for a 203K loan with Allied Mortgage, provided all of our income and was pre-qualified for over $155,000 to do repairs on our home. We had to hire a consultant for $900.00 and pay $550.00 for an appraisal totaling $1450.00. After we completed what we needed to do for final approval we were told that we only qualified for $63,000 which is less than half of what we were originally told and will not suffice to complete the work needed on our home. If we knew that we only qualified for $63,000 then we would not have moved forward with the process and put out unnecessary money. I do not appreciate the way that the information was screwed up and how it was communicated to my husband and I. This should have never happened to us or should it never happen again. The company needs to be responsible for errors like this!Desired Settlement: My husband and I want the $1450.00 returned that we put out for services that would have never been paid for if we knew up front that we did not qualify for the amount we needed to complete the renovations on our property.
