Review: Allied plumbing was hired by [redacted] to fix out tub. He claimed he could not fix it and flipped a breaker. When we tried the tub that night it flooded into our kitchen. My wife called him and he yelled and cussed and then hung up. He was blaming us and refused to do anything. I filed a complaint with [redacted] and now he is calling my wife yelling at her. I called him and asked him to stop calling my wife and he is telling me he will not stop. I am filing a complaint with the [redacted] tonight.Desired Settlement: I would like my $70 back for the payment to my warranty company. I was able to fix the water damage myself. I also need to be sure this guy will not be calling my wife anymore.

On 09/23/2013 we received a work order from [redacted] Home Protection for a Customer by the name of [redacted]. The work order contained one phone number and that number was [redacted] phone number. The work order was also in one name, that name was [redacted]. The work order stated she had a whirlpool tub that would not turn on. We went to the home of [redacted] on 09/26/2013 and found that the whirlpool tub had no power, further diagnosis found that the circuit breaker for the whirlpool tub was not turned on/tripped. There were no complaints of leaks, just a malfunction of a motor not operating properly. [redacted] did not make us aware of any leaking issues, just simply stated the motor would not turn on. We filled the tub with water, ran it for a few moments to verify that the tub was functioning, drained it and explained the issue to [redacted], and documented it on the paperwork, that she signed and we left. [redacted] was extremely rude to the technician that went to her residence because the repair was simple enough to take us all of 15 minutes to complete, and she felt her "Husband" Could have figured it out. The technician was polite and kept his composure regardless of [redacted] rudeness.

Several days later [redacted] contacted our office and again being very rude and inappropriate demanded us to return to her home because she flooded her bathroom while trying to use her whirlpool tub, more than likely from user error. We explained to her that per her home warranty, if she has another issue completely unrelated, to the original issue, she would have to contact her home warranty to place another claim. She began to be belligerent and irate demanding service, and we again advised her to contact her home warranty company to place another claim, and she hung up on us.

on November 13th, 2013 we received a letter from [redacted] stating [redacted] attempted to place a damage claim on our Business for her flooding her own bathroom. I contacted [redacted] and they confirmed the work we performed could not have caused the damage, by doing something so simple as turning a breaker on. They also verified that a leaking issue was not what was called in as a claim. I then contacted the only number listed on the work order which was [redacted] phone number, and I attempted to explain this issue to her and make her aware of the consequences for filing false claims for user error. I also tried to explain to her that she can not find fault in us for an item that was not the original issue. She was not yelled at, she raised her voice to us and simply said, I have no idea what you are talking about maybe my husband called, and she hung up the phone.

An hour later we received a phone call from [redacted] who threatened our office staff stating, " if you call my wife again, you will hear from and see me" we told him several times do not call our Business making demands, we will run our Business as we see fit to resolve such issues, and he again threatened us. We have yet to receive a call from Henrico County as he stated but we are in the process of filing criminal charges with [redacted] Department for the threats [redacted] made, and also for harassment, for he is not on the policy for the Company we serviced [redacted] for. We will aslo be filing suit with our Business Attorney for defamation of character, false accusations and false Insurance claims of property damage by [redacted] and [redacted]. Just by simply turning on a breaker to a whirlpool tub that could have easily been done by [redacted], filling it up and draining it, in no way shape or form will cause a leak or a flood. Our Office was instructed to not contact either one for further communication will be handled via our attorney, and [redacted].

As far as a $70.00 refund, the job was completed correctly through the standards of the warranty company who contracted us to go to the home and Diagnose the issue. That is a deductible they are to pay every time a service techncian comes to their home. Even if it is as simple as flipping on a breaker

Review: Allied Plumbing was called due to water leaking through my ceiling from the upstairs toilet. The flange was repaired and the toilet was reset on 10-10-2012. Water from the toilet began leaking through the ceiling again on September 16, 2013. I called Allied Plumbing back to come check on the repair. The man who came said that if he pulled up the toilet, I would be charged a service call of at least $85 no matter what he found. He said that he had no idea why it was leaking or what he might possibly find, but it was not the same issue as before. Due to his attitude and not feeling confident that he knew what he was doing and also the fact that he said I would be charged no matter what, I asked him to leave. I called another company that came out on September 22 to do the repair. They discovered that the flange was below floor level and the wax ring that had been used was not high enough. It had not been squished at all. Therefore, it was enough to hold for a short time, but not a long time fix. I called Allied to report this finding and was told that his warranty is 30 days. I tried to explain that the repair was not done correctly. He waffled back and forth between saying that his company had not been given the opportunity to correct the repair(I explained that his plumber told me there would be a charge regardless of the finding) and saying that the repair would not hold for 10 months and then cause the same problem. He was rude and tried to threaten me during the course of the conversation.Desired Settlement: At minimum, I would like a refund of the $125 I paid for the repair since it was not done correctly and I now had to have it redone. I also think the cost of repairing the ceiling again should be covered as if the repair had been done correctly, that would not need to be done.

Re:

[redacted] received service on 10-10-2012 which we replaced her toilet flange and reset her toilet. Nearly one year later [redacted] contacts us regarding her toilet stating she is experiencing issues with the same toilet. We advised [redacted] over the phone that this repair is well past the warranty, and she would be charged accordingly. She made the appointment and we returned to her home on 09/18/2013. [redacted] was then reminded by the technician there will be a charge for the service call before he began work and that is when [redacted] began to be argumentative and rude to the technician demanding to know why the toilet is still leaking. The Technician did notice the toilet would twist left to right because of loose toilet bolts. These bolts become loose over time when children abuse the toilet by standing on them, rocking back and forth and misusing the toilet fixture. The technician explained this to [redacted] and she stated she is ALWAYS in the bathroom when her children are using it. Again, the technician,as well as the office explained to her when she made the appointment that in order to see why the toilet was leaking, we would need to pull the toilet and investigate and she will be charged a reduced rate of $[redacted] as a courtesy. She would not allow the technician to investigate and was repeating the same question over and over again, raising her voice and becoming extremely belligerent. My technician feeling very uncomfortable and threatened, asked her to call the office and excused himself from her home.

[redacted] (on a recorded line) then called the office demanding a refund or she would slander this business on every website that she can find, if we did not give her a $120.00 refund. We have a signed invoice by [redacted] from the original service call that states we have a 30 day warranty on all work performed. If this repair was improper the toilet would have leaked right away. She made the decision to not allow us to investigate/ repair the item, she made the decision to allow the toilet to leak so long to cause property damage, and she made the decision to call another Plumber.

These are the facts of the matter, we have a 30 day warranty on all work performed and we do give a 90 day courtesy extension and even longer on a case by case basis because we do stand by our work. We did not "waffle back and forth" with any decision we made, we made our decision and stand by it. We went out there to service her toilet which was out of warranty and she declined the service. From what little we did see of the toilet was the bolts were loose and my Technician was able to twist the toilet left to right. When we originally installed the toilet in 2012, those bolts were tight and secure.

We try to make every Customer Happy when they are not, and we have thousands of happy Customers. Once a Customer begins to try to use illegal means of blackmail to gain what they seek in their favor, that is where we draw the line, pass the information to our Business Attorney and he takes the matters from there and we continue to service our community.

We will not refund her any part of her Service/repair fee from a year ago, and we will not be threatened or blackmailed by ANYONE!

We WILL NOT tolerate illegal acts of Blackmail, and or bartering for our "online" reputation.
