John B[redacted] with Allied Tree Solutions is a thief. He took over $500 from me and never delivered the trees.
He was hired to take down trees at neighbors. In doing so he destroyed our dog kennel and refuses to replace it.In Oct 2013 [redacted]/Allied Tree Service was hired to take down trees along our neighbors yard. In doing so he dropped a large limb on our dog kennel. He said he had insurance but had a high deductible and didn't want to use it. He told my husband he would find a used kennel to replace ours. In February he still did not replace the kennel at which time I called him asking him to do so.At one point he came to our house and dropped off a kennel, still in the box and not the same size or quality. It still sits in our driveway. (I want this removed.)I sent a demand letter, certified. along w/ an estimate for replacement by the fence company that originally installed it. He responded saying he would fine a suitable substitute. He did not comply. I sent another demand letter informing him I wanted in in place by May 1. This letter too was certified. It came back to me not accepted by recipient.Desired SettlementI want him to replace the kennel with a like product. Ours was purchased from Security Fence Company and measured 10' x 10' x 6'.Business Response Allied Tree Service made an immediate attempt to rectify the problem of the damaged kennel by volunteering to replace the kennel, to which the complainant preferred an unreasonable monetary compensation in place of a new kennel. Given the prior condition and location of the kennel, that of which was in the woods and had trees growing through it, it was obvious that this was not a kennel that was being used and not worth the amount the complainant had requested. Allied Tree Service purchased and delivered a replacement kennel that was refused by the complainant due to the size. The complainant is still in possession of this kennel. Immediately after delivering the kennel, the complainant made several repetitive phone calls threatening to pursue legal action and demanding a check for their interpreted value of the kennel. After receiving a certified letter from the complainant, Allied Tree Service responded with a certified letter stating we would replace the kennel with the correct size from Tractor Supply. Before purchasing the second kennel, Allied Tree Service wanted written confirmation that this would appease the customer, to which we did not receive a response. Allied Tree Service is still more than willing to purchase the correct size kennel from Tractor Supply Co. located in Southwick. Although Allied Tree Service feels as though the complainant has been unreasonable in finding a solution, we do apologize for the inconvenience and look forward to resolving the issue. Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)A return certified letter was sent to Allied Tree Service and was returned to sender: he never picked it up.He has attempted no further contact with us.
