The customer's first claim was dated by him on October and received in this office on October A claims adjuster has been assigned and they will contact him shortly to begin the claims process

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below My purchase with Sun Transmission is within the warranty period of the two years and the 24,milesJerry refused to fix my vehicle so I had it removed and sent to another shopThe owner of that shop along with another certified transmission shop have evaluated the transmission and both state there was not enough gear oil put in the transmission at the time of install and there is no leaks to the unit itselfThe pictures Sun transmission provided are that of leaking engine oil and the wreck to the truck was at low speed again both mechanic shop state a low speed crash will not and could not cause a leak to the transmission gear shaft Regards, [redacted]

I stand ready, willing and able to handle this problem if Mr [redacted] will contact me

I am surprised that such a large company is not managed well So much responsibility is given to the driver We found out during our move that the driver recruits and pays every crew personThe driver told us that all the help goes through Allied training and has been background checkedThe driver pays the crew cash at the end of the day- Red Flag # We had a crew of helpers in COThey were amazingI was very pleased with their kindness, politeness, and care they took with our stuffEverything was padded very wellThey worked quikcly and very diligentlyOur driver was a real neat guyHe was fun, kind and honest Upon delivery in San Antonio, we only had a one person crew The temp was at least degrees in the afternoonCan you imagine how hard this kid worked? He was an amazing, upbeat worker I just felt terrible that he was doing it all my himself- in the TX heat of July At 1:one of the kid's friends came to help himWe did end up having people from 1:30- Apparantly, the new helper's mother was a contractworker for AlliedThis new kid worked for a competing moving companyThis new helper was not an Allied employee- But this kid needed help so we did not say anything Both crew members were very helpful and set up my furntiture just how I wanted itEven after changing my mind a couple times However the parts to our son's bed were missing We have a bed in pieces in my son's room I am appaled that Allied could not help our driver find movers It seems like he should have assistance with hiring a professional crew of workersAnd that they should be getting an actual paycheck with taxes taken out? Perhaps they do but there was alot of cash being handled

In regards to the complaint submitted by Ms [redacted] , I have included photos of the truck as well showing that there has been fluid not only leaking under the truck (motor oil, etc) but also the front of the truck where the bumper would attachI point this out as we have quite a bit of difference in the appearance of the vehicle from the 1st time until this time, which one would suspect that the vehicle was in an accident of some type though unable to confirmAt no time did the customer purchase a “new” transmissionThe manual transmission in her Chevrolet Truck was rebuilt. This vehicle has has 18,miles put on it between it being rebuilt and when it came inDuring this time frame, the vehicle was never brought back to us for any maintenanceWe suggest to ALL customers that they return to us once a year or every 15-20,miles to have their transmission servicedEven if it does not have a full service done on the vehicle, it allows us to inspect the transmission for any possible problems that may ariseThis truck was inspected on 4/and found to have very little oil (in talking to the tech that pulled the drain plug to check the oil, he found less than approximately quart of oil came out of the vehicle)Which after taking photos this AM to turn in with our response to this complaint, the transmission never leaked itselfThe fluid loss was due to the drive shaft yolk seal failingSomething unrelated to the full rebuild on this truckWe did not moved forward with any internal inspection to determine if any bearings or gears were damaged due to the fluid loss, as Ms [redacted] was called on 4/to give her the information on the low oil and that this was failure to maintain the transmission, however her voice mail box was fullthis was at 10:AM on the 15th)Mr [redacted] came by to see the status of the vehicle on Friday the 17th in the afternoon and at this time [redacted] informed him of our findingsMr [redacted] called Ms [redacted] to relay the message to herShe demanded Mr [redacted] take the key with him and leave, to which our Manager (***) told Mr [redacted] that he was welcome to take the key only if he was removing the truck from our shop.We strive to make our customers happyWe have even go so far as to extend coverage beyond the yr/24,mile (which our standard coverage for a manual transmission is only year or 12,miles but due to the customer being a [redacted] member, was given an additional year or 12,miles PLUS a $discount)However when a transmission fails due to proper maintenance and inspection, it is in no way our responsibility to warranty out a transmission that has failed.Ms [redacted] had [redacted] remove her vehicle from Sun Transmission today (4/20/15) at approximately 1:in the afternoon

We are very sorry for the delay in the customer's shipment The customer originally told us that they were staying in their apartment, but had no furnishingsThey were offered $to either make purchases or rent furnitureWe cannot discount their charges - as a federally-regulated carrier we are required by law to collect all charges due If the customer does not wish to make purchases or rent furniture, we can have them file a delay claim for a flat $500.00, which we will apply to the total charges due If the customer wishes to take that option, we ask that they file their claim with us as quickly as possible so that we may advise all parties that we are applying the delay compensation to their total charges

We are very sorry for the delay in delivery of the customer's items. Operations is exploring all potential transportation solutions in an effort to get the delivery completed as quickly as possible. The customer has been offered $50/day since she is staying with relatives. She has
also been offered the option to move into her own residence and we would reimburse for the cost of furniture rental until her items deliver. Customer is requesting $50000, but her furnishings are not lost so a payout on value would not be done. Also total valuation on furnishings declared by customer on their paperwork is $35000. Operations continues to work to find transportation. Customer has discussed cancelling the move which is their option; they will be responsible for any changes incurred up to this point

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below
Unfortunately, many items in the response are not accurate or the business has not provided complete informationI was offered $per day by a customer service representative in their corporate office, but was also advised that there is a time cap, which means it is not unlimitedAllied Van Lines still has not provided a date as to when my items will be received which means I can't file a claim until a date has been provided to me in writingAlso, there is a cap on the time I'm able to receive the compensationIn other words, they could have my items for months and only pay $per day for weeksIt is untrue that I was offered compensation for furniture rentalThe supervisor in Allied's corporate office offered dollars per day in lost rentI have been paying rent in an apartment which I can't live in because I do not have my itemsThis was not in addition to the $per day the customer service rep offeredEach person was offering per dayI will go out today and pick out a bedroom furniture and housewares package that they can certainly pay the monthly rent on but I don't know anywhere you can do that for $per dayWe will not be cancelling the move since we are not sure of the condition of my items since they have been sitting in a warehouse in extreme weather conditionsThey will be accepting liability if any of the items are damagedI do find it ironic that we were able to find a trucking company on a holiday weekend willing to bring my items out, but as I stated, we will not be releasing them of liabilityThe reason we are given that they can't deliver my items is that they do not have drivers or trucks availableI was also told by their corporate office today that they will not just take her items but needs multiple moves going this way since they do not want to waste a truck on one person's moveThis excuse was given to my daughter this morning from the office of the President of Allied Van LinesWe have gotten no where in weeks and get the same excuse every time we call or emailLastly, we do not know if her items were lostWe've recently asked them to provide a picture to be sure they still had them and they will not provide oneWe will accept the 35,payout since they can't prove they even still have my items.

In response to the complaint filedagainst us by a Ms *** ***, we have never had any dealings withMs ***, though we did have a Discovery brought into the shop by *** *** of the same address.Mr *** contacted us to have a newTransfer case (AWD Unit) installed in “his” Discovery aftersomeone
drove the vehicle to the point that the drive shaft was inmultiple pieces and transfer case locked upThe owner of SunTransmission (*** ***) personally went to tow the vehicle in tothe shop after Mr *** had been given a quote for the Transfer caseto be installed (around $1000) before the drive shaft cost was known, and was informed by *** (the Manager of Sun Transmission) that thedrive shaft had already been removed by the customer(No mention ofthe drive shaft being broke was mentioned prior to *** leaving thecustomer's home with the vehicle)When *** hooked up the truck, the customer had informed *** that the transfer case was locked upAt no time did the customer mention that they wish to have usinspect the transmission for possible issues related to the damagethat may have occurred when the transfer case locked up and the driveshaft brokeIn fact when *** arrived at the customer's home, thebattery on the Discovery was dead and he couldn't even put it inneutral to move it from the residence, and a screw driver had to beused in place of a keyThe price that Mr *** was quoted(there about $1400) has nothing to do with the transmission housingbeing crackedThis amount of money covered the cost of transfercase, labor to install the transfer case, tax and drive shaft (withus actually not charging for appropriate amount of fluid for thetransfer case nor the tow from from the customer's home to SunTransmission and due to the fact that the transfer case would benon-returnable, we did advise the customer we would need a deposit, which he brought in $cashMr *** had informed *** that hewas under a budget and as such, *** would have to resort to findinga used unit in good shape rather than rebuilding his unit in ourshop, or finding a rebuilt unit.Until we put the Discovery up on therack to install the transfer case and drive shaft, we had no way ofknowing that the transmission had been cracked due to the customercontinuting to drive the Discovery when it was brokeAs thecustomer was the one to remove the drive shaft and not SunTransmission, any damage to the case should have been seen by thecustomerIt was only due to our Tech cleaning the rear half of thetransmission so that there would be a good clean seal when thereplacement transfer case was installed, that our tech was even ableto see that the transmission case was crackedUpon finding thisproblem, he immediately reported to *** with his findings and thecustomer was promptly called, not only to inform them of the problem, but to request permission to proceed with pulling the transmission tohave it further inspected and if all was well other than the case, sending the case off to be machined and weldedSun Transmission always has the bestinterest of the customer in mindWe go above and beyond to makesure that work performed in our shop is not only work we are proudof, but that we keep our pricing as affordable as possible for thecustomer while still making a profit to run our shop and cover ourexpensesT-case - $600Labor - $400Tax - $78.98Drive Line - $375Full Synthetic 75/Gear Oil - $(no charge)Tow from Customer's home - $(no charge)Grand Total $

Thank you for your patience while we check on this customer’s concernsIt is never our intention to split the delivery on an interstate move Because Allied Van Lines is a consolidated moving company, there are times when the previously loaded shipment goes over in size and due to
space limitations, the driver is not able to load the final shipment in its entiretyI apologize for any inconvenience we may have caused Ms*** or her parentsAs a gesture of goodwill, I am sending Ms*** a check in the amount of $100. Please extend our apologiesSincerely, Cindy Allied Van Lines

We have responded to several complaints from the customer that were sent by the Indiana Revdex.com. Their shipment has delivered and the payment for the delay claim has been requested. We are very sorry for the concerns and inconvenience experienced by the customer

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
My purchase with Sun Transmission is within the warranty period of the two years and the 24,000 miles. Jerry refused to fix my vehicle so I had it removed and sent to another shop. The owner of that shop along with another certified transmission shop have evaluated the transmission and both state there was not enough gear oil put in the transmission at the time of install and there is no leaks to the unit itself. The pictures Sun transmission provided are that of leaking engine oil and the wreck to the truck was at low speed again both mechanic shop state a low speed crash will not and could not cause a leak to the transmission gear shaft.
Regards,
[redacted]

We are very sorry for the delay in the customer's shipment.  The customer originally told us that they were staying in their apartment, but had no furnishings. They were offered $600.00 to either make purchases or rent furniture. We cannot discount their charges - as a federally-regulated...

carrier we are required by law to collect all charges due.  If the customer does not wish to make purchases or rent furniture, we can have them file a delay claim for a flat $500.00, which we will apply to the total charges due.  If the customer wishes to take that option, we ask that they file their claim with us as quickly as possible so that we may advise all parties that we are applying the delay compensation to their total charges.

The customer's first claim was dated by him on October 9 and received in this office on October 20.  A claims adjuster has been assigned and they will contact him shortly to begin the claims process.

In regards to the complaint submitted by Ms [redacted], I have included photos of the truck as well showing that there has been fluid not only leaking under the truck (motor oil, etc) but also the front of the truck where the bumper would attach. I point this out as we have quite...

a bit of difference in the appearance of the vehicle from the 1st time until this time, which one would suspect that the vehicle was in an accident of some type though unable to confirm. At no time did the customer purchase a “new” transmission. The manual transmission in her Chevrolet Truck was rebuilt. This vehicle has has 18,403 miles put on it between it being rebuilt and when it came in. During this time frame, the vehicle was never brought back to us for any maintenance. We suggest to ALL customers that they return to us once a year or every 15-20,000 miles to have their transmission serviced. Even if it does not have a full service done on the vehicle, it allows us to inspect the transmission for any possible problems that may arise. This truck was inspected on 4/14 and found to have very little oil (in talking to the tech that pulled the drain plug to check the oil, he found less than approximately 1 quart of oil came out of the vehicle). Which after taking photos this AM to turn in with our response to this complaint, the transmission never leaked itself. The fluid loss was due to the drive shaft yolk seal failing. Something unrelated to the full rebuild on this truck. We did not moved forward with any internal inspection to determine if any bearings or gears were damaged due to the fluid loss, as Ms [redacted] was called on 4/15 to give her the information on the low oil and that this was failure to maintain the transmission, however her voice mail box was full... this was at 10:11 AM on the 15th). Mr [redacted] came by to see the status of the vehicle on Friday the 17th in the afternoon and at this time [redacted] informed him of our findings. Mr [redacted] called Ms [redacted] to relay the message to her. She demanded Mr [redacted] take the key with him and leave, to which our Manager ([redacted]) told Mr [redacted] that he was welcome to take the key only if he was removing the truck from our shop.We strive to make our customers happy. We have even go so far as to extend coverage beyond the 2 yr/24,000 mile (which our standard coverage for a manual transmission is only 1 year or 12,000 miles but due to the customer being a [redacted] member, was given an additional year or 12,000 miles PLUS a $94.39 discount). However when a transmission fails due to proper maintenance and inspection, it is in no way our responsibility to warranty out a transmission that has failed.Ms [redacted] had [redacted] remove her vehicle from Sun Transmission today (4/20/15) at approximately 1:15 in the afternoon.

I stand ready, willing and able to handle this problem if Mr. [redacted] will contact me.
