[redacted] brought his boat in on 11-15-for a pre buy inspection.I told [redacted] that we dont have customers hang around & watch because of insurance reasons & distractions from customers asking to many questions.I asked him if he would like to go get a cup of coffee or a bite to eat, it would be approximitely 1-hours, Then we will answer all his questions.We ran the engine for mins, hard starting & the engine smoked a little upon startup, then we did a compression check & began our pre buy inspection- (see sheet attached)I left for a parts run, when I came back [redacted] hunched over the boat asking my Technician lots of questions and kept saying hurry up, I need to make it to the bank no later than 6pm (We close at 5:30)He dropped his boat off after 4pm.He wouldnt let me run the engine after compression check, kept rushing us to get done so he could make it to the bankI would have found the crossed wires when we restarted the engine if he had let me finish the pre buy inspection he paid for, but he was in too big of a hurry.Thats why I dont let customers hang around like I told himHis boat was parked down the road at the local Orielys for 2-3days, he could have stopped by before going back to Oregon to atleast allow us to double check our work.Then he left, bought the boat, he said he took it to the lake and it wouldnt start up and run.I worked on it last, he could have called me and asked why it wouldnt run & I could have fixed it over the phone.He called a mobile repair company & he swapped two wires & it ran.Im sorry he had problems with the boat but if he had listend to my request & followed them & gave us the proper time this wouldnt have happened
Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because:The guy is clearly admitted his fault and yet he is trying to keep blame on me for his unprofessional tech.? I believe that he owes me what I paid my local tech to rectify his error.? Sincerely, [redacted]
