I'm a 63 yo female that lives alone and depends on rollator walker to walk, cook, just about everything. I Brought in my mobility walker which I had paid $120.00 for 8 months ago to have a wheel that was backing out and coming loose repaired. Waited 35 minutes & charged 32.39 (6/17)to tighten with a wrench. They didn't put locktite or anything on it. Then at home while using walker a few weeks later (7-6) wheel fell completely off. (it didn't even do that before they repaired) When I called so I could bring in (20 miles 1 way) to repair correctly thinking would be cheap or no charge was I told that I couldn't bring in. They said because of COVID '?. Instead I would have to pay $85 and they'd come to me. (85+32.29=117.29) TOO TIGHTEN A WHEEL AND APPLY LOCKTITE. I even offered to wait in my vehicle wear mask and they said NO. And to make worse I have fractured back, and I sit on rollator & had I been sitting on it when wheel came off could of really been bad. And they take no responsibility for their poor service. It's one thing to not do right first time but please...Obviously wheel is working it's way off or wouldn't of brought in to begin with, and it needed other then a wrench tightening. And just because it stayed tight for maybe 2 weeks they feel they did their job correctly. PLEASE... So I decided to leave a review to warn others of their lack of integrity regarding their work and before I left my review noticed lot n lots of negative left my review and they deleted in addition to the other negative reviews.

Desired Outcome

Refund I would like a refund. Because after getting upset when told had to pay $85 to fixed they (THE OWNER) to take elsewhere to get fixed. Because I calked back a second time to ask for manager or owner and was told I've been speaking to him on both calls.

On June 16, 2020, *** came into our business to have her Drive HD Rollator repaired. The walker was in disrepair and we urged her to replace the rollator instead of repairing. She refused and insisted on it being repaired. We replaced a bearing in caster, adjusted her brakes and placed on caster wheel that was off when she brought it in. The process took 30 minutes and customer was billed 30.04 plus tax totaling 32.29. customer paid her bill and signed off on the service ticket that her equipment is in good condition, normal working order. *** called us on July 3, 2020 and stated a wheel came off again and asked to come in to have it looked at it. The City of Dayton mask mandate for COVID took effect at 8 am. the same morning. I made a decision not to allow customers at our workplace until I had the opportunity to discover what the mask order meant for my business and employees. I explained this to *** and offered her an in home service call. She asked me what that normal rate is; I told her 85.00 but because of the circumstance, I was willing to send a technician at the same cost of coming in. She demanded we come out for free. I explained to her that she has been using her rollator for several weeks so, it would be a charge for additional service. *** became very upset and demanded I do everything for Free. Once she began screaming into the phone, I hung up to discontinue the call.
