Allora Salon & Spa Reviews (2)

*** *** walked out of Allora Salon and Spa on Friday March 31st happily after receiving her hair services with Katrina, one of our premier stylistsShe was booked for a Women's Hair Cut and ended up choosing to receive a highlight and hair cut serviceShe was not forced to obtain the services
she receivedShe was given a complete breakdown of what her services would cost and based on the consultation they mutually agreed to do baby lights and a haircutA before and after photo was taken (which is provided) there are clearly highlights in the guests hair in the after photoThe client then called a day later, not saying she was unhappy with her hair, but that she wanted more, chunkier highlights after her husband did not notice her hairA quote was not given over the phone, she was not told this service would not cost anything but that she was to come in Sunday to have an additional consultation with Katrina to see what the next steps would be to obtain more chunky highlightsThere was a cancellation in her stylists schedule and the front-end coordinator gave her a courtesy call to let her know if she wanted to come in earlier that day she was more then welcome too*** walked in and had a consultation with KatrinaKatrina was instructed by her manager that if *** wanted additional services, she was to be charged an "a l a carte" pricingWhich is a lesser cost then full service pricingThat "a l a carte" pricing would have come to an additional $40, as opposed to $*** refusedThe front-end coordinator then called the manager- to let her know *** refused and she would not pay any more money for the additional requested servicesThe manager agreed to split the "a l a Carte" pricing with ***Which would be $on ***'s end and $on the business*** refused and said she was not leaving the business until the manager spoke with herWhile the manager drove out to the salon on her day off- *** approached several of our existing clients in the salon telling them "Don't come to this place they don't care about their customers." When the manager arrived, she listened to ***'s complaints and said we would still like to split the services with her because she wanted MORE highlightsThat this charge would cover product usage and our stylist's time to provide an additional service*** called her husband in and he sat there staring at the manager, while *** shouted that she now had "*** hair", and "in all of my days of getting re-dos at salons I never had to pay" and she stated that she "works in a very public place and would not recommend this salon to anyone." The manager apologized that she felt this way and again offered a solution to her request*** turned down our offer to split it with her and *** existed, askingthe manager if anyone had ever taught her that the customer is always right and exclaiming that the manager didn't care about her hair***'s husband sat around for a few minutes while his wife got into her carWe do not feel that a refund is appropriate in this instanceWe charged her for the original 2-hour highlight and haircutting services that she had rendered on March 31st, There was no fault in the services we rendered and if the client would now like additional services it will be at full pricePlease contact me if you have any further questions or concernsMegan S- Salon & Spa Director/ Manager

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
I was never explained what so-called "baby" highlights really are.  I have had highlights over the many years of coloring my hair, and have never heard of them.  I have very short hair, and to pay $100, plus a $15 tip (which I thought was more than generous in this case), is outrageous.  When I did call the salon and explained to them that I wanted "more" highlights, not necessarily "chunky", and I asked if there would be charge for them, I was told "No there would not be".  I have gone to other salons where the highlighting was not done to my satisfaction, and ALWAYS had my hair redone at no cost.  Yes, I was upset, because they still wanted to charge me more money on top of the $100 I already paid!  My husband did not notice (and he left when I did) and they also spoke to my daughter (on my phone) and she explained to them that she did not notice any highlighting.  As a matter of fact, my daughter had a hair coloring done at a different salon and her hair is much longer than mine, and she paid $110.  I guess I should have gone there!   In fact, I even bought two smaller sized hair products from the salon which brought my total bill to $136.  I think that I sufficiently spent enough money there.
