After working on it for over an hour I remounted the wheel, accepted payment and left. 
The next day he called me back w/ a stern voice saying: "WHY IS MY CAR NOT FIXED?" Of course my reply was 'because I wasn't able to fix it correctly, because I didnt take the tire off.
A long story somewhat short he was upset and I gave him his money back and his air guage. Please clear us of this situation that hurts me to even think about.
