resolve complaints from customers that might arise. AllPro Home Improvement has been in Fairmont since 1963 and has over 40,000 satisfied customers. I am the third owner of the firm, having purchased it in 2013. One of the reasons I was interested in AllPro was the satisfied customers that I talked to. Before the purchase, I spoke to hundreds of former customers — going back as far as 25 and 35 years. Why is this important, you might ask? It is important because I believe my reputation is my most valuable asset and I feel that the reputation of AllPro is an extension of my own. I needed to make sure that this was a good company before I made the purchase, and I believe that it is. So I take every complaint very personally and have directed any and all complaints to be sent my way (I work full time at FSU and depend on the great staff at AllPro to handle the day to day operations — as they did for the previous owner). So, I am saddened to hear of your dissatisfaction with us and I regret that I had not received your letter before this time. But, in the three years I've been with AllPro, this is the first Revdex.com complaint that we have had, and [redacted]l cannot recall another one ever. I have reviewed the details of your work order and discussed it with the staff. I believe there are several issues to address: - Poor communication regarding the more significant issues found with the rotten fascia/rafter tails Dissatisfaction with the price for the actual work performed The question of what problem do you still have and what to do to fix it Regarding the poor communication, I spoke with [redacted] who did the initial work on 2/29/2016. He reports that he did speak with you regarding the additional damage he found, and I believe him. [redacted] has always been very trustworthy and I have no reason to doubt him. There is still a problem though, because the true extent of the problem wasn't made clear to you so that you could act upon it. He should have taken pictures and halted the work until you had a chance to see them and discuss the additional work needing done. This is what we strive to do. It is the right thing for you, the customer, and it also gives us the opportunity to perform additional work and keep our guys busy.
Regarding your dissatisfaction with the price you paid for the work you received. I agree with you that this was too much money for what was done. I do want to point out that the guys also cleaned out the existing gutter and report that it was full of goop — rotten leaves, etc. This was not a pleasant task, but one we do as part of normal gutter work. We will offer you a partial refund of $350, but I hope you will consider the proposal below.
Regarding the remaining problem. I want us to look at it together and figure out an agreeable way to get it fixed for you. If you will accept my apology for the problems you have experienced, and agree to meet with me to look at the problem, I will discount the needed repairs to the actual cost and then give you a full credit for the $500 you have already paid against this amount.
