I rented a property and paid a deposit and pet fee. I went to great lengths to take care of the property and leave it in exceptional condition. Upon exit, I was charged an uncompetitive carpet cleaning fee (that should have come out of the pet fee), light bulbs (which worked when I left), and other vague, unreasonable expenses. Including the pet fee, the company claimed it took $400+ to clean up after me. They legally have 60 days to provide your deposit back and they made every effort to take as many of those days as possible (56 days). I submitted a letter to their office to reconsider and I have received no response.
