Allscape Landscaping

On April 29th 2015 I met with [redacted] of Allscape Landscaping at my home. We discussed having him landscape my whole front and back yard. We met again on May 20th 2015. Which at that time I had mentioned that before I have him do my yard I would like to see it on paper, have a plan made up. He suggested using [redacted] He said he had worked with this woman?s plans many times and she did an excellent job. So I called and set up an appointment with her. We met on May 27th 2015. I met with her a few more times and she did my plan. She printed me off 2 sets of the plan and I gave one to [redacted] of Allscape Landscaping, I also printed out letter size pictures on photo paper so that he could see all the main areas of the yard and what they were to look like. He told me there was no problem everything that was on the plan was not a problem for him to do. Allscape started working for me on August 26th2015. They started on my front yard, and I did change a few things on the plan, nothing major, like I added an extra row of stones so the bed wall would be higher. Which [redacted] said it was an easy fix but would cost more money and I had no problem with that. We ended up making a few other changes which he also said we easy fixes but would cost more and I agreed. Before he laid my grass in the front yard, I had asked them to make sure all the quack grass was dug out first so it wouldn?t be growing in to the grass. After they laid the grass and it started to grow it was full of quack grass. So at that time I told him I would like it removed and the roots of the quack grass dug out and then new grass laid. He then must have told one of his guys to cut the grass so that it looked like they had done it. I came home that day and went out to have a look, and they hadn?t lifted the grass at all, had just cut it so it looked like the quack grass was gone. I asked him about it and he didn?t really answer me but in the end agreed that they would redo it in the spring. [redacted]. It seemed whenever I had a problem with something they were doing wrong and I brought it up he would always say, well if it were me this is how I would do it, or he would make a big deal and say how much work it would be to change. This happened when I asked if they could wire the sprinkler system inside the garage. He made it seem like such a big deal to do this, which was why I hired them in the first place to do what I couldn?t do by myself. Then I asked him to wire it and install the control on the outside of the wall of my house. He also complained saying how much extra work it would be. In the end I finally insisted saying that I didn?t want to have to open the box in the ground every time I wanted to use the control. So they did it. Then I had asked them to move the box in the ground because they put it right where they put the weeping tile for the down spout eavestroph and it was in the way I can?t get the lid off and on, the weeping tile is in the way. They never did move it. [redacted]. Some of the sprinkler lines were and are sticking out of the ground in my flower beds, which he told me he have fixed and didn?t. Then another big problem is the south back corner of my yard. They were supposed to build a large 3 tiered flower bed off of my patio. When [redacted] and I discussed it he said that the 3 tiered planted looked a bit large, so we decided to make it approx.1ft. less wide. Which never did get made into tears. When I came out to look at how they were doing, they had built this large round circle. When I asked [redacted] where on the plan do you see this round circle. It was an at least 4 ft. solid wall built in a circle. No tiers at all. When I asked him to redo it, he started complaining about all the work and time it would take to take it apart and redo. [redacted] it didn?t get changed. [redacted] he brought a half ton full of shrubs that I had chosen for them to plant. When I went out to see them and make sure they were what I ordered. Most of them were all wrong. When I talked to him and told him they weren't what I ordered, he told me that they sure were. I had given him a list, he said they are exactly what was written on your list. I told him they weren?t. [redacted] He said well they are the sister plants to the ones you had on your list. I said no they aren?t some of them weren?t even of the same family. [redacted]. I told him I had spent 3 nights up until 2 am researching all the shrubs because I wanted ones that only grew so high so I don?t have to trim them, I have a bad shoulder, and also some that flowered certain colors. [redacted] They were also to install some latus on the side of my stairs, and didn?t because it was so late in the season they didn?t have the right color. That was also included in the price that they gave me. I am hoping he will return and install it. There was also the problem with putting joined boards along the fence to hold the rocks that they put along the fence. In the beginning I mentioned them being put in he said oh the rocks are large they won?t fall out, and as soon as they were put in they were all falling through on the other side of my fence. So I then asked them to remove the rocks and put some boards in and to make sure they were attached to each other with a piece of steel and then screwed together so they couldn?t come apart. Well they put them in but they are all crooked and not attached properly. Also one of the flowerDesired SettlementI would like Allscape to come back and redo the 3 tiered flower bed and fix all the things that still need to be fixed or redone.
