To Whom it May Concern, Re: Complaint#*** Allstate Electric, Increceived a call from *** *** on Jan 27, 2016, to repair his bathroom switch. Upon arrival I (***) tested the switch to figure out which function was not working. The switch had the ability to turn
different items on or off. I removed the switch and informed *** *** that it was not a switch and I would have to take it to the supply house to get it matched exactlyI left *** *** home and went to four different supply houses in search of this particular switch. All of the supply houses informed me they didn't have it on the shelve, it was a special order function switch that came with the fan when it was originally installed. We were told that it would take to weeks to get it in. I, ***, received a call from *** *** and explained the situation and that I was on my way back. I was going to install a function switch until the correct switch came in. When I arrived he was clearly upset and I did not know why. I tried to install the function switch so he could run his fan and light in his bathroom. He refused. An 1/hours into this job *** asked me how much it was going to cost to complete the repair. *** also said he had to be somewhere at 4:00pm and he would give me a call the next day so I could finish. *** offered to pay for my time and I told him we would take care of that as soon as the job was completed. I called *** the next day - no answer. I called the next day - no answer. I sent my time into the billing department at Allstate Electric, Incto be invoicedAs I stated above. None of the supply houses in Boise stock the function switch, it is a special order item. *** called Same Day Electric to do the same service we did. Had he allowed me to install the function switch our bill would have been the sameIf *** *** wanted an estimate he should have asked that when he called the office. He asked for a repair. I am rejecting this response because:An contract or agreement has to be in place to do business.  I reject any claim of Allstate in lieu of NO agreement in place or contract to support their position.The call to Allstate Electric was one of many I made to address my electrical problem.  I was warned by [redacted] of sleazy practices within Boise Electricians, that want to start charging you before you sign an agreement for them to be authorized to do the work.    A phone call requesting bids or services is not an authorization to do the work.
