Review: My truck was stolen Jan 17 2014, I am covered through Allstate insurance, as of today, I have been without a car for almost 6 months, I feel that my insurance company has not covered the theft in a correct and timely manner, Allstate investigated the theft for a full 4 months, the insurance investigator asked me for my cell phone text and call logs wich I supplied to them, I was told by investigator that my logs where falsified and called me a liar, soon after, insurance decided to settle theft claim. My complaint is that my truck was so badly damaged from the theft, that it should of been totaled and I should of been paid off for loss of truck immediately, instead insurance decided to repair truck even though I was originally told by insurance adjuster, my insurance agent and even body shop that truck is too badly damaged to be repaired, so now after 2 months in repair shop, I still have no truck due to so many damages that repair shop keeps finding while repairing it, the repair shop is now unable to find color matching interior parts and is installing different color parts due to manufacture not making my truck parts anymore. Originally my insurance adjuster said it would cost $6,000 to repair it, and now as of today repair bill is at almost $12,000 with many more repairs required due to so much damage, the total repair bill as of now is more than my truck is worth, there is no final date on my truck being repaired due to too much damage, I feel that my insurance adjuster should of known of these problems and should of offered to pay me off so that I could of replaced my truck in a timely manner, I am struggling every day with getting to work and taking my kids to school. So as of now I don't know when ill get my truck back, and it wont be the same as before due to so much damage and not matching interior parts, also, when I recovered truck from theft, I attempted to drive it to work several times and almost got into accidents due to truck shutting off on own on freeway with my kids in itDesired Settlement: I would like for my truck to be totaled due to too much damage and being unsafe to drive and me being paid so I can replace my vehicle ASAP! I don't believe that my truck is a safe vehicle to drive due to those close missed accidents on the freeway with my kids in it, I have been a Allstate member for 15 years with no tickets, no accidents, and no claims, and feel I been treated unfairly,.. my truck needs to be totaled, it is not a safe truck to drive with family anymore, please help

I still do not have my vehicle, there is still no date on when my vehicle will be complete due to the excessive damage caused by theft, wich is why I believe my car should of been a total loss, I complained about the unsafe driveability of vehicle, but Allstate assured me that it was repaired, so I guess Ill have to find out for myself when driving on freeway with my family and hope that truck does not turn off on its own and me involved in a accident and have family injured because Allstate stubbornness on doing what is best for them and not me, I asked Allstate for a rental car in the meantime because of the length of this repair, " over 6 months now", but they refuse to give me a rental car, it seems that Allstate has a answer for everything, but when its all said, I am still without my car, I guess Allstate motto of being in good hands is not true. 15 years of being a perfect customer to Allstate with no claims, no accidents, no tickets, meant nothing to them

Mr. [redacted]’s shop of choice is cautiously optimistic that the vehicle will be delivered on Monday, August 4th. One of the wiring harnesses that required replacement has been discontinued and the shop had to order three different harnesses before the correct one was delivered. Allstate’s investigation in the beginning of the claim was unique and unusually lengthy, taking about two months. Allstate has apologized to Mr. [redacted] for the length of the investigation and has compensated him with additional monies for customer service. The vehicle has been at Mr. [redacted]’s shop of choice for over three months. Each time the shop notified us of supplemental damage, we were able to have an adjuster on sight within 24 hours to approve the additional repairs. There was a period of almost two months where we never heard from the shop. While Allstate admits that our initial investigation was lengthy, we believe that Mr. [redacted]’s shop is also to blame for the lengthy repair time. I have been in contact with Mr. [redacted] almost daily since July 23rd and will continue to keep in close contact with both he and the shop until the repairs have been completed to his satisfaction.
