Thank you for the opportunity to respond to this complaintIt appears when the customer set up her policy, we did not receive all required documents immediately It took a few days to receive from her Once it was received it was sent to Allstate Underwriting to review The turn time for this process was 1-days it was sent in on a Friday and the policy was terminated on Tuesday Only because those documents were not reviewed as of yet When it was discovered the policy terminated we called corporate and asked to reinstate the policy; which did happen that day Unfortunately when a policy "action" takes place corporate sends out a notice This is the reason she received a termination notice The agent handling wasn't aware that a billing statement hadn't been sent When customer was contacted about balance owing we tried to make payment options available to her and she declined saying she didn't get a bill so how was she supposed to know to pay We apologized to the customer for the confusion and she opted to cancel her policy with us
