On November 9, my Hot water Heater pipes burst causing a flood in my basement. I replaced the hot water heater myself but on November 13 filed a claim with my homeowners insurance through Allstate for the damage sustained.
I have a contractor who has been with me for 7 months and who I trust who is going to do the repairs.
This process working with Brandon ***, Allstate claim adjuster has been extremely frustrating. Each time he spoke with my contractor, he requested additional documentation and guaranteed it would be wrapped up soon. The last conversation he ahd with me and my contractor separately, on Thursday, December 30, he told us their was a 600.00 discrepancy but that everything should be wrapped up by Tuesday, January 5.
Today, I contacted my agent to followup. She returned my call to tell me, "they need additional information" and they reached out to my contractor but haven't heard back. When I called my contractor, he stated "he sent everything they requested, pictures and estimate.

Earlier in this process I asked why this process is taking so ling when other Allstate customers I know, received their payments within 3 days.
Bottom line of this run around is, I am not using one of Allstate;s Vendor. So they are interested in backing up their slogan "You're in Good Hands", unless you do things their way.

The said *** Insurance company failed to catch an error whereby my house was listed as Condo instead of house with TWIA, Texas *** Insurance. As a result, my insurance claim to TWIA for exterior damages due to Hurricane Harvey was denied.

In 2010, for reasons unknown, the previous owner of our Allstate office, Henry ***, changed the *** insurance of *** Drive, no.12 La Playa from House to Condo. My late husband and I were not informed about the change to our dwelling. In 2014, Don and Linda *** purchased the business from Henry ***. I learned about the error only in August 2017, after Hurricane Harvey damaged the dwelling and I asked *** Allstate to file a claim to TWIA, Texas *** Insurance for me.

*** Allstate refused to take responsibility for the error. They put the blame squarely on me and the former Allstate agent. Even as a lay person, common sense tells me *** Allstate could not disclaim all responsibility since they were the ones to issue the bill to me every year. There is a reason why we go to such agencies, to make sure our overages are foolproof. Common sense tells me also since they bought the business from ***, and handled my house insurances, they cannot disclaim all responsibilities for the error. Because of their error, TWIA covered the interior and told me to go to *** Allstate for exterior coverage. *** Allstate initially had asked me for the estimate, citing since it was their error, they will cover the exterior damages. Later, they changed their mind and refused to cover it. I appealed to the CEO of Allstate, Thomas J ***, and Allstate denied my claims with a flat, "we do not cover hurricane damage." They paid no heed to the fact, because of their error, TWIA refused to cover the exterior damages.
I am aware Insurance companies have what is called Error and Omission insurance which *** Allstate could have applied to - to cover the error. As I said, there is a reason why I go to such agencies; I look for foolproof services. And when they fail to detect an error, I expect them to take responsibility for it.

Not only did *** Allstate refuse to take any responsibility for it, they twisted my words, claiming I said that my husband called in to make the change October of 2010. That was a flat out lie, I never said anything of that nature. My late husband could not have made the call to effect the change. October of 2010, he was dying of ALS, under hospice care and was not able to speak or swallow. He died April of 2011.

I suffered a break in at my residence of 8500 E Mississippi Ave on 12/15/17. I had numerous items taken from my home. Some electronic items that were taken I no longer have receipts for and the stare are stating they no longer keep transaction after 13mos and 24mo. I have been given a extremely hard time by *** and *** in regards to my claim. I had photograps of my property that was taken from my home and placed in Allstates "Locker" for proof of ownership. I provided Allstate with a police report, my serial number, contact information and information that was relayed to me by merchants who were unable to retrieve transactions along with their names and telephone numbers. I feel I am being discrimanted against due to my race. Mr. accuseed me of lying in regards to a receipt I had furnished him from *** for an 899.00 item that was missing from my home and apart of my claim. Mr *** stated *** had informed him the item was returned by me and I received a refund. On a phone call between Mr *** and myself on 01/03/18 *** was called on 3 way and an agent confirmed I did not in fact ever return the item as Mr *** had stated. Also I advised Mr *** the secondary party on my policy does not live at my residence and was a previous partner of mine. Mr *** emailed my leasing office and "indicated" there was another party living at the residence after my self and the secondary individual advised him they did not live here. As a result I was just given a 60 day notice by my leasing office to move du to a violation of my lease having an unauthorized occupant, even though the other party does no reside here. I am being treated as a criminal and as a guilty person til proven innocent by Mr *** and Mr ***. As a reult I am being forced to rush and find a new home. I feel I am being discriminated against due to my race. Mr *** went to the other parties *** page and I am assured he also viewed mine.

I had a bad experience recently filing a claim with Allstate. They accepted liability and told me to take my vehicle to the shop of my choice. I took it to *** Auto Body in Richardson TX. The estimate was a 3 day repair.
I call on the 3rd day to find out the check for the repair had not even been sent yet. Beyond that the agent was not communicative with either the body shop or rental car company, I had to continually call the agent and ask her to get on 3 way conference call with the companies. *** Auto Body would not release the car until the check arrived so I was stuck with the rental. That issue I am taking up separately with ***.
The agent then went on vacation over Christmas. This is fine, but she should have sent the check before the Christmas break. She claimed the body shop needed to send over a request for additional work to cover the extra days, and would not cover a rental beyond the 3 day initial agreement.
The check finally arrived 9 days after I dropped the car off. The body shop owner gave me the express package which contained the check. On my way to drop off the rental car, I called up the agent and asked her to get on 3 way conference call with the rental car company. She agreed as a courtesy to cover two additional days, for a total of 5 days. This left me stuck with a $150+ rental bill for 4 days.
Allstate and *** are both blaming eachother for the delay and I'm stuck in the middle, with a car that was held hostage for a check that should have arrived much sooner. I called the supervisor to complain and he told me there's nothing he can do, and likely he wouldn't even have given the extra two days on the rental.
At this point they can keep the money, but if you have to deal with Allstate in the future ensure they send the check out ASAP for the repair and know how many rental days they will cover.

On *** Pkwy, *** Ga (*** Co) 12/19/ 2017 insurers sis in law hit me from behind. She stated in a hurry to get to work, I stopped at red light she ran into me. She admitted her fault/ she hit me from behind. We pulled into gas pkg lot & she gave me her license, she called her husb & he showed up abt 10-15 min later. He provided me with ins card (ins name is different from lady who hit me). lady who hit me. I took pics of her car & mine. I didn't call police but called my ins company and they said take pics, get copy of her license and insurance card. I did. I also called the ins co and the person at Allstate said yes the policy was in force.

On Thur I took my car to *** in Marietta got an estimate. I then called Allstate Ins to file claim on their ins. The lady said since I already knew who I would use to download Allstate app and take pics myself and send to them. I did. She said after they spoke with their insured and if they admitted they hit me they would then send me an "estimate" and at that point I could take est to Coll center. I got est back on 12/26 and sent to *** Coll and I left my car. 12/28 I called Allstate to find out how I go about getting the rental car (the lady told me I could get a rental at their expense) and was told they hadn't accepted respon for claim. I told them I had pics & they gave me their ins card & drivers license &that I was told when I got the estimate that I could take car to Coll center. They said woman who hit me "admitted she hit me from behind" but they are disputing "amount of damage". This bill is $700-900 as bumper was dented in & needs repainted. Allstate ins won't allow me to get a rental car even though they told me I could get one at their expense. My young daughter has a dr appt tomor out of town & I need rental car to take her to her appt

I have pics of both cars damage, a pic of her license plate, her drivers license &ins card.

13 years of driving no accidents that were my fault, I go to allstate for the accident forgiveness, oops I didn’t know the secret knock and the secret password. Signed up online not one mention of accident forgiveness, they called me to complete the sign up not one mention if I want accident forgiveness. There commercials don’t mention anything about having to ask them for it, I assumed (yes I made an *** u me) it came standard since when you get insurance they know your whole record. Got into accident called to find out if I had it, get told they would call back in 10 mins they have to ask the underwriter if I did, no call back at all. Next day I called again no one picks up I guess when it’s lunch time *** the customer, they eventually call me back with; she called and left a message, that’s funny my phone didn’t ring I have no missed calls or any voicemail. Bunch of lazy liars who don’t want to do their job. I get called by the person who is doing the estimate she quotes me an amount then says she didn’t see the damage on my fender flare and that when the shop takes it apart they can let her know what’s broken and she can adjust for that, I was stupid enough to say I was going to fix it she asks for more pictures which I gave her pictures of the mounting bracket that was cracked completely in two, she then comes back and says my deductible would cover the 488 so they are not paying out. When she called the first time I asked her how much just the bumper was and she gave me a quote which was more then the 488 she eventually quoted me, to bad I have no proof. In the end after she found out I was going to do the work myself she low balled me. Horrible company when I get my new house I’m switching from this cut rate insurance company 150 a month 1800 a year 18000 10 years, they just threw all that money away because of how cheap they are I should have looked at Revdex.com, hundreds if not thousands of reviews about how they try and low ball people. Going back to ***; someone ran into me and did the same damage ( new front bumper and new drivers side fender) exactly the same damage, only difference was it was a 2001 *** Cherokee at the time 13-15 year old vehicle I got 1600 for the repairs apparently a 2016 *** Wrangler with same damage is only worth 488 dollars even if it was my fault with the Cherokee after my 500 deductible I still would have made 1100 dollars, a *** Wrangler bumper is more complex then my crappy Cherokee bumper. 13 years with no accidents so logic dictates I’ll probably go another 13 years before I have another accident and because they are *** about payments and they don’t care about their customers they are going to lose out on over 18000 dollars. All over a accident that was only a fender bender, its ok I’ll take my thousands of dollars and go somewhere else. Good job allstate I was not in good hands a matter of fact as I was falling into the good hands they pulled them apart at the last second and said *** you sucker we ain’t paying ***. I hope the other persons damage was more then I’ve paid into my insurance with you so that way when I leave you lost money with instead of getting money.

This is the worst company I have ever worked with professionally and personally. They do not care about the individual/customer. I requested a quote online providing an accurate account of my driving history and was given a quote. I paid for the policy online and received an email confirming auto coverage.

Not once did I receive a formal email, letter, or call stating that my premium had increased and only realized there had been a increase (TWO TO THREE TIMES THE ORIGINAL QUOTE) when I received my monthly statement.

When I called customer support they said my premium had been increased after information was found through other agencies. I asked why my price increased if all the driving history had been provided and was accurate. The only thing the representative could say was that it is within their right to amend my premium and that they are not required to give formal notification.

Months after cancelling my policy, I received a letter stating that my account is past due and that my account will be sent to a collection agency. I finally got in contact with the person in charge of customer complaints and am yet again told that it is lawful for Allstate to increase a premium without notifying the customer.

This company is deceitful and practices immoral business. I would never recommend this company to anyone. Do not do business with this company if you do not have perfect driving history.

I was in a auto accident that was not my fault. I went through Allstate because the lady who hit me had Allstate. It has been a nightmare from the beginning. I called my insurance company to report the accident and that I was going through Allstate. Now ten days later I still have only received one call from them and trying to get a rental car to get mine in the shop for repairs. They had my rental reservation in the wrong name also for my phone number someone put 555-5555 which is just not caring about your job and poor customer service.

The worst thing I have been with allstate both home and vehicles since before 1992. This is same allstae agent mark *** office I lost my home last week from an electrical fire. They refuse to talk to me and said only they can cancel without reason. I had no idea. They withdrawl from my credit unoin and have for a very long time. This is the 3rd time they are not paying. This is a fire. I lost everything. Im homeless. They left me and my fam8ly homeless. I have a grandson great grandson I had in my home. He Zander was 1 week 2 days old. They are leaving us in the streets to have nothing. This is the truth. I am disabled and in june I will be 80 years old. On the streets after faithfully paying thru automatic withdrawls. They told me nothing and the fire was decembrr 20th thet cancelled nov 20 without notice. I was paid up in full of course. Ive been in and out of tge hospital and cant walk. I lost even my wheel chair. My son in law carried me out of the fire. It was electrical. Everman texas 3708 columbine. Please help me I d9nt have anythibg make them pay. This is wrong. Im a christian woman how could they be so dishonest. Please help me please I beg you

We totaled our car four years ago and purchased another one quite similar. We did not notice that Allstate continued to charge us premiums for the car which they had taken title instead of current vehicle which had lower premiums. When I was hit recently while stopped for a red light, Allstate informed us that we were not covered. I then received a notice from the state that my license would be suspended due to driving w/o insurance. I went to the BMV and explained the situation. I was told by them that all my insurance company had to do was send them an email that I had insurance at the time of the incident. I went directly to my agent's office where not only did he refuse to see me and said it was 'nothing to do with them'. What makes even less sense is that the other driver's insurance (***) promptly settled the claim and Allstate would not have been out a single cent. A single star is a higher rating than they deserve, but it is the lowest option available.

I acquired insurance from Allstate Insurance company in 1991. No claims until 2014. In December 2012 I called my agent, Mr. *** and informed him that my husband was dying of cancer and *** was foreclosing. Cancel the home owners policy for ever. Do not bill or cover for 2013. I followed with a letter and at end of month called again and restated request. I moved shortly there after and was robbed in 2016. I called Mr. about covering the loss and got yelled at that Allstate does not even offer renters insurance. I had received a copy of a home owners policy in my name and my of address that stated it was paid in full until 11-29-2016. I looked into it and found out they had drawn over $800.00 each year after my ordering the closure of the policy. 2013, 2014, 2015, and 2016. I contacted the Revdex.com after not getting any admission of wrong doing let alone a refund. They removed funds each year by auto draw. My son handled my account, paying my bills electronically. Alllstate never sent policies or payments paid. I only got the one in 2016 because I skipped over Mr. and contacted Corporate. When the Revdex.com contacted Allstate on my behalf in early 2017 I got three of the nastiest people call and harass me. They were my insurance company not the mortgage holder. I can fire them whenever I please. No reasons needed. When the fourth person called I simply said "If your not prepared to refund the funds you stole from me. We have nothing to talk about." She replied Ok and hung up. That was the last attempt to resolve this from them. My attorney tried to no avail also. I have several issues with my auto ins. as well and I will run out of room before I can even begin to tell you. It is really bad treatment and lack of coverage by them for me. Paying drivers who hit me and refusing to cover my losses. I still have an unrepaired vehicle and even their own auto shop won't touch my truck. I work at *** and I am honestly 100% baffled by how unprofessionally you all handled the last Allstate collision repair we did for one of your claimants. You basically made a joke out of my job with all the low supplements you kept sending back to me, wasting my time by me having to copy your supplements and rewrite another one with the items you left off. I get it, you were hoping I would overlook the items and you all could get away with paying 300 bucks less than what you owed our shop, which I have a hard time understanding because I know Allstate has plenty of money to pay these supplements - certainly more money than my body shop possesses. When you try to literally screw us on a supplement, it affects us all, including our employees, such as our body and paint technicians who are expecting to get paid for ALL of the hours they put into a job. Also, when I tried to call your staff and inquire with them they were very rude to me, particularly a woman named Jennifer, phone number (*** They all acted as if I was the one who was making things complicated when Allstate was the one trying to get out of paying for one of their insured's accidents! - Maybe you all should look up the definition of an insurance policy and the coverage included on a policy, I don't know, maybe you all will understand your purpose is more than selling policies, collecting premium, and screwing body shops over. I can promise you that I will never have Allstate and I will make sure to tell everyone I run into that has Allstate or is thinking about switching to Allstate that it's not worth the headache and pure hell they'll go through being insured with you.

I have my issues with Allstate since July 23,2017 and they gave me wrong information and jurking me around for a job that they suppose to finish it. Two of their employee *** claim # *** and *** claim #*** had horrible customer service to me regarding me case and didn't take any responsibilities. I send an email to *** boss , *** but she was the same thing.
I send fax on Dec 7 regarding my complaint to the CEO office, Thomas Wilson & asking answering to my complaint until Dec 12. Someone of his office let a message for me on Dec 11,*** 847-***-*** ext *** . I called her and left a message for her on Mon twice ,Tues & thur..but I didn't hear from her. I called again & talk with another employee in the Executive office but she said you must call with *** & she will call you soon but until today none from this horrible Allstate executive office call me back for my complaint. I told to Rep. that I need talk with *** manager but she said she doesn't have any manager as she is working in the executive office. It is not wondering why Allstate insurance company is one of the unlikely company and having very bad reputation because they just want fill their pocket and doesn't care about their claims...

The most severe complaint that I have in regards to this situation is the fact that I tried on numerous occasions to get this situation resolved with my local insurance agent Vicki ***. About 1 - 2 months ago, I recieved notice that my insurance would be going up from around 350 to about 612 when my policy expired. After recieving this information, I instantly called Mrs. so that I could try and find out what was going on and why was the policy going up almost 300.00. I left a message because she wasn't available, never got a call back so I tried again for the next couple of days with same result. No call back or anything. Finally I asked one of the reps that worked there would they be able to assist me in this matter. I was informed that Mrs. would be the one that I had to speak with in regards to the matter. Ok, so I dropped by the office to see if I could get in contact with her that way and when I went to the location on a Tuesday morning about 9:45 a.m, I was disappointed to find out that they werent open yet. (Sign on the door say 9-6.) Eventually I caught up with Mrs. by phone and when I began to ask her about the price increase, I was met with hostility and rudeness simply because her one word answer of "Surcharges" wasnt sufficient to me as I've been with All State 16 years mainly in Texas and have never heard of such. As I tried to explain to Mrs. that this was unfamiliar to me, she became even more irate and told me I was just mad that the policy was going up. After calling multiple different insurance companies as I was looking for new coverage, this past weekend it was discovered and documented that I had an erroneous claim (8/25/17) on my file that was not paid out and was on my driving record which ultimately affected my rate going up sky high. I spoke w/ Allstate employees I was told that this should have resolved by Mrs. and her lack of effort and attention to detail directly caused my policy go increase. This is unacceptable.

I received an unsolicited letter from the Allstate Office located at *** Denver, CO 80203, dated Nov 29, 2017 with a estimated quote for home owners insurance. The letter quoted an estimated annual premium of $641.22 for an estimated Dwelling Protection of a $475,000 home. This sounded too good to be true but just to check it out, I contacted this Allstate office for an actual estimate. What I got back was an an estimated annual premium of $2802.00!? Dwelling Protection in their letter was for $475,000 for $610.22/year and then their actual quote actually LOWERED the Dwelling Protection to $473,642 but raised the premium to $2765.76!? What kind of scam is Allstate trying to run? This is nothing more than a bait and switch advertising campaign. I really expected more from a nationally known company like Allstate. Buyer beware of Allstate.

I was involved in an auto accident on October 18,2016 and the driver who struck my vehicle (and was cited for failing to yield) is insured by Allstate.
Allstate told me to get my car repaired which I did and that was settled easily. Then they told me to seek the treatment I needed which included physical therapy over about 9-10 month's. When the treatment was completed for my back injury, I then submitted all my bills to Allstate to settle the claim.

The total for my bills is $4376.46 and Allstate offered me $3800, take it or sue us. I am 22 years old, work full time and have no time to sue a big company like Allstate. I checked on a number of different websites and the settlement should be around $8500-11,000.

Allstate is refusing to pay me at a minimum my actual costs and is paying basically nothing towards my pain & suffering.

I find this to be unfair at many levels and just a big company taking advantage of the working individual who does not have the time or resources to sue them.

I was lied to and called a liar on top of being told it's unfortunate that they lied to me and nothing can be done.

Allstate Insurance charged me $845.21 for auto insurance for a person who has their own insurance and does not live with me. I gave Allstate a copy of this person's auto insurance and Allstate refunded $458.30. Allstate still owes me $386.91.

On 8/28/2017, my pregnant wife was rear-ended by an Allstate-insured person while driving, and caused minor head injuries. The driver admitted fault to my wife, and the police, who were called to the scene. A police report was created and the report number provided to Allstate when we reported the accident later that day. On 8/29, an email from Allstate requested me to send pictures of my car. I replied on 9/11 with a link to the requested pictures. Since Allstate didn’t notify me to the contrary, I understood the pictures were accessed and accepted.

On 9/15, Mr. *** responded to my request for status update that he had not ordered a police report or spoke to the insured yet. When I asked how much longer it would take, instead of advising a reasonable time limit to complete the investigation, Mr. rudely responded with, "There is no 'time limit' - we have to complete our liability investigation."

Approximately three months after the accident, Mr. called me to say the repairs were approved. When we called the repair shop to arrange vehicle repair, we discovered that Allstate had not approved a rental car, and recommended us to download an app in order for them to receive pictures of damages (although I sent on 9/11). I complained Mr. manager, *** that I already sent the pictures, and it made no sense for us to be advised of approval for repairs if a rental car could not be arranged. *** said although Allstate’s 8/29 email read that emailing pictures were an option, it no longer was and the only way for them to view the damage was for me to download the app, or other methods which would take weeks to months, and continue to provide a more forceful recommendation to download the app in order to "speed up the claims process." He also blamed me for the entire process taking so long, not on Mr. for his delay in obtaining a police report or speaking to the insured. Nearly four months later, our call is still in disrepair.
