The way Allstate treats their customers is unbelievable and sad. The Shawn *** Insurance Agency in Novato CA is the worst!! The previous owner for 40 years Peter *** and his wife Cindy took such good care of his customers and when Peter sold to this clown service fell to abysmal and things never get done correctly. First he is NEVER in the office. There is constant staff turnover and Shawn does not seem to care. Appears no one wants to work for him. Shawn does not return phone calls but he lies about it and says he calls back, he fails to make changes to policies, unexplained premium increases etc. Heaven forbid you get a property inspection. They come without an appointment and when you refuse entry to an unknown person, Allstate non renews your insurance. This creates panic to scramble for new insurance usually at the last minute. The customer service support line is hit or miss. Claims does not call back in a timely manner and tries to cheat you out of full value. It should not be this difficult to get good service or help with insurance. *** is much better.

I just got groped by the 'good hands' of Allstate - again. If Harvey *** has to answer for his groping, then Allstate should too. First I had a claim improperly processed previously and now that is impacting a current claim for damage from the Nov. 2017 rain and wind storm. Allstate's position is that if a tree did not fall on your house, then you have no damage. REALLY??

My vehicle was broken into, burglarized and vandalized. Someone broke into my *** and stole my personal belongings: ***, ***rs glasses, *** (Snowboarding), my free guest ski passes, a backpack and $200. They tried to steal my tires and wheels as well, but where unable to due to my *** falling off their jacks due to it being lifted improperly destroying my front bushings and both bumpers as the vehicle fell off the jacks and then was repeatedly damaged on the interior and exterior of the vehicle. My interior was completely soaking wet with god only knows what, my seats were destroyed my sunglass display was ripped out and hanging down. The window glass was cracked, my fender and door were destroyed from the person leaving their tools they used to break in and their phone inside my vehicle and locking themselves out and they tried everything to regain entry but were unsuccessful leaving me with direct evidence for police. Police came and made report and took the phone.
I contacted Allstate to make a claim to get my vehicle repaired. I submitted the police report and I requested for an adjuster to come out and immediately write an estimate and was told “No, that is not an option” by Asheley *** who was assigned to my claim, but was unable to do anything for me due to being out of the office for more than 3 weeks of over the past month my case has been assigned to her. (Unprofessional at the least) was finally told by ashaley to either submit photos via the Allstate app or have an estimate written by a shop. I did both and was told that an adjuster needed to come out. (Thought that wasn’t an option??). I was told by claims person I spoke to that the adjuster would have to shops estimate to refer to since he can not disassemble it himself due to being unqualified. Adjuster comes out and writes a horrible estimate, miss writes the damage and repairs. Tried to tell me that damage behind my bumpers was preexisting and weren’t from the incident which is why they aren’t covering bumpers which were never damaged while I owner vehicle. I have pictures before and after and the police report. The adjuster told me that Allstate would cover to replace both my fender and my door but the estimate showed repair which would be unsuccessful and unsatisfactory due to the amount of filler needed to repair would be unprofessional and horrible body work causing the paint to chip flake and crack over the area. He even had the shops estimate to refer to and either disregarded it or didn’t look at whatsoever. The shops estimate was over four times the amount what the adjuster wrote and Allstate is not willing to pay out the difference in full for my vehicle to be repaired to my satisfaction. The local shops are backed up and can’t complete the repairs until after February. So I can’t drop it off. I’ve done my due diligence and sent supplements myself and received nothing else from Allstate. We have a legal contract together that they are bound to uphold and are refusing to do so.
Ashaley *** told me directly if I had an estimate written it would be honored and paid which was a blatant and direct lie.
I want my shops estimate which Ashaley *** told me would be paid out in full to be.
Allstate also covers my rental insurance and failed to tell me that could help cover damages and a rental vehicle as well, but then I found out my rental policy had been cancelled without ever notifying me about renewal or cancellation. That is unlawful.
My current rental needs to be extended and covered due to them taking longer than acceptable to resolve this matter and get the *** repaired professionally & satisfactorily.
My vehicle is still unoperable due to Allstate not staying in constant contact and then sending an adjuster out over a month after the incident happened instead of immediately as I requested. I have a infant daughter and having allstate expect and force our family to use public transport in the freezing weather is dispicable and downright wrong. Allstate and I have a contact we are both legally bound to uphold and I am disgusted with their refusal to do such.

Please don't get insurance with Allstate. This company is a rip off. They will increase your rates for no reason over and over.

I signed up with All State and paid my home insurance premium in full a week in advance. two months later they came back with a bill asking for $70. I disputed the bill and they said they will take care of it. I kept calling my local agent Nathan *** but no one would help or return my calls. The head quarter also didn't help and kept saying call your local agent. I want consumers to be aware of this method of charging customer more after they agreed and signed up with All State. Do not fall into this trap.

On Wednesday Sept 4,2017 9:12pm I contacted allstate for roadside assistance.I specifically asked them to send a flatbed. the customer service rep said no problem they would send one right out. About 9:30 I get a text with the information for the company and 15 mins later a driver called and he said he was tim mins away he came and no flat bed. I apologize to him for his time being waisted and sent him on his way. I then called allstate back spoke with a rude car named Trina ended up hanging up called back and spoke with a manager she said she would fix the problem and have a flat bed dispatched. About 10:55pm I got another text msg with another provider's information when that tow truck driver got to my house an hour later yet again no flare bed but they had four way dolly . so 8 called allstate back they told me they would try and find me a tow truck. Around 112am they told me I could get up out my sleep and try and have it towed to the dealership in the morning I have an 8:15 am appt so that means I have to get up at 6am. when I got my car towed home and used my cellphone roadside assistance and called for a flat bed Monday evening had no issues I finally decided to use allstate and they can't get it right. I should not have to explain to people why I want or need a flat bed that's what I asked for that's what I want no questions asked that's what I pay my insurance for.

Through investigation we have found that the date of the service event in question was October 4, 2017, not September 4, 2017. Our investigation found that the service misses were made by the service providers that we dispatched and not by our Rescue Agents. The dispatch records were documented that flatbed equipment was needed.

We want to sincerely apologize for the frustration and inconvenience Ms. experienced when requesting roadside assistance. Be aware that we have taken immediate action to identify and address those circumstances that resulted in a level of service that we find unacceptable for our Allstate customers.

These concerns have been documented for the Network Performance Manager. They will determine what level of corrective action is necessary with the service provider involved.

August 28th of this year I changed my car ins, company from Allstate to *** car ins. There was no laps in my coverage I had direct pay set-up with Allstate to pull the funds on the 3rd of every month with my bank and *** auto Ins. started to pull my premiums on the 3rd of September when my Allstate would have been due. I reveived a bill for $68.00 When I called to asked what it was for the could not give an answer, I asked them to send me an invoice for exactly what the charge was for and they said they would. Allstate sent it in to collection and when I called they said that it was for the discounts I had for my car Ins. that they charge me for since I canceled my car ins. To this day I have not received a bill for exactly what the $68.00 is for!

I attempted to buy auto insurance from Allstate on Lafayette parkway on August 22 2017. At that time I gave them my debit card information to have it withdrawn automatically from my checking account. Several weeks later I received a letter from Allstate that they would be unable to insure me. I then went out and got other insurance with *** on September the 13 2017. In October I received an email from Allstate stating they would be taking out the insurance premium. Since they had already sent me a letter I assumed it was in error. On November 21 they took out 1500.00 out of my account. When I called to question them first they couldn't find my account and then they tried to say that they had been insuring me the whole time. Even though they never sent out any bills, send me insurance cards. They also said that they couldn't find the letter they had sent me in September. Now they have to do an investigation into what happen, all the time keeping my money. They have overdrawn my checking account as well

ALLSTATE should not even be allowed to be a useable company anymore. TERRIBLE! They are all clueless, and you call ten times to get one thing done when each person you talk to says "it's all taken care of" just to find out they DID NOTHING! I HATE this company with a deep passion it is ridiculous how they run. Started with them and my prices kept going up, then they always had some stupid policy rate saver they had me signed up for (which they told me nothing about just told me my price) and then it'd go up three months later and they said "well you had this discount on there and never signed up for the app or online" well the fact that I didnt know I had this discount on there and I had to follow up to keep it how could I?! and then oh well its too late its gone, up 30plus dollars a month. Then after a separation, they took 4 months to get my car and his car separated in policies, I got double charged for my car and his, and then they let him call in change my address and email and ADD himself to my policy! CRAZY! Then I got into a car accident, two cars hit me they were at fault and it took claims a week, A WEEK, to get in contact with me and I had a MINOR IN THE CAR! They dont care at all, I called my agent 6 times to tell him I couldn't get ahold of anyone in claims department and he never returned my call EVER. WHAT THE HELL AM I PAYING YOU FOR?! So my accident was 9/2/17 today it is November 22,2017 and I just got my estimate over their stupid app QUICKPHOTOS and it said not over my deductible so I have to pay it all! IM THE ONE WHO GOT HIT WHEN DOES THE PERSON WHO GOT HIT HAVE TO PAY ANYTHING! AND TWO MONTHS LATER?! Both front and back bumper are popped off and my Driver side door wont open I have to call through and they give no area to write comments on their app for their estimate so they have no idea that the bumper clips are broken and the door wont open and my CLAIMS IT DIDNT EVEN NOTE IT. MARISSA *** SUCKS ***. She takes forever to call back, knows nothing, and can't get *** done. Allstate agent TJ *** sucks *** too. Thanks for never ever calling me back. I can't wait till my car is fixed so I can kick this sorry excuse for a company to the curb. Must have "qualifications: incompetent, lazy, ***" on their applications because thats how they are! Spare it, if it seems cheaper upfront it wont be, they wont be there for you and your price will go up monthly with NO EXPLANATIONS. Stay clear of this ***.

We filed a claim on August 28, 2017 when Harvey hit us with heavy wind and unstoppable rain damaging a large window in the master bedroom pouring rain straight over to mattress, bed and table, damaged roof causing ceiling to leak multiple location, a small are of the ceiling fell off causing water to pour on the mattress, the bed and dresser which also splashed water over to the mirror and other furniture.
Upon my numerous requests; Allstate finally scheduled an inspection but no one showed up. They scheduled again but NO SHOW NO CALL. Weeks later an inspector came, inspected the property and said she was going to have content adjuster give me call but no one call. At the same same, Allstate tried to DECEIVE me by MANIPULATING the information provided to them by their roof inspector; Allstate told me the water did not come from the ceiling per inspector but Allstate DIDN'T KNOW THAT I HAD RECORDED MY CONVERSATION WITH THE ROOF INSPECTOR WHO CLEARLY SAID TWICE HOW WATER GOT IN THROUGH THE CEILING DUE TO CONTINUOUS HEAVY WIND AND RAIN OVER MANY DAYS. Allstate sent another inspector who also told me that the roof was damaged but he failed to take pictures of all damages inside the property.
All damaged furniture were moved in our front yard and shown to the inspector almost 2 months ago. The adjuster told me that she would pay for the furniture but never did.
On November 17, 2017; Another adjuster called and said that she had taken over from the previous adjuster. She asked me to provide her photos of the damaged furniture in the bedroom. My response was that the inspector should have taken photos when they were sitting in the front yard.

Two roofing companies have inspected our roof and both have advised us to replace the roof but Allstate said there is nothing wrong with the roof. Again, I have recorded conversation with Allstate roof inspector who told me the roof was damaged due to heavy wind and rain.

I was in a hit and run on April 4th 2017. I gave the responding officer the license plate number but thought the state was SC. It was afterwards that I realized the state was GA and called to update the report.
I was seeing a chiropractor for a preexisting condition and when I mentioned the car accident. Treatment was upgraded to help with a new injury, spine/neck. The chiropractor had me sign some paperwork so Allstate could pay them directly, then gave me a lawyer's card and said they would be expecting me. Allstate called me and said even though I was not at fault, there would be no settlement, but prepared and estimate on what it would cost to repair my vehicle. I was confused because I have uninsured and underinsured coverage. So I went to the lawyer and they got my information and told me not to talk to Allstate any more.
Months go by and I have had to keep making attempts to contact the lawyer to find out the situation as I was no longer therapy. It wasn't until I asked the Revdex.com to make contact that I got a response from the lawyer. I was asked to come down to go over the case. When I showed up, it was a different lawyer who did not know the specifics of the case with with file in front of him. There was a check and a form to sign. At first I was going to accept the check and signed the form. Then I called the lawyer's office on my way home and told them not to finalize the case because it appeared that the lawyer or Allstate had not gotten the updated police report with the correct state to run a check. When the officer ran it through their program, it returned the name address registration and showed that they had no insurance. Since there was no phone contact, the officer suggested having my insurance company try their program because it is different and may have a contact number. The next day I took the check back so it could be voided and the lawyer I first saw was there to see me so I could provide him with the updated information, which I had also sent to his office five months ago. The lawyer said he would contact Allstate since the driver was uninsured and the settlement was too low for the coverage I have.
The next day the lawyer called me and said that the offer was the best I was going to get in this situation and to come back down so I could be issued a check. I told him, I would need to think and seek advice as I was not satisfied with Allstate's handling of the case and felt due diligence was not performed, so I would not come down to close the case. He said Allstate called the driver and the driver said he was not in the area at the time. I told him I was flabbergasted that Allstate made no attempt to see the drivers car to look for damage or trace any recent repair work. I asked him what the options there to have the case pushed forward and he seemed to be a tad bit agitated that I did not want to settle the case, then told me Allstate is a hard company to get a settlement from that I would have had better luck with different insurance.
Now I believe both Allstate and the lawyer of *** could have done more to pursue the case. I have told the lawyer I disagree with the settlement from Allstate and do not want the case closed/payment, else I would rather find an attorney that would attempt to seek a better resolution with Allstate; what are my options?

Extreme dissatisfaction with Allstate Homeowners Insurance. Make sure you read every word of your policy because they have many loop holes written in that other companies do not.
Our recent experience was for a water leak that was not noticed until it started dripping through the ceiling below. No way were we to know this was happening; but the claim was not paid out because Allstate believes this was a preexisting leak. Worse than that was that the Claims department (from adjudicator to two levels up) had no interest at all in working with us; and even told us they did not care that we had been Allstate customers for over 20 years and had insured homes and multiple cars (at present 5) with them. But, no more.

We had a car accident in which I was not at fault. It has been 2 weeks and they still have not settled with us.ru
Had a car accident Nov. 1st. Immediately called all insurance companies. Allstate never sent anyone out to even look at the car, instead were told to take pictures of the entire car inside and out and email them. The car was a total loss. All this on Sunday. Then while still sending pictures *** (total loss rep) accused us of covering a crack in the dash, when we were taking pictures of the windshield not dash. Then noted a crack after receiving 4-5 pics of the dash on the CCC report which devalued our car further. We did not accept this and I asked to speak with her supervisor and the subject was changed. She then argued with me over the condition of the car and still refused to send a representative out. It was as if I had not even ask. After not accepting this we have heard nothing in 2 weeks from her or the company. No email, phone call. We have not received a rental. Allstate has done nothing to resolve the matter. Our car is totaled and in undrivable condition. Her attitude with the whole matter has been very accusing of us like we have been trying to cover something up. The accident was not my fault and Allstate is not my insurance company.

Very Negative experience, so far. I was rear ended by a customer of Allstates. They have been nothing shy of a nightmare to work with. The first adjuster told me that I could not return to the emergency room for any treatment, and they would not pay if I did. I asked what do I do if I don;t have the money for the co pay to go to an appointment. He told me "borrow money from a family member". What the heck? Then, upon trying to get my car repaired, I took it to a body shop and the adjuster argued with me and said "we need you to take you car to a body shop that has the parts on hand, so we don;t have to pay for extra days for the rental". No body shop keeps all the parts on hand. Another adjuster showed up to the body shop because the body shop sent a supplemental quote for damages that Allstate had not listed in their original quote for damages (this estimate was based of pictures on the app they ask you to download. The app doesn't allow you to write in things like back up camera is damages, alignment is off, etc). So, the adjuster calls me while at work and asks me "are you sure you haven't backed into a wall or something because the damages aren't consistent with being rear ended". Did he really just accuse me of making up my own damages?? He then said "the body shop completely agrees with me". So, I told him I wasn't comfortable talking to him anymore at this point and hung up. I called the body shop to inquire and let him know what the adjuster said. The body shop manager said "I was the one who walked him out to look at your car, and I never said any such thing, and I would never agree with him on that". He went on to say that "Allstate is the worst, and he sees them trying out get out of paying more often than he should". So, my experience with Allstate, so far, has been horrible. Unfortunately, I have had to seek legal representation just because Allstate is being so unreasonable. There is no sense in acting this way.

Collision center will not release my vehicle until they have been payed in full. All*** Insurance Company is wanting to pay Precision Collision $48 per hour when the labor rate is $50 per hour in that area. All other insurance companies such as ***, ***, ***, *** etc are paying the new rate for that area. One of there adjusters ***d he didn't understand why All*** didn't go ahead and follow suit like all other insurance companies. Again, the collision center will not release my vehicle until they have been paid in full.

I’ll do all my best to report them every where.

We have exhausted all our options with Allstate concerning claim number *** KNB. The issue was water damage on the side of our home that impacted two windows and required replacement of those windows and their casings. Our date of loss listed on the claim is March 7, 2017.
Statement of Facts:
• ***, claims adjuster, came out to review claim on April 18, 2017. He stated that Allstate would cover claim for $937 of the damage to our windows and stucco. Deductible is $1000. We asked him why Allstate wasn’t covering damage that our policy states it will cover. *** assured us that Allstate is covering the damage, but that the damage doesn’t meet the deductibe.
• We contacted ***, Agent, and asked him for contact information for CA State Department of Insurance, so we could submit our complaint. He responded with an email that was read by both of us that stated that Allstate would be covering the repairs. Claims representative *** confirmed this in an email. Based on this, we went out and got quotes for the work. We hired the lowest cost bidder for the window replacement and for the repair of the stucco around the windows. Total cost of $4300 and we submitted totals to them for reimbursement less deductible.
• *** was no longer at Allstate, but individual covering emails for *** sent us an email apologizing for the delayed response and asking for copies of the receipts, which we sent him.
• We received a note back from *** that the claim would not be covered, when we asked about ***ing for the reimbursement. We told *** that we went ahead with the repairs and didn’t submit our complaint to the CA State Department of Insurance because he had assured us the claim would be covered.
• Apparently he can’t make the determination on claims, which probably became an issue when the original claims representative left Allstate. Regardless, we went ahead with our work based on the commitment of Allstate.

I am rejecting this response because:

It is important that people are aware of the dishonest actions of Allstate Agent ***. He had seemed trustworthy until recently, and now he has been dishonest with us and someone else we. The incredible thing to me is that he has gone to such great lengths to hide his activities, including losing/deleting emails, when the claim is for such a nominal amount that he stated Allstate would cover less the deductible. When he sent his email committing to cover the loss, my wife and I read it. I had even complimented *** and Allstate for doing the right thing and shared the email from *** while having a drink with my friends ***, *** and ***. Apparently, he didn't want me to contact the CA Department of Insurance about him. Little did I know that he would go back on his word when the adjuster he was working with left the company.

I am not a policy-holder, but was involved in an accident with a policy holder. Every person whom I have spoken to from Allstate has been rude, dismissive, condescending, patronizing, or a combination thereof, with the exception of one associate, Jessica, who was extremely kind. I was instructed, by Allstate, to provide my banking information on their website, under the claims I'm involved in (I'm having my own claim go through MY insurance, because Allstate was not willing to allow me to get my car fixed for a minimum of 8 weeks, which is absolutely unacceptable.
Allstate deposited over $9000 into my bank account that should have gone to the policy holder. When I called, later that same day when I realized, I was threatened with legal action if I did not immediately send them a check. I no longer feel comfortable or safe with them handling a paper check, considering they can't even deposit funds correctly, and when I inquired about a wiring or electronic option, I was told none existed, which to me, seems to be an outright LIE. It is ridiculous to think that a company that large does not have the ability to have a wire sent to them, not to mention the audacity they have to threaten someone when they've made the mistake.
My bank instructed me that, in no way should I send them a paper check, because it appeared to be fraudulence, and that Allstate can recall the deposit, but Allstate now will not get back to me or answer my calls, nor have they replied in email that I requested, so that I have written support of every falsehood they have made going forward.
Absolutely incompetent, incredibly rude EVERY person I have spoken to, and treated like I have done wrong or caused the issue when it was their negligence that caused the error in the first place, and they are not willing to do anything to fix it, but rather, expect me to spend time and money that I don't have to correct their mess.
Unnacceptable. I have told and will continue to tell EVERY PERSON I KNOW NEVER TO DO BUSINESS WITH ALLSTATE... EVER.
