I was involved in an 18 wheeler accident, Truck driver wasn't insured at time of accident, I have uninsured motorist . Allstate did not pay to get my car fixed I was sideswiped it was truck drivers fault he received citation for accident .After 4 months Allstate has not paid for the repair.It's a bad company.I'm changing Insurance. Do not recommend Allstate Auto Insurance.

I was in a car accident back in April on the 23rd of 2017. I was hit head on by another driver that was not my fault and the driver did not take responsibility at first so my insurance ( Allstate) had to take care of me and my damages.
This has been a nightmare for me and I am still fighting with my insurance that I pay faithfully every month. My 2016 ***i Genesis was pretty much brand new because I never drove it until the weekends. I had over 12,000.00 worth of damages, but they did not total the car out. I have suffered emotional, physical, and health problems from the accident.
I never knew anything about Diminished Loss Value until one day I was in a restaurant having dinner with my child and a gentleman asked me how did I like my car and then I told him about my journey with the car. He told me to ask for the diminished value of my car, so that if I ever tried to trade my car in, I have already lost some value due to car accident. I called Allstate and they cut me a check for $1705.03. Now mind you, my car had low miles, almost new and that was a low amount. I called the adjuster back, and asked about the significant low value. She stated, "What amount did expect to get?" My response was, I don't know, but that seems very low. She said you can always pay for another appraisal and we can review and go from there. So, I did just that.. I actually did, two appraisals. The first amount was $6507.00 and the second appraisal was $5816.00. Huge difference!!
As a consumer, you would think that you are protected and are being treated fair as a policy holder. Ashley *** was the adjuster from Diminished Value Department that handled my claim. She lied about not receiving my paperwork for 2 weeks, she told me she had no supervisor (boss) when I asked to speak to her superior, she twisted our conversations so I had to keep a paper trail to protect myself. So unprofessional!! Remember to ask questions and advocate for yourself. Thank God, I had a Hansen and Price Appraisal Company and my lawyer to coach me along the way. You are not protected by your own insurance company..

I have never experienced such a lack of customer service and good old fashioned courtesy with an insurance provider, prior to opening a policy with All state. I had a policy with *** for years. My experience had been normal and without incident. But once I switched to allstate, my experince changed dramatically. On August 3rd, I called in to check on something. At that time I was informed that the underwriters needed two forms of ID and the titles to both of my vehicles. I asked the agent why was this information being requested almost a month after I got a policy. She does not explain to me why. She insists that I provide the information without question, because they (the underwriters) are requesting it. I informed her that I did not feel comfortable with providing such information without reason. I had never needed to send this type of info before, with any other policy I have ever held. She became irate and told me if I do not provide said info, my policy could end at any time. I told her that I could provide my Texas drivers license. She said she will accept that and get back with me, if this info was not enough. I never heard back from her. Then on September 14th, I went for a car wash and there was a young man that offered to repair chip damage to my windshield. When he called allstate, he was informed that they were not able to verify my policy. I inquired why. I was told it could take 24 to 48 hours to verify. I immediately called the agent. I got the same agent, Sharonda, who said she could guarantee I had a policy on file. I felt uneasy that allstate was not able to verify that info. At that time, I asked her if the underwriters were still resisting the information and if so, could that be the reason allstate could not verify my policy. She placed me on hold and came back and informed me that they were still requesting the information. I asked her if she was ever going to call me back and let me know I was still in jeopardy of losing service. She told me she had already informed me and that it was my responsibility. I reminded her that she told me she would call me and let me know and I never received the followup phone call. She once again became very unprofessional, speaking over me etc. I do not know who taught her it was ok to speak to a paying customer in such a manner, but it seemed like something she was used to doing. I just switched back to *** on September 15 effective September 16. When I called back to cancel the policy, I called Allstate directly. I was informed she could not cancel the policy nor could she cancel the autodraft of my payment. So I cancelled the auto draft online and I called in to the agent today to cancel the policy. I have a good driving record, I have no accidents or moving violations in a very long time. *** and all my previous insurance companies were able to verify my driving record and my car ownership, without me providing such info. She made me feel like I was a criminal and I felt violated and mistreated, especially when she tried to talk down to me and berate me. I would never recommend all state to anyone.

I renewed my Allstate boat policy on April 12 2017 for policy term 4/21/17 to 4/21/18 with premium payment of $943 which is approximately $79 per month.
I sold the boat 4 months later on August 26 2017 and notified my agent.
I have received a refund check in the amount of $378.
I do not understand calculation as 4 months of coverage at $79 per month should be about $316 deducted from the yearly premium of $943 and refund of about $627 not $378.
My agent says that it tis Allstate policy to "short rate" policies that are cancelled.
I was an Allstate customer for 20+ years.
NEVER AGAIN !!!

I'm extremely disappointed with Allstate. They advertise that you'll receive a Safe Driver Bonus check every 6 months that you're "accident-free," but that is an outright lie. I've been using the Drivewise app for 6 months and saw the reward amount increasing in my account. When it was time for them to send the check, I was told that I didn't meet the requirements for a reward. They couldn't give me (or my local agent) an exact threshold that I didn't meet, but clearly, being accident-free is not enough. I see that they were sued for deceptive advertising practices before, but they haven't learned their lesson at all.

My vehicle was hit by someone that crossed a double yellow line on March 17,2017. I reported the accident to Allstate that same day. I followed Allstate's recommendation of what automotive shop to take my vehicle. My car came back worse than when I picked it up. Allstate authorized me taking my vehicle to the GMC dealership. Unfortunately they no longer make parts for my car. GMC stated they can only use oem parts because they cannot warranty any other parts. Allstate then authorized going to a specialty shop and they too said they cannot fix my car. So I have a car that is not fixable and Allstate is not willing to work with me to have a safe car.

My car is once again in the shop the Allstate told me to take it back to. The mechanic that has had my car for the second time now all of a sudden states the struts are bad. I was told by GMC and Big Brand tires, after a 27 point inspection that my struts are fine. The mechanic also told me it still pulls to the right "slightly" unless you take you hands off the steering wheel when making a left turn and then it straightens itself out. Are they saying when I make a left turn I should take my hands off the steering wheel? Really? How safe is this? No I am not satisfied with the way allstate has dealt with this since March. Seven months, no safe car and still paying for insurance.

My son was hit by a driver whose insurance company finally assumed 100% liability almost 3 months after the accident. Unfortunately, Allstate is my sons' insurance carrier and they refuse to pay the 3,500 worth of emergency room bills stating that my son "waived his PIP coverage". I really doubt that he signed the waiver and I have yet to see any document from Allstate showing that he did. I think their business practices are unethical and deceitful. They won't even pay out when they're guaranteed to get the money back via subrogation when the claim is settled. I guess being a "good neighbor" means telling everyone to *** off when they try to file a valid claim. They are one evil organization, IMHO.

I candled a motorcycle policy I was waiting for a check, I called AllState they sent the refund to the credit card company I closed the account over 6 months ago and they are telling me I need to call the card company. All State is not a good company to do business with they make you jump through hoops and you are not in good hands. they said there was nothing they could do also they had the nerve to say how do we know the card company did not send me a check out.
