Regards,
*** *** I'm satisfied with the resolution that Griffin Chevy have come up withI have agreed to discontinue ""defamation"' of the dealershipI would also like the same exchange in return as far as discontinuing ""defamation"" on both ends on any social media platformsBecause the issue is being handled, I could revise my post I have made on review sites as a misunderstanding and the issue have been resolved, if the same is returned on your end As far as the GM complaint, I will contact them and let them know that the issue have been resolved once I receive the settlement in the mail from Griffin Chevy. I have nothing more to add and glad that we were able to agree on a resolution

roof
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 7, 2016/03/24) */

*** ***I know that Revdex.com cannot force either party to recant their stories and at this point, the he said she said and order of events is irrelevantWhat I do not agree with is the part about the firearm. Its one thing to fabricate a story, its another to fabricate a story saying that there was a weapon involved just to retaliate against a customer who filed a complaint against the businessWe both know that if this was totally 100% true, the Police would have been called and I would be in jailI also included a screen shot of the response from the google review justifying that if in fact the firearm scenario was true, The dealership would have put that in their response to my complaint. Just want to make them aware that it is a crime to make these kind of accusationsAlso want to make them aware that if they want to stick to that fabricated story with the firearm, I will be willing to take this to the courts for libel defamation of character if it affects me in any kind of wayNow to the "Cash Settlement" I'm willing to accept that if they tell me how much it is going to beI just don't want to accept and they offer me $I want to know how much they are giving to resolve this issue

In our first discussions with this gentleman, our Body Shop Manager was working with him to rectify the problems that he was having with his vehicleWhen a few things were brought to his attention, he left the building to grab his gun from his car; ultimately placing it in his waistband to show how
serious he was and intimidate our ManagerSeveral conversations and threatening voicemails led him to ask to speak with our GM, *** ***While he was waiting to speak with ***, he began to scream at our receptionist, using extremely profane language and scarring our customers, employees and two small children*** did take him in to his office to try and calm him down and discuss the situation*** responded with what we could or could not do however he did not like the answer*** escorted him out of his office at which point, this customer became irate*** did ask him to leave the building or they would remove him as his behaviour and language were threatening to our clientel*** Griffin has made contact with this gentleman but it has not pacified this person*** Griffin would like to make a cash settlement with this person so that we can move on without the threats to both our customers and employees

Hello [redacted],  I just spoke with [redacted].  Her roof remains water tight after the several rains this past weekend.  We offered  to fix her her ceiling or pay to have her contractor fix it on her own. She chose to have her contractor fix the roof. Allstate Roofing did not...

install Ms [redacted]s roof. We were hired to repair a leak in which we did attempt and then came back to fix again at no charge. We try our best to achieve success on every job that we work on. Some times on these older roofs a second attempt is needed not to the fault of our men who try their best daily. Water has a funny way of traveling sometimes.  My office will be cutting Ms [redacted] a check tomorrow for the cost to repair the stain on her ceiling at her request.  Our conversation was pleasant.  I hope this matter can be closed with no recourse to our company reputation as we strive to make every customer happy when these matters arise on our repair/ service calls.  We greatly value our A+ standing with the Revdex.com.  Regards,  [redacted], President  Allstate Roofing Inc ###-###-#### Office

Customer did sign a contract with us and was notified that there could be additional charges once we showed up to perform the job, such as dry rot repairs or additional layers of roofing that may need to be removed. Once we arrived to start the job we noticed an additional layer. My lead walked...

the roof with the customer and explained to the customer the additional amount that would be charged (change order 1) and the homeowner gave a verbal ok,  his exact words were "yes it will have to be ok". The job is located in Oakland and the office is in Sacramento, so my secretary typed up a change order for the additional tear off and emailed it to the homeowner whom,  never signed and returned it. After tearing off both layers of roofing we discovered the base sheeting wasn't up to code (in which we have no idea until the roof is fully tore off) and that the complete roof would need to be re sheeted with 1/2 OSB plywood. Homeowner informed us he wasn't surprised since he's had to fix numerous other issue to bring his home to code in the past. Secretary again typed up the next change order and emailed it over. The following day our lead [redacted] went and asked to collect the signed change orders and the homeowner at this point stated he didn't feel comfortable singing them although the work had already been done the previous day with his verbal ok. The homeowner told us at that point that he had another company that could come do it cheaper, now that we had the roof tore off. We left that day and our secretary reached out to the homeowner to resolve the issue. The homeowner stated that we were extorting him for money and harassing him. We made many attempts  through email to come out and finish the roof, he would not allow us to. We finally sent him a final invoice for the work we did, the gutters we had made, and our travel time. The homeowner didn't agree with the pricing and refused to pay. After a couple more emails we were able to reach an agreement in the amount of $2060.00 vs the 48879.70. As you can see from my attachment we were only charging him for the work that we did. My secretary spoke to the wife prior to us starting the job and made it very clear that there are certain unforeseen issue that can come up when it comes to roofing, examples, sheeting, additional layers, dry rot. We make all our customers aware of this possibility. Never in my 19 years of business have I had any issues with any of my customers or any complaints filed against me. This customer was clearly looking for something for nothing. We were never harassing the customer we were clearly trying to satisfy the customer and help him understand but the customer became very resistant immediately after we left the job site

Our Service Manager and Fixed Operstions director will be notified of this complaint and will be contacting the customer to resolve the issue immediately.

In response to this complaint, Allstate Roofing had no contractual agreement with Rob Tillitz. After speaking with the owner of the property they gave Allstate Roofing the approval to install a...

T-top flashing to vent a machine in a room. All work has been completed and accepted by the owner.

Griffin Chevrolet is willing to pay this customer the amount of the original estimate of his Fuse Box which was $617.73. With this payment, we ask that he discontinue his defamation of our dealership on social media platforms and to rescind his complaint to the manufacturer as we have rectified the complaint.

Great Company

I was pleased with how quick and smoothly everything went from beginning to end. I would recommend you guys to all my friends and family.

Review: Allstate Roofing replaced our roof in early June 2014 at a cost of $8500.00 with an additional $250.00 paid for additional needed work at the time of installation. The work was completed and we were informed by the representative ([redacted])that we would be receiving a rebate from SMUD if we selected a particular tile which we did. When I sent the rebate request into SMUD, I got a response that SMUD could not honor the rebate request as the "product that was installed does not meet the eligibility requirements of the Cool Roof Program". After Mr. [redacted] was informed he told us that we could get a rebate from a Federal Tax Rebate if we filled out a specific form which we attempted to do, but found that this particular Program expired in 2013. I spoke with Mr. [redacted] on the telepone and he then told me that his company would give a 10% rebate (based on the houses' square footage (approximately 1149 square feet). Several text messages to Mr. [redacted] has been futile though he has promised to either deliver personally or by mail the $149.00 check. To date no check has been received though an excuse was offered each time Mr. [redacted] was approached and he stated that we would soon be receiving the rebate check directly from AllState Roofing. Several telephone calls and texts have been sent and received from the representative all stating he would take care of it. Your assistance would be appreciated.Desired Settlement: Rebate check in the amount of $149.00 provided to complainant from AllState Roofing.

Review: overcharge my senior citizen mother 3+ times the original bid.

My mother received an estimate for approximately $6700 to replace the roof on her rental property. During the replacement she agreed to have a small octogon (approximately 12ft) gazebo reroofed. She paid approximately $15,000 for this and the company called back and wanted and approximate additional $6,000 from her. She has not received a roofing certificate, a work order, or any breakdown of the work ordered. She explained to them this was a rental property and she did not want to invest alot of money into this project and they should keep costs to a minimum.Desired Settlement: The difference between the original $6700 bid and the $15,000 paid.

Business' Initial Response

The lady is from Vegas and wanted a roof on her rental house, so we gave an estimate. When we got into the job we found there was extra work needed. Then she started asking for extra work beyond our contractual obligations. She paid for the change order only. I told her that when we finish with the roof we'll charge you for that at the final. Now she's telling me she hasn't received anything. She has been speaking with her renters regarding issue that needed to be taken care of, and that information was sent to us. All communication went fine until we sent a bill, then we had issues. I got a call from the son stating we're over charging her. Her renters have explained to her our scope of work and time and effort that has gone into this project.

Consumer's Final Response

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)

My mother does not live in Vegas, she lives in Reno. My husband (not her son) spoke with a man about all the charges they were giving my mom and asked the man where the change orders were and how they could do work without a change order. He tried to state they verbal. He also wanted to know where the itemization of work performed was. He stasted he would get these items to her. To date she has not received anythiing. She explained this was a rental property and did not want a big expense. The renters knew they could not authorize any expenses as it is illegal. This company took advantage of a senior citizen on a limited income.

Business Response

Allstate Roofing understands the concerns of the consumer and Revdex.com , and has sent

the consumer a lien release to show our commitment to practicing ethical business behavior. Allstate

Roofing is also sending a letter to the consumer regarding all warranties , to be upheld per

consumer contract with Allstate Roofing.

Response:

Original contract price for this project was for $6,700, and mutually agreed upon additional change order charges of $15,690.00 were incurred for this project for:Dry rot removal and replacementPatio structure (re-built, re-roofed and re-painted)Gutter installationMs. [redacted] had a total project price of $22,390 but only paid $15,690, no liens were placed against her property and client was provided with 10 year warranty per original contract agreement. It is now company policy for Allstate Roofing to received a signed Change Order form completed by each client and for any additional change to the scope of work of the original contract agreement for each of our projects, so that clients have a clear understanding and agreement of the work to be completed and the total costs for all additional work.

Consumer

Response:

I am rejecting this response because: it was not agreed upon that a 10 to 12 foot octagon gazebo be rebuilt for $15,000 +. I do not believe it costs that much new to build one. This was clearly taking advantage of an elderly woman. Gutters do not cost that much either.

Review: I own a small Sports Bar in a small strip mall in Carmichael, CA. The owner of the strip mall hired Allstate Roofing however she lives a hundred miles away and was not around while Allstate replaced the roof on her building. I, however, am there everyday and generally the spokesperson for the other businesses that are owned by foreigners that don't communicate well in English. Allstate showed up one day, completely unannounced, and started demolishing the roof....a horrible inconvenience to all five businesses in the mall. They cross-parked taking up all our parking spaces, banged and vibrated the flat-roofed building to the point one business had a TV fall from it's mount, and terribly inconvenienced everyone. Risks to our customers were great with them blindly throwing roofing material over the side...one person had a windshield broke by them.I was in the process when they arrived of venting an ice machine in my storage room, which involved cutting a hole in the roof. They said they would do it for me: INISISTED they do it. The ice machine replaced a water-cooled machine and puts out a tremendous amount of heat. We used a laser thermometer and measured temperatures over 140 degrees in upper corners of the small room. I needED it vented immediately, however for two months [redacted], Project Manager at Allsate Roofing, strung me along. Meantime my commercial freezer in the room went out from over heating, and the refrigerator has gone wonky. These are expensive ($4,000 range) items to replace, and my beer and other stock suffers. Many times Allstate has promised they would meet me and we'd get the vent put in, but after it appeared like they were done, I emailed the owner with my problems.Today, 1/28/14, in response to the email, Project Manager [redacted] arrived for a meeting to discuss the vent as well as other issues. In so many words he said because I emailed the owner I had nothing coming and spun and walked away putting all the blame on me. Bad man, bad manners, bad company.Desired Settlement: I want the vent installed immediately in the place that it was promised to be installed.

Business

Response:

In response to this complaint, Allstate Roofing had no contractual agreement with Rob Tillitz. After speaking with the owner of the property they gave Allstate Roofing the approval to install a T-top flashing to vent a machine in a room. All work has been completed and accepted by the owner.
