If you are choosing a moving company our advice is: DO NOT pick ALLSTATES MOVING AND STORAGE INC., based in Hallandale Beach, Florida Our experience started positively, but quickly went downhill We provided the sales representative with a detailed list of the items to be moved and we given what we considered a mid-range price for our move from Florida to Pennsylvania On moving day, our movers were polite and loaded up the truck very quickly That's when the problems began and never stopped After the truck was loaded we were informed that the price we had been given was not accurate It is important to note that no additional items had been added The head of the crew told us that our sales representative was no longer with the company because he had been low balling the price in order to close his sales Unfortunately for us, this very unethical company refused to honor the agreed upon price We went back and forth with this man and then finally spoke to the head dispatcher in the home office via phone They would not budge The lead mover threatened us with removal of our belongings from his truck knowing that we had no choice but to go ahead with the move The additional price was 40% of the price quoted by the now fired sales representative Clearly, we had no options as our home had already been sold; we had to pay the additional money The lead mover was rude and belligerent throughout this interaction The person we spoke to on the phone was not much better
Our furniture did not arrive until seven days after the promised date On an almost daily basis we were promised a modate that never happened Somewhere between moving out of our Florida home and arrival in Pennsylvania our belongings were put into storage and later moved into a large moving van It was obvious that these transfers were not handled with any kind of care The same can be said for the actual move into our new homeHeavy boxes were placed on top of boxes clearly marked fragile and contents of some of these boxes were damaged Wood furniture was gauged and scratched in several spots Numerous lamp shades were broken In addition, a tool box filled with tools and two large ladders were missing
The only bright spot in our dealings with employees in this company was a woman who works in the office Unfortunately, we cannot recall her name at this time She tried to provide assistance as we somewhat patiently waited for our belongings to arrive In addition, the two movers other than the team leader were polite and hard workers

NEVER USE THIS COMPANY! Terrible as in non-existant customer service. Costs were three times quote and accepted only cash. I have never had a worse experience with a company. They completely took advantage of a very stressful situation all the while promising to rectify. They never did. Not one of my 50+ calls were ever answered. Never accept quote without eyes on the job, and never deal with company that only accepts cash. Promises to rectify problems never happened No wonder they are not accredited by the Revdex.com.

I moved from North Carolina to California and have had nothing but trouble. The price DOUBLED and I'm now paying over $3,000 to move a studio apartment. I don't even have a kitchen table. Three weeks after securing them, my belongings are being held hostage in Florida. All kinds of extra fees have been added including fees for stairs that don't exist.
I'm sure the price will only increase upon delivery, IF that ever happens. I've now been sleeping on an air mattress and had to purchase so many things I wasn't planning on.
Whatever you do, DON'T HIRE THIS COMPANY. They are absolutely horrific. I don't have enough space to tell you how awful they are.
