Review: In November of 2011 I purchased three (3) bras from Allure Intimate Apparel in Maple Grove for a total of $246.00. Months later I noticed that one of the aforementioned bras was turning green wherever there was metal (in the front of the bra, all clasps in the back, “o” rings on the straps, et cetera) and finally got around to calling the store-of-purchase just a few weeks ago where I spoke with [redacted], she asked me to bring in the bra.

Working full-time and not living nearby, it was difficult to make it to the store as they close at 6PM. That being said, I was just able to make the one-hour trip to the Maple Grove store a few weeks ago where I was met by a new employee. I informed her of what had brought me in; she tried to reach various managers without success, finally receiving a return call from [redacted], the District Manager. When she was through speaking with her on the phone, this associate informed me that all they could do was offer $15.00 off a brand new bra.

While I understand that the bra was purchased at the end of 2011, that is not even two years ago, the problems started well before, and [redacted] had asked me to bring it in given all of that information. For undergarments of this price, I would hope that you'd expect them to last several years. Given the phone conversation, I was under the impression that I would be receiving a brand new bra of this style for an even-exchange, seeing as how this one is clearly defective.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund of the price of the bra, which was $85.00. I feel the store should stand behind their products and take up the defective product with the manufacturer, as that's what reputable businesses do.

This should NOT be my second notice. I responded to the first letter immediately and will send your response if need be. As I stated in my previous response, I communicated with this customer personally. We politely tried to explain that waiting almost two years to discuss a potential problem is an unreasonable amount of time to wait and there's not much we could do for her. We even went above and beyond and offered her a FREE $15 Gift Card to used on anything in the store in good faith. Our written return policy is on the receipt, posted on frames in the fitting rooms, posted at the front desk and placed in the customers bag at point of purchase.
