Allure MedSpa Reviews (7)

Review: I purchased a chemical peel package and now the telephone number does not work and I believe the business has closed. A representative has not contacted me about a refund of the funds that were paid.Desired Settlement: I would like for my money to be returned since the services will not be provided.

Review: On May 16, 2014 I purchased $1275 worth of laser hair removal service which covered multiple areas. The laser hair removal package covered six (6) treatments. After my purchase, I received three treatments. When I called to schedule my fourth treatment in October 2014 I received no answer. I left a message but did not receive a call back. After numerous attempts, I drove to Allure Medspa, located at [redacted] only to find a hand written note taped to the door. The note stated that Allure Medspa “Out of Business” and left a contact number. I called the number listed on the hand written note and found that the number was not to a Allure Medspa representative but to the building property manager. The property manager explained that the company abruptly closed its doors. The property manager also gave me another number to contact for questions regarding Allure Medspa. I called the number and was immediately sent to voicemail. Once again, my messages were not returned.

I drive by the Allure Medspa building frequently and I find it odd that the company’s office is still fully furnished with all marketing material displayed. I am mostly concerned with the files left behind consist of private and sensitive material (i.e. SSN, Credit information, treatment files, etc).

Many of the consumers including myself used Care Credit to finance these treatments and are liable for paying the full balance even though we did not receive all of the contractual treatments.Desired Settlement: The desired settlement must be a partial refund of the total $$637.50. This amount is for the services not rendered.

Review: My mother (age 71) and I entered into separate agreements with the company for a "package" of treatments and had to pay up front for the packages. The company has apparently gone out of business. My "packages" were not completed, and one of my mother's was never initiated. Additionally, my mother had a credit of $650.Desired Settlement: Me: Refund of the value of the treatments that were not rendered (2 treatments x 2 separate pkgs).

My Mother: Refund of the value of the treatments that were not rendered.(Entire package/ paid $900) plus her credit of $650. (total $1550)

Review: I purchased a service for a facial treatment that was supposed to cause some peeling and exfoliation of sundamage on my face and neck. I had had the treatment performed at a different health spa with excellent results. But when I went into Allure and explained how excited I was to get another treatment and what fantastic results I had received elsewhere, I expected to get the same or similar results from Allure. That is not the case. I had no "peppering" of the spots, no peeling, no change in the color of the spots. The treatment costs about 150.00 for 45 minutes and I had purchased their package of 4 treatments for 600.00. I called to explain the results to the Nurse who performed the service and explained that I expected to see some similar results and had NO change in my complexion. I requested a complimentary do-over. She talked to the office manager who declined. I sent them an email explaining that I had spent a significant amount of money at their business and I did expect to see some results, maybe not as good as [redacted], but I did expect to see some change,. It is just too much money to waste and not see any improvement .Desired Settlement: I would like Allure to do a full refund of the amount for the package of 4 treatments so that I can take my business to another establishment,.

Re; [redacted]

Client received [redacted] on October 12, 2013. Client contacted Allure MedSpa on Oc:tober 14, 2013 to express concerns about this treatment. Client was asked by staff member to come Into office for an evaluation with either our nurse practitioner or our medical director so we could document her concerns and take pictures for her medical record. Client refused to come in for thiS evaluation. Client then spoke with our nurse practitioner by phone on October 17 to again express concerns about the treatment done on October 12. Our nurse practitioner milde her aware that her first treatment was a baseline treatment and was performed at a conservative setting to avoid anv adverse effects. Client was made aware that each treatment.'s settings will increase based on previous results. Client still has three (3) treatments r~rmtlnlng out of the package of four (4) that was purchased on September 24, 2013. Client requested a "re-do" of this treatment but based on treatment senings for this laser, the client was treated approprlatelv iltld effectively.

Client was contacted by manager via telephone on October 21, 2013, and client expressed concerns about prior treatment done with [redacted] Client stated that the settings at [redacted] had burned her skin, and she II/ooked like hell for three days". While the client had originally made us aware of this previous reaction, we were not provided treatment settings from her medical record from [redacted] Client was tnen reassured that was the reason Allure MedSpa began her treatments with a conservative setting to avoid a possible repeat reaction,

Client originally signed Payment for Services form on September 24, 2013 regarding our credit and refund policy. All treatment consents and general consents were signed and completed on this day as well.

If you need any further Information please contact me at [redacted]. Thank you.

Review: Allure Medspa (aka [redacted]). I have been to many spas/doctors for face rejunivation packages. This practice is more about the $ amount sold…more into pushing packages. This operation is the worse when it comes to truly doing what is best for the patient.

1st Review: They sold me the [redacted] (radio frequency) claiming it will tighten my face and I would be able to avoid a face lift. This procedure took the fat out of my cheeks. I have been waiting for almost a year for my cheeks to bounce back, but a month ago was told by [redacted] that this is permanent damage. My cheeks were my best facial feature (many compliments during lifetime) and now my skin sags and my eyes look weird because I do not have the fat structure to support my face. I will be seeing a plastic surgeon to see if my cheeks can be rebuilt.

2nd Review: Their sales person sold me several other different packages in the past two years convincing me these packages could be interchanged with other packages and there is no time limit since there was no way I could use these packages in 1 year. The manager informed me a month ago that I will need to forfeit my two remaining packages because there is a time limit and they cannot be traded out for another package.Desired Settlement: I would like to be refunded and cheeks repaired to its natural state

Response:

Dear [redacted],

We received the above referenced complaint today regarding [redacted]. In the complaint [redacted] claims that the [redacted] removed fat from her cheeks. The [redacted] does not remove fat. The [redacted] is FDA approved for skin tightening only.

[redacted] also claims that we told her that she needed to forfeit her remaining treatments and this is simply not true. Per the sales agreement that [redacted] signed, all treatments must be used within one year of the purchase date.

Review: I received an appointment confirmation email from Allure on the morning of 27SEP14 and immediately called to reschedule and have done so subsequently every few days. I have also attempted to reach them on their website, but the site has been down since then as well. I have emailed as well with no response. When I call, the phone just rings and never goes to voicemail. It's as if the company dissappeared overnight. I prepaid for tattoo removal services, and currently have two tattoo removal sessions outstanding.Desired Settlement: I would like to be contacted by the company in order to either receive the services I have already paid for, or receive a refund for those services.

Review: I paid $325 for laser hair removal treatments. I only received two treatments out of 5 or 6. I have been calling the business to reschedule my appointment but there is no answer at the business. I have done research and found out that it is out of business. I cannot get a hold of anyone regarding getting a refund for treatments not received.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund for the treatments not received.
