June 17th 2018 - Air conditioning unit first breaks and a service request is filed with American HomeShield warranty insurance.
June 19th 2018 - Ally repairmen arrive at my house for first time to look at the broken air conditioner and assess the problem. Afterwards they put in a request to HomeShield to order a new compressor for the air conditioning unit.
July 3rd 2018 - After I have gone over 2 weeks with no air conditioning in my home at all, Ally finally gets new compressor and installs it on my air conditioning unit.
August 13th 2018 - Ever since the first repair, my air conditioning unit does not work nearly as well as it did before it broke down originally and had the new compressor put in. The unit freezes over a lot and it needs the fuse in the breaker box reset multiple times a day to start running again. I file another repair service request with HomeShield. They insist on sending the people from Ally back to my house despite my request for HomeShield to send a different repair company because the previous work Ally had done on my air conditioner and the length of time that it took for Ally to make the repair was so unsatisfactory.
August 14th 2018 - Ally arrives for a second visit to assess the problem with my air conditioner. Afterwards I was told that some pipe was getting clogged up and that's why the air conditioner was not working as well as it should be. Ally said they couldn’t do anything about it until they made a report to HomeShield.
August 20th 2018 - I was told that HomeShield will not cover the repair this time. Ally says they can make the necessary repair on it for $555.
August 22nd 2018 - Ally comes in and out of my house for over 2 hours as they work on repairing my air conditioning unit again. They say that the air conditioner is repaired and they double check the thermostat before they leave to make sure it it set correctly. They also leave a big mess in my hallway that includes pieces of metal stuck on my hardwood floor and my floor was scratched after I cleaned up the mess they left. 3 hours after they left, during which time I never touched the air conditioner or thermostat, I notice that the air conditioner is now freezing over moreso than it ever has before.
August 23rd 2018 - Called Ally again because the air conditioner is freezing over much more easily and much more often than ever before since they last worked on the unit. I was told that someone from Ally would be over to my house to work on it again on August 27th 2018.
August 27th 2018 - Ally calls me and says that they are understaffed that day and can’t come out to my house to look at my air conditioning unit that day but insist that they will send someone over during the day to put more refrigerant in the unit to help it work and keep it from freezing over so easily. No one ever shows up at my house to add refrigerant to my air conditioning unit.
Ally now says they will send someone over on August 29th 2018.
This customer is a home warranty customer and had her compressor go out which was ordered thru her home warranty for parts and replacement. It took her warranty company over 3 weeks to deliver her parts which we scheduled expedited her compressor replacement with her same day it arrived due to the circumstances. We have not heard from this customer for over 6 weeks then her system starts freezing up. We went and cleaned her evaporator coil and noticed the system was still freezing up from a bad Freon circuit in the evaporator coil, so we ordered to replace it thru her home warranty company. Not only did we order thru the warranty we also did not charge the 555.00 to clean the coil due to the fact it did not fix the problem. We have scheduled for 08/29/2018 8-10 to return to replace the evaporator coil and the claim was approved by her home warranty company.
