Review: I sent my 27 year old daughter to this store to have her friend's jacket fixed. She requested new jacket lapels. [redacted], the owner, of store quoted her $150. My daughter supplied all the material so basic[redacted] it was labor. When my daughter picked up the jacket, the lapels were not stitched the way origin[redacted] agreed upon. When she asked the proprietor why, [redacted] said that was what she wanted. My daughter said that waan't what they discussed. My daughter then asked for the jacket and remaining material and the woman had the audacity to tell her she threw away what was left. Clearly, she saw a young, naive girl she could take for a ride. She then proceeded to charge my daughter $150 and would only take cash. My daughter paid with cash or she wouldn't relinquish the jacket and when she asked for a receipt, [redacted] said that would be an extra $10. When my daughter told me about all this, I was VERY, VERY angry. How could a business owner do something like this to any customer. Who charges for a receipt? Who doesn't complete a job properly? Who "throws away" someone's property without authorization? I was so upset by all this and that someone could take such advantage of an unexperienced tailoring sale, I then proceeded to the store myself and confronted the owner. Before she knew who I was, I entered as a customer, and she began her nice sales pitch. When I then started asking her questions, I could see her getting very nervous. I walked out of the store and told her I was reporting her to anyone and everyone I could think of. She shouldn't be allowed to do this to ANYONE. My next step to to take this to my town hall so they will know what type of business owners they have in town...disgusting!Desired Settlement: I would like partial refund along with a receipt. Any and all stores I have ever shopped at give you a receipt for services rendered. I understand she did the lapels, but clearly the way she wanted and NOT what was discussed so she should be compensated for something. Also, for the material she said "she threw away". She should be responsible for returning any unused material for which the customer paid for separately.

Response:

Thank you for taking the time to notify us of an unsatisfactory experience you have heard of our workmanship on an exisiting product and/or service.

Based on the evaluation of the information provided we are unable to provide details of the transaction and/or proposed resolution due to consumer privacy concerns, as name of the complainant does not belong to the customer who has initiated and finalized the purchase of service with our company.

However please note the following;

~ Our store policy is to issue an invoice for all products sold and services rendered.

there was only a hesitation by the store manager whether or not a sales tax should have been charged since the fabric for the addition was supplied by the customer. According to our research it was not the case and the invoice was issued to the name given us for the agreed amount of 150.00 The material supplied was just enough to make the required work.

~upon deliver of the finished garment the client had no complaints to us about the quality of the work done. We recommend that the purchaser of goods sold to contact us direct to discuss the details of the complaint by showing us the supplied garment.

~ We have every desire to address the needs and provide the best solution available to resolve the issue as soon as possible.

Response:

[redacted]

I am rejecting this response because:

This response is a general response from the store owner who does not even speak English properly so this was prepared by someone else. Clearly she does not understand her own policy about issuing a receipt for services rendered, but wanting to charge a young girl $10.00 for said receipt. This alone is tot[redacted] unprofessional and disgusting to me. She doesn't deserve the business of anyone in our town. I will be sure to tell anyone and everyone exactly how she treats customers. (Note: Not everyone as as "naive" or "stupid" as she thinks.) I'm sure she's enjoying and laughing at my daughter's hard earned $150 that she pretty much robbed from her. My apoligies to the Revdex.com, but yes, this is bitter for me. I'm sure if this was the owner's daughter or family member, she would be just as upset.

On a second note, I DO NOT appreciate her calling another business in town and telling them only her side of the story. If she's going to slander, then she should be prepared for legal action.

By the way, what exactly is my next step for getting a receipt because clearly the greedy and disgusting owner is keeping the money that she pretty much stole!

Regards,
