Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because the issue has not been resolved. I am still waiting for a representative from the concrete company to contact me to set up an appointment to look at the concrete. In conclusion, there has been no resolution as of yet even though I am hopeful that things are moving in that direction

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because: I sent the pictures a week ago and only got a message stating they received the pictures. I wwas notified about the knee surgery. They have to have more than one person who can fix cracks and a chip. I want it repalced ASAP since I first notified them in March of 2014.
Regards,
[redacted]

A representative from Almand Brothers went...

out to the customers house to look at the problem. We contacted the concrete company to have one of their representatives go out and look at the issue. Once I have an answer from them I will contact Ms. [redacted].

Almand Brothers did receive a phone call from Mr. [redacted]. I spoke to him on the phone and asked that he send pictures of the concrete that he has...

the complaint about. When I spoke with him I informed him that [redacted] is out of the office due to full knee replacement surgery and once he got back to work I would have [redacted] go out and look at his property. I did receive the pictures and informed Mr. [redacted] of same.

Almand Brothers went out to the property and were going to do the repairs. We did not do the repairs that day, we were going to go back but the [redacted]'s do not want us back at their property. [redacted] Almand wants to stand by his work and wants to repair the concrete. Once spring arrives [redacted] will go out there personally and have the repairs done.

Almand Brothers sent Mr. [redacted] a letter...

stating we would caulk the area needed and replace the concrete when we were in the area. We will do the repairs before July 31, 2014 (weather permitted)

[redacted] 1/11/2015 - We accept the proposal to fix both the concrete and the caulking that was referneced in our original complaint. We are also requesting that we receive 2 weeks notice prior to the repair being done and that we be home at the time of the repair.

Review: They poured a new concrete driveway and walkway in Nov of 2013. There is a crack in a relief line in the driveway and a chip on the edge of the walkway. I have e-mailed 2 times and called 2 times and left messages and I have gotten no response.Desired Settlement: To fix crack and chip.

Review: On November 22, 2013 (pursuant to an order dated 9/27/13), Almand Brothers replaced and installed 2 concrete steps (non-adjacent) near our front door and the sidewalk leading to that area from the garage. Additionally, the contract called for a special type of caulk to be installed in the gap between the 2 garage doors and the driveway. We paid in full that day for all work. That same day, after the job was completed, we immediately called the office to complain that the driveway caulking was poorly done. Office staff stated the owner, [redacted], would call us to discuss. No callback was received. On January 19, 2014, we were prompted to write an email to request a response to our initial complaint and to report several cracks in one section of the sidewalk (those cracks have now become missing concrete). We requested warranty service and specifically to hear directly from [redacted]. Pictures were sent with the email. On February 19, 2014 we received an email from the office staff stating our January email had been passed to [redacted] and he would be out in the Spring. Not having heard anything, we sent another email on April 14, 2014 asking for a repair date. No response received. We wrote another email on May 20, 2014 after receiving no response to our phone call the prior week. We warned of our intent to file complaints with Revdex.com and NJ Consumer Affairs. A subsequent phone call to us scheduled an appointment with [redacted] on May 27, 2014 at 1:00PM. That appointment was not kept by him - instead at 11 AM that day, we found his business card in between our front doors. Nothing was written. No attempt was made to speak with us, i.e. no knock or door bell rung. We called the office that same day to report our extreme dissatisfaction not only with the work done but also with our ignored requests for replacement/repair and the unprofessional behavior of the owner. We requested an immediate response - to date we have received none.Desired Settlement: At a mutually agreeable date and time, to occur no later than July 31, 2014, Almand Brothers must perform a complete and sound replacement of the concrete section and driveway caulk. The weather conditions must be ideal for this type of work to occur and we reserve the right to postpone if not.The full warranty should be extended another year. Otherwise, Almand Brothers must issue a complete refund of the full contract price to be received by us no later than July 31, 2014.

Review: Last summer Almand Brothers installed a $10,000 patio in our backyard. This summer I noticed small divots of chipped concrete on the patio. I called Almand Brothers three times over the course of the summer. It is now almost labor day and not one of my phone calls has been returned. I have other concrete areas on our property that is over 15 years old and I do not see the same type of divots. I have a grave concern that this concrete will not last very long.Desired Settlement: I am not sure why this is happening or how it can be fixed but Almand Brothers need to stand behind their work and either fix or replace the patio in a fashion that is going to last for as long as a concrete patio is expected to. After one year I should not see this type of wear and tear.
