Almeida Roofing Reviews (3)

First of all, there IS cant strip at the wallsJust because you cannot see it, does not mean that it is not thereYou'd have to cut the roof open to make that statement. The parapet wall is very short...and there are several ways to seal kickers at the wall, not just with a flashing. We have seen microbursts remove parts of roofs, and set an entire section onto a different part of the roofI never said that I'd never seen that before--I in fact stated that it is wind damage. The estimate that was given was because the customer asked for an estimate for a coating...I told her I'd fix that crease while there for the coating

A inch cant strip is requiredAt many places on the roof there is simply no room for the cant strip as the roofing material makes a sharp degree turnIn other places where there is room for the cant strip (if is there at all) the roofing material bridges the cant strip rendering the cant strip useless as it does not support the roofThe roofing material is currently held to the side walls by three coursingThe GAF technical guide specifically states that this is insufficient and not a substitute for proper fasteningBase flashing is still required and was never installed on the roof and crickets are required and were never installedThe poor workmanship on my roof is causing it to failThe area of the roof with the large creased ripple needs to be replacedWhen this is replaced it will reveal the cant strip if they are present or notIf they are there, the roofing material must be adhered to them to make them functionalIf they are not there they need to be installedWind damage is a convenient excuse but not plausibleThere was a inch gap where the roof pulled away from the three coursing fabricNothing was torn as wind would have to do in order to lift a foot section of the roof in order to create a rippleNo other part of the roof was damaged, no trees or branches were lost and the shingles on a nearby shed were undamagedMy initial concerns stand Thank you for the informationIt is clear to me that Almeida Roofing is a very dishonest company and that they have zero interest in cooperating with any type of resolutionCertainly a $maximum judgement, that I will have to fight them in court to receive, would not be worth anyone’s time or effortIf I were to use the courts, it would be in my best interest to sue for the entire cost of a new roofThe quality of their workmanship is blatantly substandard to anyone that is familiar with the roofing systemThey do not stand behind this substandard work and skirt their own warranty by claiming wind damageOne could easily argue that THEY are responsible for their roofs being damaged by the wind because they improperly install the roof systemIn my case, there is no wind damage and yet that is still their claim. In my opinion, this company should not be a registered contractor nor a member of the Revdex.com, as they are incompetent and dishonestThey will continue to prey on homeowners for as long as they canThey cater to residents of Sun City as indicated on their websiteThis is a very vulnerable segment of our society and should be protected not exploited as I am sure Almeida is doingI hope the Revdex.com will consider bringing down Almeida’s grade substantially to more clearly reflect the dishonesty of this company and perhaps spare another homeowner from making the same mistake that I did by trusting and hiring them.I will not be pursuing arbitration and my complaint should be considered unresolved to my satisfaction.Thank you, [redacted]

[A default letter is provided here which indicates your acceptance of the business's response If you wish, you may update it before sending it.] RevDex.com: I have accepted June 19th as a day for Almeida to come by and surveil the previously identified areas of concern If they choose to complete the repairs to my satisfaction, I will consider the matter closed Regards, Laurel W***
