We propose topping off the existing fill in the block at the rear patio with your choice of 5/minus gravel or Pea gravel, but need the choice in writing. Then we will complete the front concrete per the contract. The pergola (arbor) was added verbally after the contract was signed, so if you would like that still we would need a separate contract for it which we could bring the day we build it. Payment for the completed project would be due at the time of completion. At no time can any of our employees or representatives be yelled at or swore at or they will leave and the job will be considered complete. If this sounds reasonable we can complete this early next week

On 7/6 complainant was called by Steffany (Office manager)  She had screamed at Steffany to the point that she was asked to stop swearing and that we could continue the conversation.  She did not and continued to scream and curse at my employee. When John did come out on 7/13 he came with...

the contract and did show her that we did complete the patio per the contract.  Contract shows approx 5x20 but her property in that area is not 5ft so we did 4x25 which is the same amount of square footage.  We did offer to quote to add more to the patio, at which time she escalated again.  Complainant does have a garage, it is a building with a garage door and a drive way up to it.  Because she does not use the garage as a garage, she does not call it that.  However, the contract that she signed did say garage.  When this was mentioned, she grabbed the contract from John, crumpled it up, and threw it in the bushes stating "I don't care what it says on the contract". As for the fence on the markers, we did build the fence on the markers that the home owner provided.  We also set the posts and then a week later came back and built the fence.  At no time between the fence posts being set and the fence being built did she mention that it was in the wrong space. The patio was filled with gravel per the contract but had settled.  We offered to come back and fill the spaces which she has yet to allow us to do.John did not, at any time, storm off.  He asked complainant several times to not curse and scream at him but she continued to do so.  Threatening him with "If you want to [redacted] me I'm going to [redacted] you better" and "I'm going to complain to anyone that will listen".  As John asked again for her to stop screaming and that they were trying to have a conversation and resolve this, he said that if she does not, the conversation will be over.  She continued so John walked away.  She followed John all the way to his truck screaming "If I want to scream at you I'm going to scream at you".  John called [redacted] (writing this) and said we will not be back to her house because we will not have our employees treated like this (she had now screamed and swore at 2 employees) so remove the part of the contract to pour a new walk way to the front which was quoted at $1,800 and send her an invoice which was sent on 7/13 at 12:32pm, immediately after their conversation.  Complainant replied on 7/12 that we had not finished our work and stated "my patio is to have a top layer, my choice crushed or pea gravel per contract".  I replied on 7/13 advising we would be happy to come out and add move gravel to the patio and asked if she would prefer crushed or pea gravel.  On 7/16 I followed up with her since I had not heard back stating that we could come out the following week and finish.  On 7/19 I followed up, yet again, as I still had not heard back.  Contracted amount was $12,800, tax of $1,318.40 (10.3% based on Washington State DOR sales tax look up) with a total of $14.118.40.  The amount of the walk way that we removed from the contract is $1,800 which brought the taxable total to $11,000.  Subtotal on final invoice sent to customer on 7/13 was $11,000 tax $1,133 (11,000x10.3%) leaving a total due after deposit (7060 deposit) of $5073.00.  I verified the tax rate and totals before I sent the invoice so that she did not have anything to come back on that we were trying to take money from her.We are still willing to come and fill the patio pavers with gravel, she just needs to tell us what she wants us to do and we will come finish that part of the contract.
