Review: We purchased a used dryer from Almonte Appliances, we figured we would try to give some business to the smaller mom and pops stores, we got the dryer home plugged it in and started laundry just to find out that the dry ran however it would not heat and dry the cloths. I called them up and explained what was going on and was informed that she was not sure what time the repair tech would be in and that they would call me as soon as he did and let me know when they would be over. I never heard back so I called later in the afternoon. Same woman answered the phone, she said I know your waiting and he has not come in, we can't get in touch with him and I don't have answers for you. So I waiting and waiting and I called back the next day and was told the same line. I called later in the afternoon around 3:45 and asked what was going on and was informed that he got lost and now I would have to wait yet another day. At this point I am not happy, so my husband called and was informed that since we did not pay extra for delivery we would have to put it back in our truck, take it back over to the store and they would have another used dryer ready for us to take. Talk about bad customer service. We did just as requested and brought another used dryer home. The dryer worked great... for about 1 week, and guess what now the darn thing will not even turn on. So I told my husband to start calling them, we were told someone would be out on 12/8/14, guess what we waiting and called off and on for a week and no call no show so we paid the store a visit on Saturday to find out what was going on and when they were coming out to fix the dryer, we were told that they would call by 2:00 Saturday 12/13 and if not then they would be there Monday 12/15, haaaa, nobody came, we went back to the store, the owner refuses to talk to you and hides behind his one and only employee, he lies to her and says her came out to the house but nobody came out, we have been at the house waiting for days. We are still waiting.Desired Settlement: At this point I do not think this company is smart enough to fix anything let alone run a business and they can take their dryer that for the second time now does not work and they can refund me my $200.00 back. The warranty means nothing if you do not hold true to your end of the bargain and promise what you preach. In my opinion this company should be investigated and you need to find out why the sell merchandise that is broken down and why they have repair men who can't fix a thing.

Review: I bought a refrigerator on October. The seller insisted I was buying an excellent product and after convincing me, I ended buying it. The product wasn't broken at all and it looked in perfect conditions. I paid cash $744.00. The refrigerator was delivered home on 10/3/2014. A week after it started to fail. I lost all food at this time, including my baby's milk. A technician came home and after 2-3 hours and taking off the doors he supposedly fixed it. A week later I called them again because the light was blinking and it was not working at all and again I had to waste all my food, which I informed them and never refunded any. On November 3rd, I called them again to come to check the refrigerator and the technician came on November 4th and told me he would take it to the shop to deeply check it. He brought another fridge until mine would be fixed. After a week of no hearing anything from them, I decided to call to find out what's going on. The secretary told me they were working on it and they would call me very soon which never happened. I called them back and the secretary put the technician on the phone for me and he told me they had received a bunch of good refrigerators and that I could choose one of them. I agreed and assumed the one I bought was not good at all because they were giving me options. On November 14 I called back to make an appointment to choose another refrigerator, the secretary told me the guy was not there and that I could go there in the morning by 10 am. On November 15th. I called the business to make sure the guy was there. In fact, he was. I went. He was showing me some refrigerators in order I can choose. He also offered me an extended guarantee on any I select. Finally, and after I did a search on [redacted], I decided to get another one. An hour after the secretary called me to inform me that ref was already sold. She said I'd take the old. I said no. The GM called me to make me take the old. He said I should and hang up. I went there. He yielded he had the law on him.Desired Settlement: I just want a good product and as I told him I am willing to have any agreement but not to take the defected refrigerator back because I do not want problems at home. If it had problems while on guarantee, I cannot imagine how much money I'd spend on it after. If He wants to try another one with the 3 months I was told, it is OK for me. If not I need money back. It is unfair to buy an appliance and after 3 times failing I cannot get my money back or at least a replacement. He just laughed on me.

Review: On July 28, I purchases a refrigerator from Ramone A[redacted] for $800. At the time he was given a check for the payment. He later told me that the check did not work and would need another form of payment. I then paid him over the phone with a credit card. He told me he would dispose of the check. His workers came to deliver the fridge that evening and were advised to use a specific doorway. They were also informed that the doors of the refrigerator would have to be removed to enter the house without damages. The employees were trying to jam and squeeze the refrigerator through the doorway that was not recommended without taking the doors off. They were unable to complete the task and left the refrigerator on the front door steps overnight. They arrived the next day and asked to use my tools (socket set, screwdrivers). They then proceeded to take the doors off. The refrigerator then got stuck in the hallway (also why that doorway was not recommended but they were persistent that it would work fine and that they do this all the time). Finally, they removed my old stainless steel refrigerator (which was part of the deal that they could have this), and put the fridge in its location in the kitchen. When they were leaving I ask if they left my socket set where I put it for them to use. The employee replied, YES. Once the workers left, I realized there was a large hole ripped in my linoleum floor, 3 holes in the drywall in the hallway, and all the weather stripping damaged on the doorjambs. There are also dents in the fridge from trying to squeeze it through the doorway without taking the doors off initially. They also STOLE MY TOOLS. I immediately called them and sent pictures of the damages. The tools were not returned and I was not refunded any money for the damages. I then proceeded to call my credit card company. to report the damages. They decided to begin a dispute on the charges even though he had already been paid. Ramone returned one phone call and said, "i got a good deal." I then decided I would not have contact with him and let my credit card company deal with the dispute. On 9/17/15 I received a call from Ramone. It was difficult for me to understand as his english is not clear. He was upset because the credit card company was coming after him for the refund. He then told me that he had cashed my check from July (which he told me he disposed of). He was paid TWICE for the fridge. The dispute between the credit card company is ongoing at this time.Desired Settlement: I want my $800 stolen from the bank returned to me. I have an estimate from a construction company for $1200 to repair the damages. I believe that the damages to my home, as well as my stolen tools and the damage to the fridge is worth over $800. I am willing to settle for just the $800 and not for the extra $400 in damages.

Review: On May 26th, my husband bought a dryer from Almonte Appliances. He brought it home and it did not work. I called and called and finally they came two days later with another dryer that also did not work. They tried to tell me that their dryers are supposed to stop in the middle of a cycle. I argued with them and lost my temper. I asked for a refund (we paid ($200.00) and for them to take the second dryer back. They refused. They also did not give my husband a receipt. They keep saying that they will take care of it but do not answer my phone calls and will not come back and take the second bad dryer back. I am at a loss as to what to do.Desired Settlement: I would like the $200.00 back and they can have their dryer back.

Review: We purchased a washer from Giant Appliance. We got it home, it leaked everywhere even when not in use. Our clothes once washed were greasy and smelled of oil, we had to wash clothes 2 times in hot water to get grease and smell out of the clothes. When I called the store to complain, they told me they wouldn't take the washer back for a refund but would send out an appliance tech. Friday 2/14/14 the tech was scheduled to come to the house at 5pm. At 5:30 I called the store because no one showed up and I hadn't recieved a call. The tech called me back to tell me he would be there Saturday 2/15/14 by 5pm. Again I waited until 5:30 and called the store again. They cancelled services due to weather and I recieved no notification. Being very frustrated, I told them that I am returning the washer and I expect a full refund. In the meantime my husband also called the store to talk to the owner about a refund. Both times my husband called the owner wasn't there and they said he would have him call us. The owner never returned our calls. We put the washer in our truck due to all the leaking all over our floor. On the Wed. 2/19/14, my husband went to the store to return the washer and because the owner wasn't there they turned him away. Again my husband left his phone number for the owner to call him. He agian never called. My husband called back to store and was told he could bring the washer back on Friday 2/21/14. ANd tehy would mail a check to us for the returned washer. Now we paid for this washer with a credit card. Which all seems very strange to me. Today is the day we are returning the washer. I hope they are honest enough to send us our money back, but with all that has happened I am doubtful.Desired Settlement: I would like help in the matter of having my money refunded to me at the amount of 478.57, which is what was charged to my credit card. I have the reciept as well as my credit card statement.

Review: bought a refridgerator, one weel later it stopped working, called the business, they came out a week later, said it was fixed, once again, called them, came out3days later, said it was fixed,it was never fixed, then we called them a 3rd time said they had to order a part, waited a week, never ordered the part,we through out 100.00 worth of food.called to tell them, they said they'll take a part out of another one, come get it we can put it in.unacceptable, they hung up on us,now iam filing a complaint with no referidgerator, please help with this matter.thank you[redacted].Desired Settlement: WANT THE PIECE PUT IN THEY SUPPOSINGLEY,ORDERED,ITS NOT EASY GETTING THE REFRIDERATOR IN AND OUT,IT TOOK 3 HOURS GETTING THE REFRIDGERATOR IN THE HOUSE,VEREY FRUSTRATING,THEY WONT DO ANYTHING TO SOLVE THIS MATTER,NOT EVEN ANSWER CALLS.

Review: [redacted] from Giant Appliances posted a DCS stove on [redacted], stating that there was nothing wrong with it aside from two missing knobs and a missing switch for the convention. I arranged to come from Long Island to his store because he also told me that he would give me the Giant Appliance store warranty as well as the manufacturers warranty. He also said that the stove was fairly new and that it had only been used for less than six months. I saw a picture of it and liked what I saw and heard, therefore I decided to take the trip and spend alot of money. My husband and I also took off from work and arranged for sitters for our three kids. When we picked it up, he had it wrapped in seran wrap for us already. When we finally unwrapped the stove, at home, we discovered that one of the doors was completely broken. I had been calling him since I picked up the DCS stove about this one problem and he never returned my calls. At the time that we first got the stove, we only had oil in our home and were in the process of converting to gas, so we never knew if anything else was wrong with this stove. For over two month I called his store and cell number that he gave me, left tons of messages on machines and to his employees, emailed and facebook messages him, but never got a response from him. Also, when he was at the store and I said I would wait on the line for him, he had repeatedly hung up on me when I waited on your store line. This worried me because if he wouldn't call back for a broken door, I knew there would be other problems. I had a technician come and he told me that there is a gas leak, the stove has salt water damage and rust, needs a new spark module, new hinges, and more things wrong with it! I already so much money on he stove, spent traveling money, loss of employment money, sitter money, I purchased the new knobs and switch, and paid for the technician to come and diagnose all the problems wrong. I was very patient with him, but can no longer be.Desired Settlement: I want a refund of the $1700 I paid for the stove.

Review: I bought a [redacted] refrigerator the seller insisted I buy, he assured me it was NOT used at all and it was brand new. The reason he had it was because the person that sold it to him had "changed their mind". To me it looked brand new it had the manual inside of the fridge, the water filter was just replaced so trusting the seller, I bought it. I was very satisfied for two months, until one point the fridge was leaking water, turns out the bottom tray was cracked so I replaced it. It was easy to replace and the replacement part was readily for purchase at a [redacted].com website. It was a minor issue so I went on happily with my fridge. A couple of weeks later it failed to refrigerate well so I called the business and he sent a technician over. The technician took the refrigerator apart and it he fixed it! A week later it failed to work well again. I called the business, he sent a technician again, again he fixed it. A couple of days later I called the business again because at this point I was furious. The refrigerator again didn't work and I wanted my money back. I failed to mention the fridge is infested with cockroaches! Never had these in my house, they get inside the fridge itself. The manager at this point said he couldn't help me because the appliance only had a 90 day warranty. Besides paying extra every time the technician came to "fix" the issue I had to buy ANOTHER refrigerator. So I took it upon myself to call a technician from another company, he told me the fridge had a problem with the air system which is why the freezer overworked itself and the fridge wasn't cold enough. I called the business from where I bought it and I asked if he could do something about this situation. He sold me a refrigerator that had broken four times in 99 days. Because I had called another company to fix it he could no longer send me a technician from their own business. I didn't want a technician I wanted my money back for a fridge that I bought it March and failed in April,May, June, and July.Desired Settlement: I just want my money back. It is unfair to go into a business trusting their claims about great quality appliances and getting an appliance that has brought cockroaches into my home and failed to work. Besides losing money on an appliance I had food go to waste because of spoilage (failure of temp) and because I found a roach inside of my left over pasta and at another time one in the bread. Its disgusting. People cannot go there and trust I want the consumer to know what kind of business it is.

Please excuse how late this is I had to get it translated

[redacted] bought a refurbished used refrigerator in excellent shape and with a 90 day warranty provided by us with a CT licensed technician she then called us to tell us that she was having problems that we sent our technician and got resolved later she called while still in warranty and we scheduled another technician visit that she opted to cancel and let "her husbands friend" resolve her problem instead of our licensed technician under our warranty after the warranty had expired she called once more explaining that she still had problems after her husbands friend had taken the refrigerator apart and was unable to repair it asking us to repair her refrigerator once more we explained that she not only canceled our tech's visit to have an inexperienced person work on her refrigerator but also waited until the warranty period had expired to try and get us to repair the unit free of charge or under warranty we told her we would gladly repair it but that she would be responsible for the cost she got upset and demanded that we refunded her the money witch we cant do as the refrigerator is out of warranty and we have an all sales are final policy she then started cursing and harassing by the phone so we opted to not answer her any longer
