My daughter started daycare at this facility sept Since the cab driver who pickes her up from school has lacked picking her up once, I went to the facility the next day to make them aware and I was treated very disrespectfully as evidence by the retaliation (staff member *** yelled and screamed about my concern which wasn't addressedThe owner *** *** came out of her office staff member *** was yelling so loudly and was calmer *** *** however non chalant about *** behaviorAny other incidents occurred in sept when I called the facility to check on my daughter and I was told by a teacher in the infant room that my hold wasn't there when asked where is she the staff member responded "I don't know" I made the facilty aware and every since my family has been treated disrespecfullyMy daughter told me that *** yelled at her (unacceptable) Last week I sent a verified letter stating my daughter two weeks notice per there policyI would not recommend this facility for the safety of children were aboutsPer Almost home academy policy they are suppose to know were each child is and if the child doesn't show up to the facility they are suppose to contact the parentI never received a phone callI have also contacts the wisconsin licensing office regarding this matter

According to the complaint the person had said that they
received the packets. One is the registration packet and the other is the
policy guide. In our policy, on pages three and four, under enrollment, it
states that the...
registration fee is a non-fundable fee. This fee is taken from
the parent to hold a spot when it becomes available. The parent filled out the
forms and brought them to us, part of that is a form that states they have read
and understand the policy guide. We emphasize to any perspective parent that
the fee is nonrefundable but they will be put on the waiting list for the next
opening if this is what they choose to do. We have parents that do this often.
They put their child in another center until the spot is available. This could
be up to six months waiting period. The difference of time was from the end of
February and the check was cashed in June.
After researching the issue I found out that the director
did call her back leaving a message to let her know that we did not have an
immediate spot available and asked if she wanted to come get the check or leave
it for a hold. The parent never returned the phone call. When the director
asked me what to do with the check, I asked what happen. She explained and I
told her to go ahead and put the check in for those two reasons, it is
nonrefundable and the possibility of her wanting the spot when it becomes
available. The parent mentioned that she thought school ended, we are a year
round child care center and keep parents on the list until a spot is available.
She even said admitted to that fact in her letter that it is what she thought
had happened.
This seems more of a lack of communication, we called and the
parent and she never responded to let us know one way or the other what she
intended to do. We will refund the amount of the check for parent.
