Almost Home Day Care

Review: I enrolled my daughter in the Almost Home Day Care for care to start on September 2, 2014. I texted the owner with the days/dates I would need childcare for September, which were September 2, 3, 4, 23, 24, 25, 30 and October 2, 2014. On the date my daughter started day care, I prepaid the day care $168.00 in order to receive a discount of $1 per day. My daughter went to day care on September 2nd and 3rd. When I picked her up on September 3rd, she was ill. I texted the owner, [redacted] on September 3rd at 5:14PM to cancel my daughter for September 4th. As per [redacted]'s policy as long as a child is cancelled before 6PM the day before they are scheduled, we would not be charged. I subsequently decided that the day care was not a good fit for my daughter. I emailed [redacted] on Monday, September 8th at 3:58PM to withdraw my daughter from day care. This therefore met the 2 week notice requirement to withdraw my daughter as my daughter was not scheduled to return until September 23, 2014. Based on the amount I pre-paid and the payment for 2 days of care ($56), I should have been owed a refund of $112.00. Mrs. [redacted] only returned $54 to me. I have emailed, texted and contacted her by phone for the remainder of the monies I am owed ($58). Mrs. [redacted] insists that my daughter was scheduled for day care on September 8, 2014. I provided her via email with a screen shot of the text which was sent to her with the dates my daughter would be at day care and have received no response.Desired Settlement: I would like $58 refunded to me ASAP.
