Thank you.  Not a word from the company.  Further research reveals that they are not actually a licensed mover and that furthermore they have stolen the money they charged for an insurance policy to cover my possessions.  In short, they are a [redacted] company operating outside of the law.
Thanks,
Will

Review: Hired Aloha Movers on January 15, 2014 to move me from a home in Mont Clare, PA to a house in Reading, PA. Spoke with [redacted] - he said he was the owner of the company. He gave me a quote over the phone of 5 hours at $93 per hour and told me that everything will be wrapped so nothing is damaged. I signed a contract. Aloha movers were suppose to show up at 1pm on Saturday (1-19-14) at my former house in Mont Clare, PA. They didn't arrive until 5:30pm. Three men showed up. They were hungry and tired and one especially was complaining a lot of how tired he was because I was the third moving job for them that day! I wanted this move to go smooth so I offered them pizza as I was buying one for my kids since we waited so long. They were to move the following pieces: two-piece large dining hutch, small dining sideboard, round 4 persons table with chairs, large refrigerator, two tall bedroom pieces, medium size bedroom piece, sofa, two winged chairs, ottoman, king sized mattress and box springs, twin trundle bed and mattress, three night stands, two-piece bureau for my daughters bedroom, 4 TV's including a 40" LG flat screen TV, several floor and table lamps along with approximately 60-75 bins. They finally started to move pieces starting at around 6pm. Two men started moving the largest of the dressers while the other guy moved the bins which I had packed myself and moved all of them into the living room to make it easier and cost effective. The two men tried for over an hour and half getting the large dresser past the steps on the second floor. It took my 11 yr. old daughter to tell them to pivot the dresser so they can bring it around the steps and down! They put several huge gouges in the wall, the floor trim, doorway, and ceiling while moving this one piece of furniture. One of the guys offered to spackle the holes if I had spackle, which I did. He never spackled because he got seriously hurt while trying to move the large refrigerator. The men had to use my tools to remove the door so the fridge can fit through. They put several holes in the kitchen floor while moving it. They didn't wrap anything around the fridge, so when the two men were putting it on the truck, one of the guys fell off the truck bringing the fridge with him and since nothing was wrapped around the fridge, the doors flew open and all the shelves and doors flew off the fridge breaking the bottom freezer door from closing at all and one of the French doors broke off. The man who fell laid in the street unable to move for a while. He didn't want anyone touching him. We eventually got him onto a chair, but he was in a ton of pain and wasn't any real help for a few hours. [redacted] called me to see how the move was going and I told him about his injured worker. He then proceeded to tell me that I would get the "two-man" rate instead of the "three-man" rate. We finally arrived at my new home in Reading at 1:30am on 1/20/14 UGH! It wasn't until the next day or so that I noticed all the damages and missing furniture. The two piece hutch was scraped up very bad, refrigerator broken, large 40" flat screen cracked and does not work at all. My daughters trundle bed broken in many pieces, my daughters top to her bureau is missing. [redacted] told me that it never made it on the truck. It most certainly did because the movers left the side scalloped frame piece behind so I know it is in their possession. I contacted [redacted] immediately. It took him a couple days of unanswered calls, text messages with and without pictures and finally he replied after I told him that if I don't hear from him, I am going to call the police. He replied telling me to call the police, he didn't care. He also said that he filed a claim at 8:15 am on 1-24-14. I texted him asking who the claim was filed with? No reply. Made numerous calls and text messages with no response. Still waiting.Desired Settlement: I want the fridge fixed or replaced. The furniture fixed. I want a brand new flat screen - same make and model. I want them to replace my daughters bureau that they stole. I want all the furniture fixed and I want reimbursement for the damages made to the wall. Anything that can't be replaced, found or fixed, I want a cash refund because that is how I paid Aloha Movers.

Review: Aloha Movers were hired to provide services to move us out of our home on 4/29/2014. The crew caused significant damage to the hardwood floors (drug the piano across the entire floor, instead of carting it) that wound up costing me almost $900 at the settlement table. Aloha stated that they would take care of the issue, but have gone unresponsive to any requests for repayment. I prepared and provided them multiple quotes to repair the damage as well as a copy of the check that I provided at settlement on 4/30/2014. They stated that they would reimburse me through their insurance. After many attempts to follow up with them, they stated that their insurer has cut a check, but then never followed for what amount or where they were even sending the payment (since we had moved). I was only seeking to be reimbursed the amount it cost me at settlement to make the new buyers happy, but after further investigation, I found that they caused even more damage to at least four other peices of furniture that they handled during the move. I just want to resolve this issue and be made whole for the amount it has already cost me to settle for the damages that they caused.Desired Settlement: Receipt of Cashiers check in the amount of $895.00 for damages caused by Aloha Movers.

Hello,

Review: Operating as [redacted] Movers and Aloha Movers, Fred T[redacted], gave poor service in moving my possessions, damaged both the property moved from and to as well as several pieces of furniture. He sold me additional insurance over the phone during the move ($394) for which he never provided documentation or information on how to make a claim. He acknowledged the property damage from the place which I moved and though he claims to be licensed and bonded has not taken care of the issue. He claims that the new tenants have refused his calls but in my discussions with them they say that he hasn't called and no one has come either to give an estimate of repair or to repair the damage.

He provided inadequate blankets (*-[redacted] type) , too few of them and inappropriate protection for premises and property during the move. Hence the damage - documented in photos and available. Despite saying that he would come to the move in, he never showed up. This service was substandard by industry standards in my opinion. He provided no protection for the floors.Desired Settlement: This company provided sub quality service and should be liable at least for the damages as well as the misrepresentation of additional insurance. I believe that his charges should be refunded given his fraudulent claim of insurance and destructive substandard service.

Review: I contracted Aloha Movers for my move from [redacted] to [redacted] the last weekend in July 2014. The movers arrived on the 24th and began loading the truck however the truck they sent did not fit all of our things forcing us to scramble to find other means of moving the remaining items. An additional truck was never offered. The company sent a different crew of guys to unpack the truck on the 26th and found that over 50% of our furniture pieces had been damaged. The crew appologized and said that they wished the company had sent the same guys who had packed the truck and they hoped that the damage to our furniture would affect their tip. One of the guys called into the office to report the damage and said the following; "The guys overpacked the truck", "The leather ottoman was destroyed", and (my favorite) "You can't put metal on top of wood."After working with Alex in the office, we were told that an insurance claim would be submitted for the weight of the damaged items and that their office would issue a company check to cover the cost of a replacement ottoman. We agreed on a value of $389 for the ottoman. After several emails and phone calls to Alex (and someone named Fred in the office) Alex emails us a USPS tracking # with a picture of a check in the amount of $703. The check amount was $336 less than what Fred promised over the phone. We received the check, now a month after our move, and it was not for the full amount. We took the check to the bank and made more calls and sent an email disputing the amount of the refund. After no response, we received a letter from the bank stating that the check had bounced. Another call and email to Alex and he replied that a new check was on it's way. I used the USPS tracking # that he provided only to find that the tracking # was not found. I got Fred on the phone who said that Alex sent the refund, this time in the form of 2 money orders, and that it was dropped at the post office that morning. Still no refund and no reponse from the company.Desired Settlement: At minimum we are requesting a certified bank check or money order in the amount of $718.00. The new amount represents the original amount of $703.00 plus the bank fee we incurred for the returned check.I'd also like the documentation of what was submitted to insurance and the amount of the claim. Fred told me over the phone that the insurance would pay out $650 for the damaged furniture + their company check in the amount of $389 to replace our ottoman. That totals a refund amount of $1,039.

Review: I used this company to help me move. Although very slow and inexperienced, the company personnel moved my items to my new location. However, they did not unload 3 of my items. I called the company repeatedly to ask them if they had found my products and whether they can give me them or compensate me for losing them as per their policy. The manager answered my call once and said that they did find one of my products and would give me more information on it later that day. Since then I have called the company multiple times and left multiple messages without a response. They reportedly have insurance for lost or damaged products during moving but have not called me back to discuss or apologize.Desired Settlement: I want my lost products back or a total of 75 dollars for their combined value.

Thank you [redacted] for your feedback, However our Phone recording was the next day after the job was completed is the guys did a great job no damages but their was a blanket missing, We had spoken a week after and I said I will file a claim for the missing blanket, and you were very happy with the answer, and we spoke all together 3 times not one time it wasn't mentioned that the guys were slow. It was quoted as we have on recording [redacted] and the guys worked hard and fast and nice guys. So after we opened the claim you were asking for $75.00 but we went above and beyond to make sure the you were happy so a check was mailed to you on 6-28-2014, but it is a process that is why it took around 3 weeks for whole process.[redacted] we appreciate your business.

Review: On Friday, June 27th, Aloha Movers and Storage moved our furniture and additional items from our home in Downingtown to our new home in [redacted]. Seven pieces of our furniture were damaged in the move. On June 27th, we spoke to Alex from Aloha Movers regarding the damage and he told us that the company's insurance would pay to have our damaged furniture repaired. We were asked to e-mail photos of the damage to Alex within 48 hours. On June 29th, we e-mailed the photos of our damaged furniture in two different files. On July 1st, Alex acknowledged that he received the photos and said that the insurance company would pay for the repairs per pound per item. These e-mails were sent to an e-mail address that Alex provided to us.

Since July 1st, we have e-mailed Alex three additional times; July 5th, July 12th, and July 22nd with additional questions about the process. In addition, we called and left a message on July 31st. We sent a certified letter on August 6th which was returned to us. We e-mailed the letter to Alex on August 16th. We have not received a response to any of our e-mails or call and in fact, have not received a response from Alex or anyone from Aloha Movers and Storage since July 1st, more than one month ago. We entrusted our furniture to their moving company and they damaged a significant amount of our furniture. They told us their insurance would pay for the repairs, and have now ignored our attempts to contact them for the last seven weeks. We continue to live with all of our furniture damaged.Desired Settlement: We would like to have this matter resolved by having Aloha Movers and Storage have their insurance company pay to have all of our damaged furniture repaired as they said they would.
