Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because:
The problem is not resolved. Returning my fee was a good start since my machine was non-functional upon pickup.I was given a pedal which was different from my original. To date, the business has refused to admit that they lost the pedal. I was not given a choice as my original pedal has never been found. The replacement pedal is loose and does not work like the original. Since I can no longer order my original pedal, please pay for a new, replacement pedal like the one shown here:https://www.amazon.com/***The total cost for me to replace my own pedal is currently $

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:The issue has not been fixed.  The business lost my factory original cord and replaced it with a faulty one.  I would rather have my original cord back but the only way to do that is to buy a new machine.  That does not seem fair to ask.  So, instead, please do the right thing and pay to have it replaced with one that actually works.  The replacement you gave me sits loose in the socket.  No, I do not owe it to the business to put myself in a potentially verbally anusive situation again when all that is needed is to replace my cord.  I expect small businesses to have integrity and fix matters when they arise.  Please do so.
Sincerely,

In response to [redacted]
[redacted] brought her Singer machine in for a service. When she came to pick her sewing
machine up she accused us of giving her the wrong cord. Joel plugged it in and it
worked fine. We told her we would check with our tech when he got back from...

vacation
to make sure. I checked where we keep the repairs and we had no other Singer Machine
in for service at that time. She told us she was going to check with her daughter that uses
the machine and let us know. When she was leaving the store she said “ things like this
happen to me all the time. I'm going to be a pain in your side.”
We waited and didn't hear from her so we assumed all was good. However, she was
emailing to an address we don't use or check. She finally called, and Joel tried to explain
to her that we gave her the right cord and to get on the computer with him and he would
show her. She didn't want to do that. She told Joel that our tech was a thief and it
probably wasn't her machine. We did order a new cord from a singer dealer, and when
we received the cord, it was the same cord we had given her. So to the best of our
knowledge that is the correct cord.
I got email from her saying she used her machine and it didn't work.
When we service machines we do a sew off and leave it under the needle so they can see
how their machine was sewing before it leaves the store. I then asked her to bring it in so
I could check everything out and she replied she worked 2 jobs and she couldn't take
time out to do that. I offered to meet her whenever it was convenient for her and gave
her my cell phone number so she could call me.
We than received an email with accusations that “Joel used the same abusive tactics as
my ex-husband.” At no time did Joel talk to her in that manner.
At this point I felt we could do nothing more to make her happy and I offered her her
money back, a new machine just like hers or a machine of better quality. This was all at
our cost. At no time did I tell her I would sell her a machine.
I sent her a refund check that she has cashed.
I do want her to be happy and feel I have tried to work this out to the best of our
abilities.
We do have copies of the emails.
Sincerely,
Kimberly

We at Aloha Sewing & Vacuum feel we have done all we can do for this situation. The pedal and cord that she has listed from Amazon is the same foot pedal and cord she has. We have refunded her money. Our goal is to make this a wonderful sewing experience. I have asked [redacted] to bring her machine back for me to take a look at the problem she is having so that we can fix it and she refuses.
