We contracted with Alonso Landscaping in 2014 to do snow removal at our house during the 2014-2015 snow season. We asked for the snow to be removed from our driveway, sidewalk and steps. We were mostly pleased with their service during that Winter, so we just assumed we would continue to employ them again for the snow season of 2015-2016.
We contacted them by telephone in the Fall of 2015, and we were assured they would be sending us a contract. But despite repeated requests for a contract, we didn’t receive one. Since a snow storm was predicted for the weekend of November 20 & 21, we contacted the firm by telephone. The man answering the telephone said not only would he be sending us a contract, but even if it didn’t reach us on time, his employees would do our snow removal for that storm.
On the afternoon of Saturday the 21st, we saw an Alonso truck going up our street to another house, who we had given a recommendation to for Alonso’s service. The Alonso employees did snow removal at that address, and we assumed they would stop at our house afterwards. Instead, they raced down the street, and never stopped at our house.
We immediately sent an email to Alonso complaining about the situation but didn’t receive a response. We also called him at both of his telephone numbers and to this date, he has not responded.
We realized we needed to get a different snow removal service, but because of Alonso, most of the other services we contacted were booked. Finally, just a few days ago we found a service.
Thus, Alonso has caused us a great deal of stress, and we don’t know why he did this to us. We always paid our bills to them on time. If Alonso, for some reason didn’t want to give us a contract again, it would have been the most ethical thing to do to have told us so earlier in the season, when we would have had lots of opportunities to get another service.
Needless to say, we would never recommend Alonso for any service again.

Review: This landscaping contractor has failed to respond to numerous requests to replace plants that have died over the winter time. The plants were originally installed last summer and come with a 1 year warranty. I started leaving phone messages starting in May, 2014 notifying them that plants have died. I proceeded to leave several messages in June, 2014 and have received no call backs from this contractor. At this point it seems the contractor is avoiding me. This contractor has failed to deliver as promised on their warranty.Desired Settlement: I want this contractor to acknowledge me and the warranty. I want this contractor to replace the plants that have died over the winter.
