Aloxy Software has been emailing me for the last four months from a variety of email addresses stating that they will sell me information about conference attendees for a conference I am not attending or associated with. I don't know how they got my, and my coworkers', email address(es) or why they are targeting us, but they have refused to respond to emails outside of continued advertising of their "services".

Review: Aloxy Software sent an email offering a list of 8,000 attendees of the HIMSS 2014 conference held in Orlando, FL. As exhibitors at HIMSS 2014, we were interested acquiring this list. I asked several questions via email regarding the content and integrity of the list and received acceptable answers. The company requested a payment in the amount of $1,600 via wire transfer, which was sent.We received a list of about 8,000 names, but almost half of the list were people who had addresses outside the USA and included industries have nothing to do with health care, our primary market. I complained immediately and was sent a secondary list that included all USA addresses, but the combined list included hundreds of names duplicated within companies, and many companies that are not in the health care business.After determining that the list was not what Aloxy Software had offered and what I thought I had purchased, I notified the company that the list was not usable and that I wanted a completed refund of the $1,600 I paid. I now believe that this offer was a complete scam and fraud involving interstate commerce.Desired Settlement: I want a full refund of the $1,600 I paid.
