Initial Business Response / [redacted] (1000, 5, 2015/02/12) */ Mrs [redacted] contacted me originally to do an estimate on her roofUpon the initial consultation I found that there was not adequate ventilation with her roofIn the original quote we included the Owens Corning Sure Vent ridge ventWe install this product with every roof we guaranteeVent Sure is an integral part of the Owens Corning Total Protection System After the initial evaluation Mrs [redacted] informed me she had a competitors bid from Affordable Roofing and asked if we price matched other roofing companiesI informed her that we did in fact do that if the products were comparable and she revealed the competitors quoteUpon receipt of the competitors bid I noticed that the salesman for affordable roofing was a former employee of ours that had been let go for inappropriate conduct on the jobAt the time I did not mention these facts to Mrs [redacted] , only that [redacted] was previously employed by our companyMrs [redacted] informed me at the time that she felt much more comfortable dealing with myself than the salesman (***) from Affordable RoofingShe proceeded to enter into contract with our company and we completed the work within two weeks of her signing the contractAfter the project was complete Mrs [redacted] was kind to make prompt paymentA month or two after we completed her project, Mrs [redacted] notified me via text message that her roof had a slight leak around the chimneyWe immediately scheduled a follow up to address her concernsUpon inspection of her chimney we decided to replace the shingles and flashing in the affected area (that had already been replaced when we installed the new roof) to address the issue of a leak insideThis unrelated act in itself would prove that we have made a good faith effort to stand behind our workFrom there we followed up after the next rainfall to make sure she was leak freeAccording to her all was well Mrs [redacted] contacted me in late January with a concern that her soffit was not a vented soffit and she felt we needed to look at it as she felt we had overlooked that aspect of her roof systemShe claimed she had a crack in one spot of her home that she thought was related to improper ventilation I was in the area the day following our conversation and I stopped in to double check her soffitIt in fact was a hidden vent soffitI made a note of it and notified her that the soffit she had on her house was in fact vented and adequateAfter that visit she notified me that her father in law had inspected our work from the attic and was concerned it may not be getting air flow due to the fact he could not see day light from in the atticI explained to her that the ridge vent we use would not allow light throughI also explained to her that I had personally been on her job the day of the new roof install and witnessed the roof decking had been properly cut back Although I was certain there was not an issue with the ridge vent, I made a second trip to her home to double check our Ventilation at the ridgeI got on the roof and inspected each section that had ridge vent and verified that the plywood had in fact been trimmed back properly After inspecting the ridge vent I followed up with Mrs [redacted] to notify her that she need not worry, the ridge vent was in fact installed properlyI also pointed out the fact that she may consider her house could be settling, as she mentioned a crack, not moistureShe made the comment that her roof is beautiful and it doesn't leak she just had a crack in her ceiling When I attempted to make an appointment with Mrs [redacted] when she could meet to let me in, she stated that she wouldn't be able to meet with me during business hours (during daylight) but that I would have to meet with her father-in-law at her homeI informed Mrs [redacted] that in order for us to follow up with her on an interior issue like this she would need to be present and she insisted that there was not any time monday through friday during day light hours that she could meet me Mrs [redacted] then revealed that she called Affordable Roofing (The company that she didn't give her business to), to inspect our companies work Mrs [redacted] doesn't realize the conflict of interest that she created by calling Affordable Roofing back to her home I feel that if she wanted to resolve her ceiling crack issue she might have been better off calling a Licensed Home Inspector Our last correspondence from Mrs [redacted] was via telephone and she said she would be talking to her husband and calling us backI haven't heard from her since In conclusion, I feel we have made a good faith effort to address all of Mrs [redacted] legitimate concernsI was personally on her project for the entire project and saw it though to completionWe have even addressed a leak spot and double checked all the issues that she had concerns with in reference to her concern for proper ventilation: that she believes led to a ceiling crack Mrs [redacted] says we didn't cut plywood back at the peak, and that it is visible from the attic but she has never provided documented pictures to substantiate this claim, which I requested I take pride in my business and it is my family's livelihoodMy companies reputation is one of excellenceIf I felt there was any truth to Mrs [redacted] claims I would be there tomorrow to address her concernsI'm sorry she has some drywall cracking in her house but her issue isn't one of improper ventilationI also feel that I have dealt with all of Mrs [redacted] issues in a professional manner (***) from (Affordable Roofing), the Salesman that inspected our work has personally sent me threatening messagesHe is a conflict of interest due to the fact he is a previous disgruntled employee of Alpha and Omega ConstructionHe was let go from our company on negative termsMrs [redacted] has allowed [redacted] on her property since we completed the project and I'm not sure what he has done to our work since we completed her project

Alpha and Omega Construction removed and replaced the roof on my houseThe crew acted in a courteous and professional manor at all timesMy roof is much more complex than the average single family residence, but they were prepared and overcame each obstacle as it presented itselfThey manned the job with plenty of men, their tools and equipment were in good working order, and they cleaned up after themselves at the end of each dayMy roof was completed in very short order and when the job was done, the yard looked as if they had never been there
All in all, I was quite satisfied and wouldn't hesitate to recommend Alpha and Omega to my own family and friends

Great company! They brought a large crew and got the job done way better and faster than the original installer

HAPPY

I would highly recommend Alpha & Omega. They do very good work and get the job done quick! They put new vinyl siding, soffits and gutters up for me. Looks great!

Final Consumer Response /* (3000, 21, 2014/12/03) */
12/3/2014: They did come in at the end of October and replaced the entire floor. We have not had a plumber out to install a stool for our elderly parents. I want to have plumber confirm it has been fixed. Will update you if you call next...

week.
12/10/2014: We have an ill family member and wont get a chance to have the plumber validate the work till after the holidays. If there is an issue I will call and reopen the case.

They came out right away and gave a quote. They worked quickly and did a great job! Prices are fair. You get what you pay for.
