likely hold a covered structureThus locates for utilities were needed as pilings had to be installedThis was not included in the original quote and additional time and material was incurred.While *** *** had been contacted they were slow to getto site although numerous attempts contacting them was undertakenAt this time double stain linFt of tongue and groove pine.Locates for utilities was needed as pilings had to be installed.WedAug locates were complete after many days of phoning *** ***Aug pilings were installed at an additional $costAug beams and posts were installedWhile customer was in Portugal he called several times to state he wanted to add lights and a dimmer switchIt is not standard to buy and install lights sight unseen (change in cost, pine ceiling design, tastes)And I did not want to proceed without customer choosing and ordering productThis further hindered progress of the project as I awaited his return.Upon returning from trip customer informed me that a centre post and beam had to be removed as the didn't want it there, that changes the structure bearing loadI removed as requested and suggest that ridge beam be laminated.The customer then informed me that it was too dark under the 14xcovered porchThey wanted to have 2xused skylites installedThe structure was built with standard o/c not o/c.Therefore the structure had to be dismantled, reframed and re shingled to accommodate skylites.Generally using skylights is a maintenance issue years down the roadEspecially used skylights. Repairing a pine tongue and groove vaulted ceiling with water damage is costly.Upon viewing issues with customerA another contractor was on sight tearing off shinglesI was not aware of this until I was on site.
