The company seemed to be nice when I called to schedule an appointmentWhen speaking to the individual who came to my home, they took advantage of me being a new home ownerMade it seem mandatory that a down payment had to be made, when in fact they have a zero down payment promotion that is always runningAt the same meeting they knew that I wanted to install a handicap bathroom being a Disabled VeteranThe representative assured me that they do the paperwork to process the Grants for that purpose, when in fact they didn'tThey only fraudulently, extorted a down payment from me in order to get money and no longer do the business with meThey would call and tell me that in ten minutes they would be at my home for an appointment that was schedule to install over six months later, on the same day without notifying me in writing, by e-mail, and then calling me the same day of pulling this prank several timesUntil they made it seem like they were only going to do the business when they wanted to by overcharging the installment and pricing instead of aiding me to get the Disabled Veterans Grant to install a handicap bathroomNow almost two years later they still refuse to refund the down payment of 2,for the installment after falsely representing their products and ability to assist in the proper process

If the end justifies the means then they're fine Each trades person came in daily with their specific task No one checks them or oversees the work You are your own foreman Tons of mistakes including only installing half the plumbing, delivering the wrong toilet (discovered by the vanity installer) and very shoddy wood work All of these issues were corrected The only time anyone came in to inspect the work was after I called them and then only once and he didn't notice the missing plumbing or toilet I believe the only licensed trade was the electrician However, the end product looks nice with very well done tile and everything working

A simple shower reno that should have taken weeks has turned into month It has been a disaster from the beginning Due to inaccurate measurements by the salesman, the shower pan was too small which resulted in a week's delay Then the sills were too small (again, inaccurate measurements) which resulted in another delay Then the installer was an hour late, only to have to leave and go to Lowe's for an angle tool Then the design of the shower door was changed but the company failed to consult with me AND get the paying customer's approval for said change Then the door installer didn't show up for work so the door install didn't happen as scheduled Another day's delay Communication between the company and the customer is horrible, waited days for a call from someone who said they would call me "right back."Spoke with *** *** the owner this morning who at first told me " The world is not perfect."He seemed to be full of excuses and "rolling with the punches" (his words, not mine)"Other than offering what I feel was a lackadaisical apology, he didn't seem overly concerned about my shower install debacle I don't know how this company has survived this long with this type of attitude

We recently had a tob to shower and complete b
athroom make over by Herl's. The transformation is amazing. I love the fact that I don't have to climb over a tub to take a shower. The workmanship is beautiful. The men working for Herl's are efficient, very polite and they never, ever leave a mess. Thank you Herl's for a job well done.
